We clean between all visitors - and are currently keeping quite a distance to protect you, the site and everybody involved. The property is a 5 minute drive to the hamlet of Mountaindalewhich has a lovely Rail Trail for hikes and bikes, and some excellent dining options including @ highvoltagecatskills, in addition to creek bar a magical cafe & bar with outdoor seating and fire pits that serves delicious modern Polish American comfort food, great cocktails, and has live music and events on weekends. There is also an artisan pizza spot with indoor/outdoor seating, hipster vibes and fun cocktails and live music @ thedaleNY For shopping you can also stop by @ forageandgather - they have foods, meats, gourmet deli and coffee and carry all the little things you may have forgotten to bring along in addition to a locally and craft focused wine and spirits shop. Also stop by @badgrandmashop for the most vibrant and stylish clothes for all sizes and styles. Not to be missed. There is also a lovely yoga studio and bollywood dance spot in addition to some other delightful gems in town. There is superb hiking nearby at Neversink Unique Area in Rock Hill. Also Bashakill trails (and conveniently a vineyard with tastings and events right nearby). Your'e also about 30 minutes away from super cute fun larger towns and attractions like New Paltz, Livingston Manor, and tons of incredible Catskill hiking and nature opportunities. NOTE! There's an excellent Farmers Market on Saturday's in Rock Hill from 10-1pm from June to September also. Come find us there! This campsite is nestled in the deep woods of a 120 acre farm that offers beautiful views coming and going. After being allowed to use the restroom at the stone farmhouse, you will then go rustic and start your 3/4 - 1 mile hike in (approximately 20 minutes to the campsite) past the fields and pond down the path into the woods. The trail is remote and you will instantly be able to leave the sights and sounds of civilization behind you and breath the clean forest air. Wear good hiking shoes because portions of the hike are uneven and rocky. This site is best for experienced campers who know how to pack light with just the essentials as there is no tractor service to this campsite. When you arrive at the campsite, you will be within 20 feet of a year round stream with brook trout and in a hundred foot tall hemlock canopy nestled between two brook meadows. A 9,000 acre forested preserve abuts our property so you will be able to completely relax, bird watch, enjoy the wildlife, or fish for a brook trout breakfast without hearing the sounds of anyone but yourselves. The campsite has a stone fire pit, split log benches for seating, a canvas privacy blind around a stand of trees where the composting toilet resides, and a food bag lift to attach your food and trash bags to about 100 yards from the campsite. Unlimited Split firewood is free next to where you will park that you can take down to the site. All trash needs to be carted out with you. We can't accept mixed trash as it will attract animals that will knock over the trashcans and make a mess. No food goes in our personal trashcans as we have learned this the hard way. Located 50 miles from midtown Manhattan (approx 1:08 minutes) is our brand new campsite located right off the Appalachian Trail. The camp is at the base of Wawayanda mountain right between the iconic hikes "Stairway to Heaven" and "Pochuck Boardwalk" on the Appalachian Trail. Hike right from camp up to "Pinwheel Vista" (named one of NJ's best viewpoints!) At the entrance to the property is the Valley Farmers Cooperative that sells local grass fed meats and artisanal farm goods. You can walk two minutes to Heaven Hill Farm which has plenty of goods, produce, and fun fall activities like pumpkin picking and haunted hayrides. Drive your car from route 94 directly to your campsite nestled in the woods with a great view of the valley. A perfect getaway from the city with plenty to offer. About 10 minutes down 94 is the beautiful town of Warwick or about 4 minutes in the opposite direction is the town of Vernon. Warwick is a quaint small town with plenty of great restaurants and bars, and famous for its apple picking. Vernon has plenty to offer as well including the popular ski resort/waterpark Mountain Creek and Minerals Spa (Located just under 10 minutes away.) The quiet charm of Wawayanda State Park appeals to hikers, campers, swimmers and boaters. Forested hills surround Lake Wawayanda creating a restful backdrop for canoeists and fisherman, while steep mountains challenge casual as well as serious hikers. A twenty-mile stretch of Appalachian Trail runs through the park, while the top of Wawayanda Mountain offers sensational views. More than sixty miles of trails are marked in the park.

