Weekend Trip to Blacks Fish Camp
My wife and I love camping at Black's camp. It's a very quiet and peaceful place to visit, enjoy all the wildlife, fishing, kayaking boating and more. This is our 2nd time camping at James Blacks camp ground and will visit it more often. If you like kayaking from the campground down to the boat landing at hwy 15 it takes about 3 to 3.5 hrs. If you fish, floating and take a break on the sandbar it's a bout 6 to 6.5 hours. There's no where else we would rather be. Thanks again James Black for this wonderful place.

The sites were just as described! It’s a beautiful, quiet retreat. The bathhouse and outdoor shower were clean and well stocked. The hot tub was perfect for hanging out in the evening. Even being so close to water there were no bugs, no mosquitoes…it was wonderful! We had a great time with our friends that had the other spot. Looking forward to booking our next visit. 100% coming back!

We had such a fun time here! Michael was so friendly and welcoming and the area was beautiful. The outside of the cabin was a little creepy but the inside made up for it. You can tell how much love goes into this place. Campsites are well spaced and have plenty of room. Bring strong bug spray, the ants bite!!

The Dome is beautiful and unique! Just slightly off the road (but completely quiet) and into the woods next to a small creek is the location to a secret getaway. Something you can’t find anywhere else. My husband and I stayed on a 90° weekend but the dome was able to keep cool with its ac unit. Everything was super clean and organized. The bed was extra comfortable and firm! This dome and its environment allowed my husband and I to pause and take a moment for ourselves.

This was my first experience with Hipcamp and it was so enjoyable! I would definitely come back to Piper’s Pond again. Both sites are lovely with views of the pond and wildflower patches. The other site was vacant during my one night stay, so I had complete privacy even though I was at the site down by the water. Your vehicle / camp equipment will block some visibility of this site if there were other guests. Having water, electric, and composting toilet available eased me nicely back into tent camping. As others mentioned the two dogs on the property are as sweet as can be and the hosts do a great job of checking in to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need without imposing. Excellent experience!

They are both slightly sloped.  Site 1 is on the grassy knoll overlooking the pond. It is sunny early in the day and gets shady as the day progresses. It is closer to the outhouse. Site 2 is under the trees and right beside the pond. It gets spotty sun throughout the day. We live through the woods past the campsites. An outhouse with composting toilet, potable water, picnic table, grill, fire pit, fire wood and trash can are provided. The cottage Tree house is located on 2.5 acres of wooded property. Check in time is 4pm and checkout is 11am. The tree house comes with all amenities for our guest and has an upper deck with seating and a charcoal grill. The lower deck has seating and space and just sit and relax or enjoy breakfast and coffee. There is a half bath on the lower deck and a full bath in the tree house with a walk in shower. We do allow pets. The house is on a mini split system for heat and air. We do live on the property and use the deck under the treehouse as there is a bathroom there and a tool room. You may walk the property however there are areas under construction we do not allow our guests to go.
