We run our mill with recycled cooking oil and a diesel blend.

This cabin has been in my family for over 40 years, and we love to share it's charm with the world!
Sleep like a log in our one-room charming cabin on a small private lake lot with non-motor boats only.
Little Elk Lake is 43 acres.
Queen bed with linens provided, plus 2 adult cots with pads and sleeping bags.
Rowboat plus 1 youth kayak, two adult kayaks and a canoe are available for your use, and we have life jackets in many sizes.
We are sorry but the pontoon boat cannot be used by guests. The fishing is EXCELLENT and bring your binoculars - BALD EAGLES frequent the lake!
We want you to have so much FUN during your visit, but we are not a party spot.
The lake is rural and quiet, and so we must request low noise levels after 10 pm in order to keep our neighborhood HAPPY!

Our second time staying at the cabin and it was absolutely great!! Russ was also amazing he made sure we had plenty of fire wood for the cold nights! We will definitely be back!

I loved my stay in this cabin; everything was beautiful with the snow and very cozy. The only thing is that I went at the beginning of winter and it was very cold. If you're looking for a place without internet and want to be away from the city, it's perfect for you.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Mr ,Russ the GM. The cabin fire was prelit for us and it was really toasty. Thanks Russ!
We recommend bringing lots of water and lanterns as there is no running water or electricity at the saw mill.

Weekend Trip to Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake
This was our second visit to the cabin, the first being in 2020. It is peaceful and cozy and our weekend was so relaxing. There is all sorts of wildlife in the area. We saw deer, bald eagles, turkey and chipmunks! A great weekend overall!

This is our second time visiting the cabin. Everything you need is there. No frills, but if you want an experience, relaxing in the woods and being with nature, it is the perfect spot for you.! Our hosts were very generous and responsive to any needs we had. We will definitely go back next year! The Eagles on the lake are always a beautiful sight to see!

The cabin was small and cozy. Perfect for my fiancé and I. We brought our two cats which if your pets are adventurous I wouldn’t recommend. There were many small places for my fur babies to hide (and not in a good way.) The only negative thing I have to say is the description boasted many pots and pans which wasn’t the case. There was only one small pot and one frying pan. We had to drive almost 45 minutes one way to a Walmart to buy an electric griddle. My fiancé loved the lakefront fishing. He caught so many fish. Watching the sun rise and set over the lake was beautiful. If you’re looking for peace and quiet and don’t mind no indoor bathroom I’d highly recommend Sunset Shore Cabin

1 night at Elk Creek Escape/Sawmill Woodzie
The Woodzie cabin was perfect for a short solo getaway, and would be wonderful for couples or small families as well. Had a great overnight with my dog, started a fire and heated my dinner over it, and saw some shooting stars overhead later in the night. The loft bed was very comfy. Rrally enjoyed the vibes and the charm. The spot was private but felt very safe and secure.
I was planning on camping the next night so I already had some stuff with me - I recommend bringing a comfortable camp chair if you plan on hanging outside, as well as water containers. I wasn't sure of the stove situation so I had packed an extra, as well as a bluetooth speaker, coffee press, foil and a small table for campfire cooking and extra battery lights and a fan for inside. It was simple and sweet and just what I was looking for.

Second time booking this cabin. This is an amazing, peaceful place to stay and I will surely book again. Somehow even better than the last stay with even a few upgrades. So peaceful, quiet and cozy.
The cabin is well stocked with almost everything you could think of that you may need for your stay. We packed up the dogs, two paddle boards, two totes, a cooler of food/spices, the leashes and didn’t need anything else for a four day stay!
Fishing lines are prepped and ready to go. Kayaks, a canoe, and lake floats ready to take out. We were able to catch and release small mouthed bass, and pan fish. Firewood waiting for you by the pit.
Bring your binoculars for the beautiful eagles and wild life all around.
Plenty of close by hiking trails and waterfalls!
Both of my huskies, just relaxed and enjoyed the scenery.

We had a wonderful time in this gorgeous part of Pennsylvania. There was a scheduling mishap and we weren't able to get the Sawmill Woodzie cabin, but Connie let us stay at the campground instead, which we loved. Cabin had running water, an induction stove, electricity, and yet still a camping feel with trails and a fire pit. Next time I would likely book a cabin at the campground directly because it was so comfortable and scenic. She even had a water slide available for the kids!

Weekend Trip to Elk Creek Escape/Sawmill Woodzie
My partner & I came to Connie’s Woodzie cabins to celebrate 6 months together, and it was fantastic! We used the word “perfect,” to describe our weekend so many times. We had plenty of privacy, but were never far from a nice warm shower or hospitable hosts if we needed either. It was a challenge for us because it was more rustic than what we’ve done before, but thanks to Connie we quickly made use of the propane stovetop, the porter potty and the fire circle! Super close to beautiful trails, wonderful stargazing, and JUST secluded enough to be inaccessible to the outside world when we want a little escape. As long as she keeps hosting, we ABSOLUTELY will be coming back together.

This place was so amazing we instantly fell in love with the place. Very peaceful and extremely beautiful. The lake was literally the perfect touch which brought everything together. Literally the escape from reality that was much needed. Supplies were provided, all we did was bring food and clothes. Visited the blueberry festival at a nearby town about 10 minutes away which was really exciting. Plenty to do at the site and the surrounding areas. Highly recommend it was 10/10 . My partner and i will most definitely be back soon. Thank you Jennifer for providing such an amazing place. We did our best to leave the place better than we found it. Its such a treasure

Wonderful hosts and cabin! Having access to the campground was great for the showers and other amenities. The cabin was clean and had plenty of kitchen supplies and things that we needed. Our dog loved roaming around the camp site. Connie and Andy were very helpful and checked in with us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed.

The best camping experience we ever had. One of my life pleasures is spending time at a lake. Beautiful quiet peaceful lake.
Beautiful cabin. It had everything you could need besides food and clothing. I feel as if Jennifer's cabin is everyone's time away and we should all care for it as our own.
Jennifer was a great host. Very responsive and she made us feel at home. Thank you Jennifer for a wonderful time.
I also get the sense of people leaving items behind for others to enjoy. My family and I left a fishing rod, fishing bait and hooks, some first aid kits. We replaced the hand soap that we used up.
We also left some icys for other families to enjoy. I feel as if everyone should contribute something when they leave and leave the cabin looking better than when they arrived. What a great time.
What a great cabin. There also was a little river bank with rocks so when it rains the water flows and make waterfall dripping sounds. So relaxing. The only thing is when it rains it gets real muddy and slippery by the bathroom.
After visiting many cabins we finally found our favorite. We will be back next year for sure. Thank you Jennifer
