With the original home built in 1785, Milk Thistle farm is on the historic register and is comprised of the main house and 5 acres of land. It is run as a small non-profit animal sanctuary and is home to rescued chickens, goats, and pigs, as well as two humans and their dog and cat companions. The main property is fenced in and is closed off to visitors. We have two sites; the orchard to explore that can also double as hammock camping, as well as a small wooded nook. Both are next to the goat pen. There is parking for cars and bikes. We try to minimize our impact on the environment as much as possible, and encourage our guests to compost, recycle, and dispose of waste accordingly. Uncle Jerry's farm is a 5+ acre property with the main house and barn located on the front of the property close to the road with a large flat field area with apple trees, horse chestnuts, and huckleberries to harvest in season. At the back edge of the field the property turns mature white pine and deciduous forest that slopes down to the Moscow Brook. We very warmly welcome any suggestions to improve the stay at this beautiful property we are just getting going and many improvements are planned in the very near future as well.

Situated in historic Hopkinton established in 1757 near to beaches, fishing, hiking trails, public golf courses, disk golf, riding stables, Mystic, Seaport, Watch Hill, casinos, farm stands, Newport, I-95 and Amtrak. Mushroom hunting among glacier rocks, and monstrous ferns. It's a getaway that's close to everything!

We are a 48-acre historic, conservation fiber farm smack in the middle of Rhode Island-in an area that was once all farmland. We are a bit of a holdover-and we take our stewardship role of this farming legacy quite seriously. Despite our glorious natural setting, we are actually very close to all the places people want to visit in RI-including Providence (15 minutes), Newport (30 minutes) beaches (15-40 depending on which one you chose) and a bunch of parks and hiking areas (15-45 minutes max). We are also near Ct and Mass-so a good home base for all kinds of exploring! Stays are limited to three nights.

We had a nice stay at the Getaway Ranch. It felt private and secluded but was still fairly close to the beach and other amenities. Shower was clean and hot. They were quick to take care of us if we needed anything. We were serenaded by crickets and barred owls each night.

We had a great camping time with my friends at main campsite. The view is beautiful and private campsite. The host prepared almost everything we needed for camping, such as firewood, trash bags, and tents, even though we brought our own stuffs. The next day when we woke up, it started heavy raining, but we were still very good, and felt comfortable to take a shower after that. Thank you for the great campsite.

I love the spot. Big property with this campsite secluded in the back. Took a wheel barrel of things down to the campsite by the brook. The final stretch of trail is somewhat steep if you’re carrying a full load of things like I was. It was nice swimming in the brook. Peaceful and would recommend.

Back for our second stay at Getaway Ranch this summer. We thoroughly enjoyed the Main Campsite this time. Made full use of the kayaks and I love all the stone surfaces. The space was quiet, private and has it's own dock on Alton Pond. I'm almost certain we will be back again next summer and bringing some friends along too. Thank you for providing a safe and accessible space.

We had a good time at Uncle Jerry's farm. It was barebones, we cooked hot dogs on the fire, then retired to the tent for some white noise from the stream. We were going through some personal trials, and this was a great escape. The property is lovely and a good spot for just bare bones hanging out and getting away. Recommend ma and pa's for a good sandwich and maybe a sweet treat, and just relaxing and taking in some nature. We did go on a holiday weekend and heard some music from a distance while at the fire pit, but once we went to the tent the stream drowned it out. Not sure if that was due to some rain in the area but all in all a good experience for an affordable price

The gazebo on the pond at Cow Springs was amazing! Such a peaceful little spot. Karyssa was very easy to work with and she even brought down an air pump for the mattress as the temperatures has dropped a bit. Overall a beautiful spot that is highly recommended!

We absolutely loved this campsite! We stayed here with our kids, and they had the best time fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. It was such a great place for the whole family to unplug and enjoy the outdoors.
We brought our own tent, but there were also two tents already set up on the site. There is still plenty of space if you want to bring your own tent as well. The campsite itself is huge, with two giant picnic tables that were perfect for eating, playing games, and hanging out.
This is a true camping experience, and honestly, it has been the best campsite we’ve stayed at so far. Just come prepared! Bring flashlights, toilet paper for the outhouse, and your own water jug for washing your hands, dishes, and cooking utensils.
The community center, where the bathroom and shower are located, is a bit of a walk from the campsite, but we didn’t mind at all. We used the outhouse during our stay and only walked over to the community center when we wanted to shower.
The farm stand is also a great convenience. If you forget something, you don’t necessarily have to leave the ranch to get it. And if you do need a larger grocery run, Walmart and other grocery stores are nearby.
One of our favorite parts was the nighttime sky—it was absolutely beautiful!
We had such a great experience and are already planning to come back next year. Highly recommend this campsite, especially for families looking for a peaceful, fun, and authentic camping experience!

Everything was exactly how it was described. I was able to hook up water in 30 amp electric to my camper. The outdoor shower with hot and cold water was pretty cool. It was nice to have the Porta potty so I didn’t fill up my camper. The fire pit was pretty cool. Our Host was very informative about things in the area and was also responded fairly quickly to questions I sent him.
