Learn more about this land: Our property is located near the tiny village of Glen Hazel, our unique area offers close proximity to many watersports and hiking opportunities. Visitors can watch bald eagles and osprey as you enjoy kayaking, fishing and nature at this primitive campsite. We have just one site. Our campsite is very private and includes a fire ring, a picnic table a trash can and a swing. Parking is available right at the site. It's just a 2 minute walk to the northernmost kayak launch on the East Branch of the Clarion River. Here you will find a public porta potty for use during the summer only. Several small jack dams will make your kayak experience a delight. We have a private 1 acre pond just a stones throw from the campsite that visitors can enjoy. Fishing is permitted in the pond, no license needed. Fly fishermen will enjoy the thrill of catching native and stocked trout in the most beautiful section on the East Branch of the Clarion River (PA fishing license and trout stamp required). Nearby is Bendigo State Park that offers free use of picnic areas and swimming in an immaculately kept pool. Just 1 1/2 miles away is the Dam Inn where you can stop for a beer or for a nice dinner on the deck. Adjacent to the campsite is State Gamelands #25. This enormous tract of public land is open to all for hiking, biking and fishing the pristine native trout streams, including Middle Fork, Crooked Creek and several others. Only a 3 mile drive will land you at the East Branch Lake, a seven mile long lake where you can put your boat in and fish, kayak or water ski to your hearts content.

The cabin is located on my now husband's family property. They raise beef cattle, corn, oats, and hay, and have owned the land since the 1930s. Our hilltop is beautiful, but we may be biased! It is generally quiet and we have wonderful sunrises and sunsets. The one-room cabin has a double bed, (linens provided), and table and chairs. The view from the porch overlooks agricultural land and it's not rare to see deer grazing near sunset. Relax by the fire or explore the adjacent PA State Game Lands on foot or bike. Boat and fish the Allegheny River that's a short drive from the cabin.  The cabin does not have electricity or running water. Founded in 1955 as a campground, amusement park and pay to fish lake, lake lucy has a rich history of having families spending time together. After the death of lake lucys founder Raymond Mealy in 2007 the amusements and train were all removed as well as the zoo. The Steinman family purchased the property in 2017 and began remodeling the pavilion and putting in water and sewer lines to be able to use the campground and pavilion again. It has been a place for the Steinman and Mealy families and friends to enjoy for the last few years and we felt it was time to once again welcome the public to enjoy our property! We currently have 11 sites with full hookups (water, sewer, electric(50/30/20amp). The campground water will be turned off November 10th due to freezing temperatures. We will still have electric and sewage hookups available. Learn more about this land: Campers can fish, bike, swim at lake lucy. They will have access to both ponds. Top pond has bass and have caught bass over 20 inches with the largest being 23 inches and over 8 pounds. Both ponds have bass, crappie, perch, bluegill, and carp. We are within a few miles of a dollar store if any supplies are needed, a gas station is at the end of the road and we are only a few minutes from cook forest as well as the tionesta reservoir. Water is available on site for campers and campers can use the bath house. In the bath house there is 1 full bathroom with a shower and the other bathroom is just a half bath. Quiet and peaceful, come relax and enjoy time with your family at lake Lucy!   we are also conveniently located close to the bike trail near clarion as well as the bike trails in cook forest and oil creek state park. This was a wonderful property there was so much to do within a short distance wish we could have stayed a whole week. Hosts were very hospitable delivering firewood and giving us a shuttle so we could pick up our kayaks after a day of paddling they're also very knowledgeable of the area and we're able to point out a few things that we took advantage of being able to do that we would not have found if it wasn't for them

The host was outstanding, the spot was super cute and easy to camp at and it was a great experience. The spot is right off the road, across the street from a stream and down the street from a dam where you can easily go hang out and/or fish without a lot of other people around. There's a picnic table, swing, trash can and fire pit, as shown in the pics. The pond is right next to the campsite, yet somehow I did not get bothered by a single mosquito even though they eat me alive in my own backyard that does not have any kind of water nearby. It was really convenient and just a super easy place to camp. My only warning to other campers is not to park too far in beyond the fire pit- my dumb arse got a Jeep Gladiator stuck in the mud. Susan and her husband had to come tow me out, which they did with ease and they were really nice about it, even though I interrupted their entire Sunday. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you.

We loved setting up our truck camper on Scotts property. All of the set ups were there and he gave clear instructions on how to access everything. Down a gravel town road there is a gate to the property, then down a dirt road and you are in secluded heaven. We were there for 8 nights and didn't see 1 person. All we heard were owls at night and an occasional dog barking in the far, far distance. We loved the solitude which we really wanted and needed. There were some trails marked around the property and some ATV/logging roads? But whichever route we chose, it took us through private woods. My dog absolutely loved it! She was so happy to have us living her life for a little bit....napping outside on the grass whenever we felt like it, playing games and just being in the moment. We drove up to Wellsville, NY a couple of times and they had everything we needed, it was a beautiful drive. You can get firewood at several spots along this route and in Wellsville itself, along with groceries and alcohol. There is an Amish farm that sells baked goods on Fridays and Saturdays on the left as you approach Wellsville, definitely try their goods, especially the little turnovers. We will definitely be back to Scotts place, we loved it!

We came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s 30th birthday and had a few friend’s join us for a few days and it was a wonderful experience! This was our first time using Hipcamp so we weren’t sure what to expect but our experience tops any camping experience we’ve had previously! The weather was beautiful with it being warm and sunny during the day and nice and cool during the nights! It was so cozy and quiet! I loved listening to the sounds of the frogs in the pond near the site and hearing the rushing water in the near by river! It was really nice looking up at the stars at night too! I also loved how many butterflies there were flying around! Susan was a very responsive and attentive host, making sure we had everything we needed and I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a nice peaceful and quiet weekend camping trip!

Beautiful spot! We had a wonderful time relaxing, enjoying nature and the views from our 32 ft camper. Easy time setting up and leaving. Our dogs had a blast running around and not having to be on leashes. We went on walks during the day and had campfires at night. The sky was perfect for star gazing. This was such a nice getaway and we will definitely go again! Scott was a great host and always responded quickly when I would have a question. 5 stars!

Scott’s land was exactly what we were looking for. Completely secluded, full hookups, nice spot to park our 24 foot camper. We had more than enough room to fit our two vehicles as well. There’s private trails for ATVs too!! Scott had great communication and responded very quickly. Loved our stay here and we will be back again! Thanks again Scott.

If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with no cell service and stunning scenery, this is the perfect spot! Our jobs can be so consuming, and this getaway was exactly what we needed to unwind, camp, and reconnect with the outdoors. This was our 3rd camping trip this year, and without a doubt, the best place we’ve stayed yet. I didn’t check the mailbox right away (which had a tablecloth inside), so I made a last-minute trip to town to buy one—turns out, I didn’t need to! The guest book is such a great touch; reading everyone’s notes had us laughing and appreciating the simple joys of camping. Morning coffee by the pond, with the sun shining and birds singing, was absolute perfection. We explored a bit but also spent plenty of time simply relaxing and napping—and it was wonderful. Big shoutout to Susan, who had our fire already going and plenty of firewood waiting for us. Considering it poured the entire drive there, that was a huge help! We’re already planning our next trip back—can’t wait to return!
