Weekend Trip to Open large grass fields near pond

My group had an amazing time! It felt super secluded and private, but we were still within walking distance of the farm so we could easily visit the animals. Marc was incredibly welcoming and was happy to show us around and introduce us to all of the animals, and was readily available at all times if we needed him. I 100% recommend this place to anyone who loves animals and anybody who wants a nice secluded camping trip!

Really well maintain camp area with the added bonus of the farm! The bath house was spotless. I booked the lamb cuddle and bottle feed time and it was the highlight of my week! Clair’s baked goods are really good too.

We absolutely loved our stay. The park is in immaculate shape. As tent campers, It was wonderful having access to the shower house and bathroom. We would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area.

The A-frame was perfect! Enough space to be able to relax in. Every morning, afternoon and evening, my dog and I would sit on the dock gazing out at the lake with Herons, Osprey, Geese, Ducks and Cormorants all flying past. With the boat ramp right there, we would easily cast off on our SUP for the lake. Jesse, his wife and kids were wonderful and so nice. Their place and land offered so much to do. My dog got to feel like a country dog, interacting with the chickens, running through the woods and snoozing by the fire pit. This trip was exactly what I needed and desired. I loved every minute at Jesse's place.

Absolutely Amazing Hosts, they check in with you at the start and then leave you too it. Incredible sunrises over the site, good facilities. Women I was with kept insisting the compost toilet was fantastic. Brilliant spot for relaxed fishing out the stocked pond.

Great site, short walk to the lake edge where we put in our kayaks. Wood pallet was generous and set up was nice. We saw a bald eagle minutes after making a toast to those fighting overseas (can’t make this stuff up)! Found a 1965 nickel on the ground, wonder what other hidden historic secrets are in this area. Awesome campsite!

We loved camping here! It was a beautiful spot!! As soon as we pulled in an osprey dove down to try to get a fish! 3 sets of mallards waddled over & spent some time there. We got to meet their friendly dogs also. It was very peaceful & beautiful! Dargan checked in with us when she got home from work, which was very nice. And both my husband & I were amazed at how clean and non-smelly the outhouse was! Best system ever!

The location is perfect! It's beautiful and feels very secluded and "away from it all", while not actually being in the middle of nowhere. It's close enough to various stores and the highway should you need supplies or whatever, but on the property you can kinda forget the outside world for a little while. And the hosts are awesome! They are gracious and friendly. A+++ 10/10 I highly recommend.

2 nights at Camping on Pipers Pond

This was our first time using Hipcamp and now I’m a little worried it ruined Hipcamp for us since this was such a wonderful experience. We camped here since it was only about 20 minutes from Congaree National Park and seemed nicer than the Congaree campground. Dargan, her husband, and their two dogs Piper and Pearl are very pleasant and their property is incredible. Piper’s Pond is a beautiful wildlife pond that they created that we had the pleasure to camp next to. We enjoyed seeing the fish and ducks feed from their feeders and watching the large variety of birds around the pond. Piper and Pearl would come keep us company, and they’re great, well-behaved dogs, and Dargan is very accommodating if one wouldn’t want them around. The campsite itself is excellent, with wonderful seating and firepits, and the outhouse is clean and has everything one needs. Overall, we were super happy we found this place, and would definitely return!

James was very accommodating around my plans to arrive changing multiple times due to distance, crazy weather and other delays. The camp sites are very well kept up, very tidy. James delivered hardwood to my site while I was away and included some pine for starting the fire. I look forward to checking out Big Creek RV Park when I’m in the Greenville SC area again. 5 stars!

I loved everything about the campsite, nice and secluded but not too far from a gas station if you forget something. Stephanie is very kind and helped us out find the campsite with no problem. Definitely will be back and recommend stopping here. The graveyard is really cool also!

Weekend Trip to Kaleidoscope Farm

We camped here with our two dogs, we were able to let them free roam no issues, they loved it! We had a great spot, and had enough distance from the other campers, we didn’t even notice anyone else had been there till we decided to walk the property! Plenty of space for a big family or just a couple like us! Stephanie was super accommodating and allowed us an early check in and was extremely friendly and welcoming, she truly makes the environment a warm welcome, and feels like home away from home! We drove 12 hours to camp here and we would do it again in a heartbeat!

They are both slightly sloped. Site 1 is on the grassy knoll overlooking the pond. It is sunny early in the day and gets shady as the day progresses. It is closer to the outhouse. Site 2 is under the trees and right beside the pond. It gets spotty sun throughout the day. We live through the woods past the campsites. An outhouse with composting toilet, potable water, picnic table, grill, fire pit, fire wood and trash can are provided. Please note that we do not offer a 30 amp camper hookup, only a 15 amp electrical cord running from our house that will run lights, but not a/c or heat.

We hunted, fished, made mud pies and played outside for hours, as long as we were in shouting distance for supper time! I am so fortunate to be the daughter of two amazing parents, who had a dream to build a working farm from nothing more than a logging trail in the woods. They built a 3 story, 10,000 square foot house by themselves- while raising a family! We have 200 acres of farmland that features rolling hills, multiple ponds, creeks, farm animals, show horses and countless wildlife viewing opportunities. Wild turkey and deer roam free all over the farm, coveys of dove fly out from the pastures and trails, and coyotes howl in the night. Listen to the frogs croaking, crickets chirping and whipporwhills calling every evening under a magical blanket of stars. Take a nature hike through the trails that meander through the woods around the park. Our newest venture is to offer primitive camping and some cabin rentals around our 60 acre Agripark! For those wanting to step it up a notch, we have erected a large concrete floor, covered event barn (for parties, family reunions, weddings, cowboy church, etc..,) and also a huge petting zoo barn with an area behind it for pony rides and 4-h/FFA functions. Also, a greenhouse is being erected next, that will teach people about aquaponics and hydroponics! Many things are on the immediate horizon for this special property. While we are under heavy construction at the moment in some areas of the park, many amenities are currently available. Why not unplug from the daily grind and spend time with those that matter most? Yet, we are just a few miles from 2 boat ramps on Lake Murray which offers fishing and boating. Also, we are just 30 miles from metropolitan Columbia, historic Newberry, and 15 miles from the town of Lexington, SC. The Capital City of Columbia, just 30 miles east, offers Riverbanks Zoo, Richland County’s Congaree National Park, Saluda Shoals Park, EdVenture Children’s Museum. The Newberry Opera House is 36 miles away and The Big Mo Drive-in Theatre is in Monetta, 13 miles. Indian Trail Public Golf Course is 15 miles in Leesville. Or just hang out at the farm, view the animals, or fish in our pond. We have stalls available for equestrian travelers and a trail around the property to walk or ride your horse. Pets must be on lease or voice control and poop scooping is not an option. No WiFi yet.
