After the death of lake lucys founder Raymond Mealy in 2007 the amusements and train were all removed as well as the zoo. The Steinman family purchased the property in 2017 and began remodeling the pavilion and putting in water and sewer lines to be able to use the campground and pavilion again. We are within a few miles of a dollar store if any supplies are needed, a gas station is at the end of the road and we are only a few minutes from cook forest as well as the tionesta reservoir. Water is available on site for campers and campers can use the bath house. In the bath house there is 1 full bathroom with a shower and the other bathroom is just a half bath. Quiet and peaceful, come relax and enjoy time with your family at lake Lucy!   we are also conveniently located close to the bike trail near clarion as well as the bike trails in cook forest and oil creek state park. This was a wonderful property there was so much to do within a short distance wish we could have stayed a whole week. Hosts were very hospitable delivering firewood and giving us a shuttle so we could pick up our kayaks after a day of paddling they're also very knowledgeable of the area and we're able to point out a few things that we took advantage of being able to do that we would not have found if it wasn't for them

The host was outstanding, the spot was super cute and easy to camp at and it was a great experience. The spot is right off the road, across the street from a stream and down the street from a dam where you can easily go hang out and/or fish without a lot of other people around. There's a picnic table, swing, trash can and fire pit, as shown in the pics. The pond is right next to the campsite, yet somehow I did not get bothered by a single mosquito even though they eat me alive in my own backyard that does not have any kind of water nearby. It was really convenient and just a super easy place to camp. My only warning to other campers is not to park too far in beyond the fire pit- my dumb arse got a Jeep Gladiator stuck in the mud. Susan and her husband had to come tow me out, which they did with ease and they were really nice about it, even though I interrupted their entire Sunday. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you.

Weekend Trip to Steelhead Run Recreation Area

It was a great site. East site. Both are great. They face each other but they like 40 feet away. Full hookup is always nice. It was a minute walk to Lake Erie. It’s really rocky so I suggest shoes. The sunset was beautiful. Sun rises through the trees on the other side. There is a well groomed walking path along the Chautauqua River on the other side of our site. It meets with the lake. Walked the beach back to our access area. One home, close by, made a cool rock castle. Very pretty. It was quiet and secluded. But town is only a couple miles from here. There are plenty of eateries. We went to the farmers market in Moore park to get corn and tomatoes. Also cool artisans there. Especially the wood carving. They had baked goods. Mostly fried food. You can hear the train. It must go fairly fast because they blow the horn. Super close to I 90. So very convenient. You do need a self contained rig. No public restroom/ shower. Will definitely be going back. We really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed everything about Aspen Lookout. Very secluded well kept property. Loved the pond and hiking trails! Plenty of wood for your fire, even had kindling and a lighter in case you needed it. We definitely plan on coming back to this site!!

We camped at the aspen overlook with our kids, dogs and our pop up camper. The property was amazing and very secluded on a high ridge overlooking the woods and pond. There were lots of hiking trails throughout the land as well. The ponds and creeks were very pretty. We brought wood but not enough, we were thankful that some was provided. The grounds are very well kept and the porta potty was very clean.

Marty and were so accommodating! We were welcomed and shown the options for parking. Our site was gorgeous. We could have stayed for a few days to check out the bike trails and hiking, but alas, we only had one night at the farm. Would definitely stay again. A bit off the beaten path, and so worth it! We came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s 30th birthday and had a few friend’s join us for a few days and it was a wonderful experience! This was our first time using Hipcamp so we weren’t sure what to expect but our experience tops any camping experience we’ve had previously! The weather was beautiful with it being warm and sunny during the day and nice and cool during the nights! It was so cozy and quiet! I loved listening to the sounds of the frogs in the pond near the site and hearing the rushing water in the near by river! It was really nice looking up at the stars at night too! I also loved how many butterflies there were flying around! Susan was a very responsive and attentive host, making sure we had everything we needed and I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a nice peaceful and quiet weekend camping trip!

We love the great campsites in the woods! We rented both the East and West sites and enjoyed a great time with family. We watched the Persiads meteor shower on the beach late each night and saw some great ones! We took kayaks and paddle boards and the water was perfect. We searched the beach for beach glass, kids collected stones and had a skipping competition, we sat around the fire and ate mountain pies. It is just a great private beautiful place with everything we need to make memories with the kids and grandkids. Thanks, Barb, for everything. We will be back!
