Located roughly 20 miles from Beaver Creek State Park, DLR Mustang Ranch is a 17-acre peaceful sanctuary for many wild and previously wild mustangs. The Ranch offers veteran and first responder mustang programs year-round. Please let us know if you are a veteran or first responder for a special rate. Accommodations include a small one-room cabin nestled on a little pond a stone's throw from the main house and veteran program area. The cabin has electricity, a microwave, small refrigerator, tv, futon, heating and cooling; however, it does not have plumbing. Nearby is an outhouse with electricity and a water pump fed from well water. There is a firepit for cooking and picnic tables available. There is also a flat space for tent camping right beside the cabin area. The outhouse and firepit are shared between the cabin and tent campers. If you prefer a more secluded experience, please book both sites. There is space for an RV in the driveway next to the woods with electric hookup and access to the outhouse, water pump, and firepit. While this is a working ranch with farm animals, our aim is to create a peaceful relaxing environment in order to unwind and enjoy the creation around us. Going in the pastures with horses while unaccompanied by the owners is prohibited; however, it can be arranged for you to meet and interact with the mustangs if interested. There are other farm animals including a sheep, a goat, pigs, donkeys, peacocks, turkeys, chickens, ducks and barn cats on the premises. If you want a quaint country escape complete with farm sounds, this is the spot for you!

All ready for your summer expedition! Completely sealed up and draft free. Still a very primitive site, but the interior now keeps in the warmth from the fireplace. A set of bunk beds and a 4 seat table as well as some cots makes it work for up to 6 people. Plenty of tent area around of you have a bigger group! Sunnyday's farm and forest was a Christmas tree farm in the 1950's. I've owned it for the last 40 years and it is now a horse farm with pastures and woods. Rustic area of 25 acres of pastures and forest bordering a hundred of acres of railroad and municipal forest. Great for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking. 1.5 miles from Deer Lakes park which has fishing, hiking, mountain biking, frisbee course and a great playground. The Allegheny river, judged to be one of the cleanest in the country, is just 6 miles away. Harrison Hills park offers great hiking along the river and an occasional river otter. The Rachel Carson Trail and Baker trail are just a few miles away. It is a secluded log cabin in the woods on top of a hill overlooking a pasture. It is a very primitive cabin with a fireplace, brick floor, large porch, fabric interior and no chinking in the logs. We provide a bunk bed and cots and a picnic table. There is a large grassy area in front of the cabin for tents. There is no vehicle access, no electricity and no water at the cabin, but LOTS of downed wood for fires. There are horses, goats, chickens, ducks and a pig that roam the pastures. The cabin is about 300 yards from the parking area up a fairly steep hill, but the location is worth the walk! If you're stopping with an RV or trailer we have ample parking near the road and have overnight accommodations for horses Great place for a stopover.

This small farm is 7 acres of the original 25 my great grandmother purchased for her family in 1934. Guests can enjoy the cabin as well as the barn and surrounding property with animals and greenspace. The Camp Cabin: Camp in comfort in our "little cabin in the woods." Accommodates up to 6 guests, with a queen-sized bed, a futon and two low single beds in the loft, accessible only by ladder. Kids 6 and older may sleep in the loft-- just like Laura and Mary-- and they can read a chapter of one of Laura Ingalls' "Little House" books before bed! The cabin contains a small refrigerator, microwave and gas fireplace (no, the pioneers didn’t have that!). Fresh eggs and other snacks are provided for breakfast. The restroom and shower are located in the walkout basement of the farmhouse, a 40 yard walk from the Cabin. The restroom has a private entrance and is used only by guests during their stay. The Farm Property: Pet and interact with goats and other farm animals. The goats and chickens love it when guests bring them tortilla chips, crackers or vegetable scraps. Enjoy fun activities on the farm and around the property. Guests are welcome to use any of the common areas for fires or grilling. Quiet hours are from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. The Barn: The barn has a recreation area with basketball, foosball, air hockey, ping pong and swings. The climbing wall is off limits to guests. This facility is open May through October. The barn is available for parties for an additional fee, depending on the size of the group. We have seating for up to 60 guests. Please note that the barn is not climate controlled (no air conditioning in summer, but the doors open and we have fans). The barn is closed November through April.

1 night at Lily Pad Cabin & Mojo's Loft

I don't have words big enough to describe how wonderful Mojo's Loft is. I felt the peace I was seeking as I pulled up. The area directly around the loft is beautiful and serene. Across the driveway, there's a pond with a water feature. To the one side is a man made waterfall. They are both so pretty. I walked up the few steps to the tiny fenced in yard and was again greeted with a tranquil setting. There is a concrete patio with some seating and tables, a gas grill, and a fire pit. The yard is tiny, but enough to let your fur baby get some fresh air or enjoy the sunshine. Upon entering the loft, all I felt was a warm welcome. It felt very happy and comfortable. The tiny kitchen area has everything you need for a quick meal. The dining table has enough room for a couple of guests. The queen size bed is comfortable and inviting. The living room area is perfectly furnished with a recliner and reclining couch. There's even a little desk to read through the pamphlets, menus, maps, and guest book Tamara so thoughtfully provided. The bathroom is very nice, complete with a bathtub/shower. There is internet available if you need it. There's a window air conditioner that cools the loft completely and am electric fireplace that in sure is marvelous in the cooler months. Please be sure to read the binder! Find out about their charitable donations to animal rescues and K9s! That just makes this little place so much better in my book.

