4 nights at Hole 15 Camping

We want to share with other Hipcampers about what a great experience we had staying here. We ended up staying through most of the winter. It is a beautiful, safe, peaceful place. Our host Owen was quick to reply and respond quickly if we had a questions or needs but otherwise we felt like we had our own space. Many improvements were made in terms of extras and cosmetic and it was obvious to us that Owen took being a camp host very seriously. It is difficult for RVers in New England during the cold months. We are grateful to have found it and feel lucky for the experience. We highly recommend staying here. Thank you again to Owen for creating such a wonderful spot.

Absolutely beautiful & spacious yard. I decided to go a little past the main yard beyond the historic looking stone walls and into the forested area for a hammock camp. It truly felt like a secluded spot out in the wild woods. I saw a deer and heard the cries of distant coyotes calling to each other. I loved every moment and will definitely be booking again in the future for a tent campout or a car camp… or both 😃

2 nights at Cape Cod Cranberry Farm

Lovely rural location down a dirt road in a field next to a cranberry bog. Very quiet, safe and private. No facilities at all but just come prepared.

1 night at Plymouth Camping Spot

Lots of debree left on site, kinda like an abandoned plot. Steep bumpy incline at entrance which is hard to find. Never talked to host but neighbor has a nice dog

Weekend Trip to Birch And Pine

We had a great stay here. We arrived on the later side, just after dark, but the spot was easy to get into and find thanks to the directions Patricia sent. Best part of all, there was a fire just waiting to be lit in the fireplace! My son and I set up our chairs, grabbed our snacks and cozied up, without having to build a fire in the dark or hunt around for firewood. Night was quiet and peaceful and I totally recommend staying here!

Amazing host, gave us spot 2 which had a little more privacy. Enjoyed a nice fire patty came out and checked if we needed anything and was super incredible. House is separate from area by privacy fence. Highly recommend would stay again

Everything was perfect. Kathleen was very nice, she helped us in the night and gave us fresh water for our RV. We had a thanksgiving breakfast in our RV surrounded by beautiful trees and nature. 5 stars camp ⭐️

This spot was great for our adventures! My husband had a work conference at New London and my son and I came along for the adventure. This site was under 30 mins from the base and train station making it a great central location. We were able to visit mystic Connecticut (less than 20 mins) Newport RI (1 hour) and Boston (1.5 hours driving and commuter train/ almost 2 hours the day we were dropped off at Amtrak in new London). Hosts were amazing, 30 amp was reliable. Spot had minimal road noise. The coyotes may serenade you at evening, this is just the joy of Connecticut and proves just how private this spot can be. Highly recommend.

We travel a lot and found this to be an affordable and pleasant place to rest and relax for a few days. Our host Owen was very attentive to our needs if we had any questions and responded promptly via the Hipcamp app. The view from the 15th hole was very nice.

Weekend Trip to Cozy Wooded Nook

We had a great weekend camping at Kathleen's. They took the time to show us around when we arrived and provided us with an extension cord and had the portable loo bucket setup in a little privacy nook. We had our own area with plenty of tables and chairs and a hammock. It was far enough away from another campsite on the property. The one drawback that is mentioned in other reviews is proximity to the municipal airport. It was surprising how busy it was with loud prop planes taking off or landing what seemed like every 20 minutes throughout the Sunday we were there. It was less busy the next day, so may be more of an issue on the weekends.

Weekend Trip to Moose's Midnight Getaway

Great, simple, and safe place to stop and sleep for the night. Electric hookup was as expected with an extension cord waiting as promised. Asked for a local pizza recommendation, and was not disappointed. Otherwise, minutes from some of the most beautiful beaches and surfable waves on the east coast.

Campfires permitted. Wood for sale on-site is $5 per bundle — mix of pine, oak, maple, ash, and poplar. The randomly dispersed hammocks are perfect for relaxing, watching sunsets through the tree line or reading a book with the morning birds. The site is about 2 minutes from the nearest gas station and less than 10 from a grocery store and other shopping. Best suited for van life or small drive-able campers or talented travel trailer drivers as the site will require you to back in from the main road between a gate. Seen in photos. The entrance is a gravel driveway. 30amp and 15amp electric and water hydrant/spigot are at the campsite. The dump station is located closer to the house, away from the site.