Our farm is home to herds of White-Tailed Deer, Wild Turkeys, Painted Turtles, Red-Tail Hawks, my Off-The-Track Thoroughbred horse, chickens, ducks, and Aslan, my Cocker Spaniel. Birdsong, frog song, the babbling creek, and the thundering hooves of Deva will serenade you to sleep. During your stay, you're welcome to hike, swim, and fish in the pond. Boating and fishing opportunities abound nearby, in the Delaware River or the famous fly-fishing creeks. Bethel Woods is a mere 20 minutes away. From 1939-2020 our family ran a summer sleep-away camp for children on the farm, with an emphasis on caring for each other and the land. Located in a small valley at 1400 feet of elevation, our fields and woods are home to a broad diversity of native plants and animals. Our family has been caring for this land since 1926, but before European colonization it was home to the Lenape people from whom it was forcibly taken. Acknowledging this fact and working to expand awareness of Indigenous cultures and their rights is important to us. While at the farm, besides the amenities listed in each listing, you are welcome to hike or walk around and explore our farm which has many acres of woodland, creeks, springs, a pond, and open fields. A hot day is a great time for a walk along - or in - the creek. A rainy day brings out the Red Efts - beautiful orange newts that are all over the woods when you know where to look. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking on our trails (pick berries and apples in season!) or in a nearby location, fishing in the Delaware River (need a license!), kayaking/tubing and wildlife watching (don’t feed the bears!). We have eagles that live across the road! And at night, you'll be amazed by the stars twinkling in the sky as you make s’mores before drifting off into a great night’s sleep. For those who want to experience the great outdoors, the Hillside Retreat is a fully outfitted 10’ x 12’ canvas tent camping site with sweeping views of the Delaware Valley. The tent is situated with plenty of room to enjoy camping with privacy, peace and quiet. This campsite is nestled in the deep woods of a 120 acre farm that offers beautiful views coming and going. After being allowed to use the restroom at the stone farmhouse, you will then go rustic and start your 3/4 - 1 mile hike in (approximately 20 minutes to the campsite) past the fields and pond down the path into the woods. The trail is remote and you will instantly be able to leave the sights and sounds of civilization behind you and breath the clean forest air. Wear good hiking shoes because portions of the hike are uneven and rocky. This site is best for experienced campers who know how to pack light with just the essentials as there is no tractor service to this campsite. When you arrive at the campsite, you will be within 20 feet of a year round stream with brook trout and in a hundred foot tall hemlock canopy nestled between two brook meadows. A 9,000 acre forested preserve abuts our property so you will be able to completely relax, bird watch, enjoy the wildlife, or fish for a brook trout breakfast without hearing the sounds of anyone but yourselves. The campsite has a stone fire pit, split log benches for seating, a canvas privacy blind around a stand of trees where the composting toilet resides, and a food bag lift to attach your food and trash bags to about 100 yards from the campsite. Unlimited Split firewood is free next to where you will park that you can take down to the site. All trash needs to be carted out with you. We can't accept mixed trash as it will attract animals that will knock over the trashcans and make a mess. No food goes in our personal trashcans as we have learned this the hard way. Located 50 miles from midtown Manhattan (approx 1:08 minutes) is our brand new campsite located right off the Appalachian Trail. The camp is at the base of Wawayanda mountain right between the iconic hikes "Stairway to Heaven" and "Pochuck Boardwalk" on the Appalachian Trail. Hike right from camp up to "Pinwheel Vista" (named one of NJ's best viewpoints!) You can walk two minutes to Heaven Hill Farm which has plenty of goods, produce, and fun fall activities like pumpkin picking and haunted hayrides. About 10 minutes down 94 is the beautiful town of Warwick or about 4 minutes in the opposite direction is the town of Vernon. Warwick is a quaint small town with plenty of great restaurants and bars, and famous for its apple picking. Vernon has plenty to offer as well including the popular ski resort/waterpark Mountain Creek and Minerals Spa (Located just under 10 minutes away.) The quiet charm of Wawayanda State Park appeals to hikers, campers, swimmers and boaters. Forested hills surround Lake Wawayanda creating a restful backdrop for canoeists and fisherman, while steep mountains challenge casual as well as serious hikers. A twenty-mile stretch of Appalachian Trail runs through the park, while the top of Wawayanda Mountain offers sensational views. More than sixty miles of trails are marked in the park.

