This property and farm has been in our family for 3 generations. In 1964 my grandfather started the campground due to limited camping at New Germany. My father tells stories of it being filled with guests all summer long! Over the years there was few upgrades and now it's in need of a facelift. Landscaping, electric upgrades and bathhouse remodels were completed Spring 2021. We will continue to renovate in phases it's been a labor of love, but you can still see the beauty of this rural location and enjoy the peace and quiet. Hope you enjoy your stay. Lots of trees, shade and nature. It's located near New Germany State Park, 1.5 miles by car, less than a mile by foot. The state park has a lake and hiking trails. Garrett County has so much to offer, waterfalls, lakes, hiking, skiing, Amish gifts, history, fresh air, beautiful scenery. The campground was first started in 1964 by my grandparents, we are currently completing renovations in phases.

Early settlers (from Germany, of course) found this place to be near and dear to heart, reminding them of their homelands—thus the name. There are 10 miles of trails that are just begging to be roamed, offering up scenic views of the diverse woodland here. There is also a small lake that is prime for fishing, dipping, and some classic canoeing. When your soul is begging to be unpluged from technology, this is the place to come. Escape from the busy city bustle for a bit and let the camp vibes roll soak in.

I've owned this 35 acre property for over 20 years. Originally purchased as an investment property, my family and friends that camp with us convinced me to keep it. Now it is time to share our secluded happy place with other families and friends to enjoy the peace and beauty of being close to nature in a very secluded location yet close to services in town. I've owned this property for over 20 years and I want to offer the opportunity for people to share the very private setting.  Over the years, many people have enjoyed hanging out in our 20' x 32' party pavllion near the fire ring and the stream.  Lots of room for multiple campers and RV's.  Seasonal restrictions apply during snow periods and spring thaw periods.
