The Sabana River, one of many that originate from El Yunque National Rainforest, the river goes through the property. All the campsites are close by the river with each having their own access and individual fire pits. The local attractions are: -El Yunque National Rainforest 15 minute drive up the mountain. -Las Paylas rockslides (2 minute drive & 8 minutes walking). -The Luquillo beaches which are La Pared, Playa Azul, Barneario de Luquillo. Nos encanto el lugar. Mucha Paz. Los baños, duchas con agua caliente, jabón y shampoo, hamacas y áreas de cocina lo hacen ideal. Ver los cucubanos en la noche fue mágico al igual que los días con neblina. Se pueden observar varias aves. El Río Limon Trail cercano es muy bueno. El camino al Río Limon dentro de la finca es fuerte, especialmente en el regreso subiendo. Ida y vuelta nos tomó hora y media. Por las noches baja la temperatura así que es bueno llevar abrigo. Luis es muy amable y servicial además de compartir conocimientos y experiencias. Nuestro nieto de 13 años disfruto mucho la experiencia al igual que nosotros.

The view is amazing. Electricity and hot water for shower are great. The distance towards the river ain't no walk in a park. There is a better, easier option 5 minutes by vehicle down the road. Host was great.

El lugar tiene acceso directo al rio, tiene varios espacios para acampar. Hay facilidades de baño, duchas y fregadero (hasta proveen jabón para fregar). Pudimos llevar nuestra mascota. Cerca de Las Pailas y otros ríos del Yunque. Nos hemos quedado otras veces y nos encanta el lugar. Los empleados están pendientes, verifican el área y hay muy buena comunicación con la administración. Súper recomendado!!!

2 nights at Finca Bienvenida

Fernando’s place was an ideal tent camp site for staying in Isabel and checking out the local beaches. His property was just a short drive from multiple beautiful beaches (Jobos was the best one), but the property is in a quiet part of town that was very peaceful. They have good facilities - a baño and shower - as well as an electrical outlet as needed. Also there are some trees to provide some shade. Fernando was quick and easy to communicate with, and his parents were staying on-site as well and very welcoming and helpful with local recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Hacienda Monte Rey near El Yunque

What a beautiful place to camp! I was solo travelling and just slept in a hammock next to my car. It‘s so peaceful. Everything was very clean, showers worked good and the campsite features many seating places. The road is a little bumpy at the beginning but i had no problems with my small-medium sized car. So if you want to get out of the hussle in San Juan and have some relaxing time in the Jungle. This is your place.

Fue muy relajante, los baños estaban limpios y el lavamanos también. Tampoco nos quedamos nunca sin papel o jabón de manos, me encantó. También me encantó la fogata, fue mi parte favorita del campamento. 10/10. Llegar es más fácil de lo que parece.

Weekend Trip to Finca Las Puertas De San Pedro

Nos encantó este sitio, fue un lugar para desconectar. Jesus y Madelyn estuvieron pendientes en todo momento y dieron un servicio al 100%. El terreno es gigante para escoger donde quieres acampar, por las noche estuvo riquisimo con el frio y los sonidos de la naturaleza. La fogata estuvo super también. 10/10.

2 nights at PR Rainforest Retreat

Papo and Sana have created something truly special, a peaceful nature sanctuary that almost feels like a temple dedicated to the forest. You can tell how much intention and care they’ve put into every part of the experience. The cabin was comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and very well equipped. It had everything we needed to prepare our meals and enjoy a relaxing stay surrounded by nature. One thing you absolutely shouldn’t miss is your scheduled visit to the Keajra swimming hole. It is absolutely magical and was one of the highlights of our trip. Also, make sure you visit all the other swimming holes while you’re there. It truly feels like paradise there and you won’t regret it. Be prepared for the drive. The road is a genuine rural island adventure, steep, narrow, and quite bumpy in places. Make sure your vehicle is in good condition, and if you’re traveling with others, let your most confident driver take the wheel. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to disconnect and immerse themselves in nature.

Finca sajorí, tremenda experiencia pasamos la noche del 4 de julio. Los dueños son tremendos atentos y el tour que dan fenomenal. Los recomiendo gracias por compartir tu sueño con nosotros. Nala 🐕‍🦺 la paso súper Potoco es un personaje que le da la bienvenida a todos los que llegan. El río está hermoso y la vista que ni se diga una experiencia para desconectarse y vivir el momento.

Las Puertas de San Pedro nos regaló un amanecer hermoso, pese a que estaba nublado. Sus anfitriones, Madelyn y Jesús, se mantuvieron comunicados todo el tiempo con nosotros para asegurarse de que llegáramos bien y la pasáramos chévere. Nos permitieron recorrer la finca y Madelyn fue muy generosa al regalarnos hijitos de algunas de sus plantas medicinales. La vista desde la cima de Las Puertas de San Pedro es preciosa.