Weekend Trip to Hippie Havens: A Groovy Retreat
I would recommend this place to all my friends! The cabin itself was perfect for a weekend getaway having all the essentials needed and some nice extras like the hot tub and sauna. The area was incredibly beautiful and close to a cute little town. Despite some travel issues, we were met with kindness and flexibility, which show how amazing they were at hosting! We also got some very good local recommendations :) we’ll definitely be back!

Our night in the Tipi was such an amazing and unique experience. Cold weather ruined our original camping trip and I was able to book Lauren’s Tipi pretty much last minute. It was so comfy, and furnished perfectly. She had fresh water, wood, fire starters, blankets, chairs, everything we could possibly need. Even the composting toilet was welcoming. No complaints here, except for the cloudy skies. Thanks again!

Weekend Trip to Glamp at Coyote Creek
The campsite is so great for our needs: 3 good sized tents for our families to camp together. They're close enough that the little kids can safely run between them and around the common area but not so close it's noisy for each other. The grills, fire pits, dishwashing stations and toilet/shower amenities are clean, useful, well-maintained and appreciated. As were the badminton net and swings! Loved our second annual trip here.

We such a groovy time at Hippies Haven. The hosts thought of every detail to make our stay special. Loved the hot tub and listening to records while sitting by the fire. The heater keep the room nice and toasty. View is spectacular and it was so sweet to wake up to a deer family grazing in the yard.

Had an amazing camping trip with my four lifelong friends and my two boys—great mix of old memories and new ones. We hiked to waterfalls, played games by the fire, and soaked in the fall scenery along the river. The cabin was simple but perfect, and the best part was watching my kids jump right in with the crew, making it feel like the traditions we started as kids are carrying on to the next generation.

I was with a group of 7 and the place comfortably slept all of us! It was pretty chilly out but the insulation of the place and the heaters kept us nice and warm. There was plenty of firewood supplied to keep us toasty as well. The view of the stars at nice was also spectacular. We had a truly magical, outdoor adventure here. We hope we can come back in the future!

2 nights at Hippie Havens: A Groovy Retreat
We’ve stayed here twice now with our dogs and had an absolute blast both times. We loved it so much that we came back within a month, and we’re already bummed we won’t get to return until next season. Every extra is worth it - the sauna is incredible, the hot tub with the TV is a huge hit, and adding the Nintendo Switch and projector makes for such a fun movie night on the porch. The food is all delicious and clearly made with care. You can tell a lot of thought went into every detail. There are fun little things to read and listen to, and it feels peaceful and private once the sun goes down. The big windows give you a perfect view of the stars at night and the sunrise in the morning. Shaggy really goes above and beyond. We’ve stayed in tons of places over the years, and this is easily one of our top three favorites. Don’t wait, book it and have a great time.

We loved our stay at the Hippie Haven for my birthday weekend getaway. Everything was explained prior to our arrival and set up when we arrived. Our hosts, Shaggy and Kendra, made themselves available throughout the trip, ensuring we had everything we needed for a peaceful weekend. We utilized the hot tub and projector - and both were left with easy to use instructions. Everything inside the haven was left for us to access with ease. The space they provided was clean, fresh, and cozy! Hippie Haven is the perfect, relaxing weekend away!

We really loved our stay at the tipi. Lauren was exceptionally accommodating and refunded us when we decided to leave a day early because of the weather. The tipi was lovely, everything was provided (firewood, starter logs, drinking water etc etc) and having an open fire inside was a very special experience. It's nicely tucked away in a small wooded area behind the host's home. The bedding was very warm and we stayed cozy. Lots of great activities in Warwick, Sugar Loaf, and the surrounding area as well. We will be back!