Weekend Trip to DLR Mustang Ranch

We booked this cabin for one weekend….what an amazing experience! The hosts, Renee and Dale, are wonderful, warm, and incredibly welcoming. The property is beautiful. the horses, the cabin, and Fred the turkey are all charming in their own way. We had a 2 year old with us, and even she had a good time. Renee and Dale went above and beyond…they baked fresh cookies to welcome us, which was such a thoughtful touch. We’ll definitely be coming back more often. Highly recommend!

1 night at Sunnyday's Forest

I stayed in the hayloft one night. I slept in a sleeping bag on a sleeping pad on a yoga mat and I was very comfortable (even though I had back surgery 2 months ago). I read the bad review someone else left and all I can say is if you don't like hay or the smell of horses, it's probably not for you. It's definitely rustic but I found it comforting and pretty cool. The animals are all great and it's really quiet and peaceful up the slope behind the barn - great for birdwatching or just sitting outside. I will definitely come back next time I go through that part of PA. The host is lovely and seems to have a big heart for animals. I'm allergic to artificial fragrances people insist on using at AirBnBs, so this is a great alternative for people like me who don't mind roughing it a little bit and love being around animals.

wow, what an inspiring place to get away. the landscape is stunning, and the cabin even more so. jim’s incredible thoughtfulness and attention to detail made this spot feel like a home away from home. the area is very clean and well maintained. my husband and i were only able to stay for one night, but we will definitely be returning! next time, we’re excited to check out the surrounding attractions that the hosts mapped out in the welcome book. cant reccomend jim and tracy enough, thank you both!

We last minute decided to go camping and found this cute little spot! It was a very much needed break from the stress of the "real world" and we loved everything this place had to offer. Getting to sit in a hammock and listen to the birds was awesome, the hummingbirds got close enough to hear their wings buzzing. We spent a lot of time around the fire, identifying different bird calls, and listening to the spring peepers at night. We brought a few of our own things and bedding to make the cots extra cozy, but they provide a lot for you such as different ways to light the fire, a bug zapper, and a solar powered port with USB slots! It was super cozy and great for the soul. We will absolutely be back 🤙🏻

This spot is amazing! The cabin is nested up a small hill that is by a creek, its super private and peaceful. You have the site all to yourself. Its very well equipped for a comfortable camping stay. We were on a tent camping streak and days were rainy and this gem is just what we needed to give us a break. Hosts were really welcoming, attentive and thoughtful. It was also inspiring to read about the cabin’s story and how it all came together in the manual. They were also really generous with the first free bundle of woodfire they offered, along with all the little attentions and details left for us. You can tell they are campers themselves and that they really put their heart in taking care of the place. Check in was smooth and simple, instructions were clear, communication was good. Our only regret is we couldnt stay longer. One of the best quality price deal we’ve found on hipcamp so far! Thanks so much Joe!

What a great campsite! So fun taking the dog to explore the land. Highly recommend if you're into birds. We heard a lot of very different/cool bird calls! Rained the entire duration and still had a great time. Will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Lily Pad Cabin & Mojo's Loft

Mojo's Loft was great. It is a very quiet, and beautiful location. It was close and convenient to the local towns. The loft was a nice space for the 3 days we stayed with a nice small fenced in area at the entrance of the loft for our dog. Everything was nicely decorated and basic kitchen necessities. Would definitely book again!

3 nights at A-frame rustic cabin

Jim and Tracy were very generous hosts ...they've carved out a beautiful little corner of the world and included this cozy rustic cabin with thoughtful detail. I spent three peaceful nights there alone, getting to take in the natural scenery, complete with a lovely lake very close by. During my stay (around mid-May) I could hear all the way from the cabin porch the little cascades and riffles from where the lake rushes into what looks like a small creek. You'll hear a plane overhead once in a while as well as occasional commuters along the main road mainly in the morning and evening; otherwise, it's pretty quiet for stretches at a time (even quieter on the weekend). I didn't see or hear a single person the entire time, except one vehicle that had clearly made a wrong turn and went right back out. Most sounds are just the wildlife, the wind in the trees, and the water. It was very easy to find, and check in went very smoothly. If you have to park at the entrace, it's not a far walk to the cabin ...only about 100 feet up a gentle incline. The toilet is located in a hunting blind and very clean. I have T-Mobile and got service, though I kept my phone off for most of my stay (and downloaded the area in Google Maps just in case). I'm a solo female traveler and felt very safe here. If you're thinking about getting away for a while for some peace and quiet, don't hesitate to book this site!
