Your stay in the treehouse is off–grid, thoroughly insulated and heated by a wood-burning stove, also we do supply you with a Jackery 1000 lithium battery generator to power the shower, or to charge your phone or laptop. We also use a composting toilet for the cleanest and most environmentally sensitive relationship to the surroundings.
You will learn firsthand what off–grid glamping is like…and that includes a hot-water shower.
We will supply you with bed linens, towels, bath soap, shampoo, plates, cups, utensils, at least 2 1/2 gallons of fresh drinking water, pots and pans, grill utensils, salt and pepper, paper towels, a sink and dish soap, dish towels, toilet tissue, hand sanitizer, a camping percolating coffee pot, coffee cups, a flashlight, and some firewood (for the mini wood stove—see amenity limitations).
Mobile phone service is definitely adequate for working from a tree. :-)

The Douglas Place

The Douglas Place is located on 55 acres of Greener Pastures Farm, Armenia Mountain, located in Troy, PA, adjacent to 3000+ acres of Tioga State Forest.  Unplug, relax by the fire pit, admire nature, enjoy the flora, fauna, and dark skies. Hike the trails around the property, hunt/trap, fish local native trout streams, pitch in to get your hands dirty at the greenhouse, or help with farm chores.  With two bedrooms, a bathroom featuring both a clawfoot tub and shower, a loft area with children's toys and twin beds, living room, and kitchen, The Douglas Place comfortably accommodates up to 8 people and children—along with 55 acres of land to discover! Adam & Belle Douglas originally farmed the land in the early 1900s with 30 sheep and 10 cows, according to the 1910 census. Steve, Nicole, Anson & Nora Harris have been renovating the rustic farmhouse since 2014 when they purchased the land.Learn more about this land:The Douglas Place is an old farmhouse, now used as a cabin, situated on 55+ acres of prime hunting ground. Cook your meals on the stove or on the campfire!  The Douglas Place is adjacent to 3000+ acres of PA State Forest Land perfect for hunting, fishing or other Armenia Mountain adventures such as hiking/walking, mountain biking, snowmobiling, and photography. Unplug, sit on the porch, light a fire in the pit, and breathe in the simple life of Armenia Mountain. Watch wildlife, admire the stars in the dark skies, hear the songbirds, and pick a wildflower bouquet. Enjoy our sustainable farming and homesteading lifestyle by feeding the livestock, collecting eggs, or roll your sleeves up in our greenhouse to dig in the soil!

Sugar Run Cabin #1 - Riverview

Sugar Run Cabins was originally built by the Whites about 50 years ago.  The cabins have been improved and updated several times over the years, most recently in 2015/2016. They sit along the Susquehanna River, one of the oldest rivers in the United States.
