A Fairie Tale farm indeed! The campground/farm has it all, if you know what ”real” camping is. As a busy family from the city, we value rest, quietness and most of all privacy when we go camping, and Susan’s land delivered! The best nights’ sleep, ever! It was lovely to be surrounded by nature, wake up from the birds singing and not by noisy neighbors ( although we did have neighbors but they were polite and respectful ). Susan is super nice and hardworking, she made sure we are settled and got everything we needed, she did all the same with the other campers.
Ricketts Glen State Park is about a few minutes drive. We did the “Falls Trail” trail, ( because we are a family who hikes ) and oh boy, we have hiked difficult trails, but this one, please do not underestimate, you will need proper footwear! The trail we picked was a “moderate” one, but we find the way back is hard because it was very slippery where the “falls” are, and there’s so many of them!
Seeing the horses in the afternoon was such a delight, because our site was just right in front of it! We can’t wait to go back, maybe next camping we will pick shelterwood! Thanks again Susan!❤️

Was only there one night, but probably the best Hipcamp experience I’ve had. Susan was very communicative and accommodating, and offered more than expected. Really enjoyed taking the paddle board out on the pond before settling in at the site, and my dog loved getting a swim in herself.

We loved it here!! Susan has a beautiful property. Our campsite provided plenty of privacy and space for four adults and our two dogs. Quick drive to Ricketts Glen, which is where we spent our Saturday. We look forward to returning in the future.

My friends and I had an amazing weekend at Susan’s camp. Serenity Ridge had a gorgeous view, late night visits from the horses, and plenty of space away from the other sites for privacy. This site had both flat, open space as well as covered wooded area. Susan was extremely responsive and provided all the potable water & fire we needed at no additional cost. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

We had a great time! Susan was very helpful with many aspects of our stay-- which campground site to choose, what activities to do nearby, addressing any issues that came up during our stay, etc. The place is very peaceful and the children really enjoyed spending time with the horses! This is our second time staying here and we plan to return again!

Shelterwood is our favorite probably at Susan's farm. In the trees, up on the second of 3 levels. You need to try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

My dog and I loved camping at Susan’s place! It was gorgeous to wake up the sounds of the horses grazing in the field and be completely surrounded by nature. Susan greeted us when we got there and made sure we found our site okay and even helped me setup a bit. It rained the full weekend but we didn’t let that get us down. It was a short and easy drive to Ricketts Glen. There were plenty of trails even at camp though if you want to hike those. Even with the rain, the mosquitoes were not horrible.
Susan provided a full container of potable water which was a godsend, and a full stack of wood. I will definitely be back!

We stayed at the moondance retreat site at Fairie Tale Farm over Memorial Day weekend for my husbands 30th birthday! It was our first camping trip in our new camper, and we couldn't have picked a better place. Susan is such a welcoming and attentive host. Met us at the front of her property, and lead us to our camp site. She provided dry wood and water at the site, and helped us get situated. We saw the most beautiful double rainbow that overlooked the most amazing view! Her horse Blue came to visit us as well as her pony. We took walks around her farm land while drinking our morning coffee, and sat down by her pond with the coolest adirondack chairs that overlooked her barn. Peace is what we experienced there from the moment we pulled in, until the moment we left. We are so grateful, and will defiantly be coming back again!

We had an excellent stay here at Vista Ridge. Large, shady site that’s well spaced from other campsites. You do feel you have your own private space to yourself. The porta potty is a close walk away and was clean and well maintained. You’ve got an excellent view of the farm and the hillsides beyond and we got to see a good sunset one night. Susan was easy to communicate with and very welcoming. The farm has a decent amount of campsites you can reserve, all look to be well spaced out. We’d definitely recommend this for anyone looking to camp in the region! Ricketts Glen is only about a 15 min drive away.

The property was well maintained and comfortable and Chris and Jackie were so hospitable, always stopping by to make sure we had all we needed. Our site had plenty of space and the property does not hold a lot of campers so we never felt like we were “apartment camping.” We were traveling with young kids and the nice open space was great for them to play baseball, soccer, lacrosse, etc. we also had two dogs with us and they were so happy to be on cozy grass with a wooded area close by. My family thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we were close to all the activities we wanted to participate in.

We stayed at the Shelterwood site which was beautiful and well maintained. You have forest and meadow views which is a plus!! There’s a designated fire pit and a picnic table at the site and a super short walk away is a bathroom (porta potty). The site had everything we needed and Susan was super helpful showing us to our site and brining us extra firewood! The property is gorgeous and Susan is a wonderful host - would highly recommend a stay at one of the many sites listed.

Me and my friends truly had the best weekend tent camping on Susan’s land. From the views to the animals, we enjoyed every second of our stay. It was quite close to Ricketts Glenn State Park as well, which was perfect for us wanting to hike. Other activities nearby included a local flea market, a drive in movie theater, antique shops, and so many other beautiful little spots. The porta potty was immaculately clean as well, that was big for us! Susan was so kind and brought us extra firewood as our other firewood was wet from the rain. Again, simply couldn’t recommend staying here enough, we are already planning our next stay!!

This is a beautiful farm with the best host! We have been here a few times now with our two young children and we have a wonderful time each time we go. The grounds are wonderfully maintained and Susan, the host, and her dog Stevie are so friendly and helpful. And having water and firewood at the site is a huge plus. There is a lovely lake and it’s never too crowded. A perfect respite from city life.
