1 night at Abandoned School

Awesome spot to camp! The property was very spacious! We diddnt get to stay the whole night due to torrential rain, but we will absolutely be back to spend more time camping and exploring here.

1 night at Rustic Acres - Elevated RV Camping

We loved camping here for a night, wish we had a bit longer. The camping area had many updates, a comfortable common room with lots of seating, internet and coffee. Modern, clean bathrooms. Laundry, outdoor games and play areas, even a “beach” with seating by a running Crick. We stayed in one of the adventure sites, perfect for a Class B camper…. Power, water and a dump station were included.

This was my first Hip Camp booking and I was really happy with the great communication from the host, Levi. The directions to the site were great and helped locate the spot perfectly. Unfortunately there were bad rain and thunder storms while we were there overnight so we didn't have an opportunity to explore much of the area - but the location is really cool. Hope to go back in some better weather - thanks again!

The facilities at the campsite are excellent. There are toilets and showers, and they are very comfortable. The hub area is amazing — it really feels like a luxury camping experience. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hub even more!

Abandoned school was a fun trip! Property was well maintained and dangerous areas safely gated off while still viewable! The property is decently lit at night and the porter potty was cleaned very well!

The Nason Trust

The Nason Trust is a 4th generation owned outdoor enthusiasts haven tucked away on private land in the outskirts of the Allegheny National Forest. We offer primitive camping along with equestrian primitive camping. We have a dedication to preserving natural habitat, as well as the cooperative efforts of people with diverse interests in the outdoors to provide a positive recreational experience for all of our visitors. The Nason Trust is located by a significant amount of trail systems that traverses gorgeous, rocky, stream-filled trails that pass by remnants of Kellettville's boomtown. While guests get to enjoy the geology, elevation changes, with dramatic views while enjoying their favorite outdoor activities. Campers will have access to the North Country National Scenic Trail that is the longest in the national trail system it spans across 8 states from North Dakota to Vermont covering 4,800 miles. Minister Creek Trail is a short drive away. It's a moderately challenging hike that passes several outstanding rock outcroppings. After your hike you can drop by frog rock the local's favorite swimming hole that's along the same short drive back from Minister Creek trail back to the Nason Trust. Tionesta Creek and Salmon Creek are well stocked to lure in any avid fishermen. Along with another local gem; Ross Run's Habitat Improvement area it's a half mile set aside for Children 15 and under and people with Special needs giving them their very own special stocked fishing area.

Nearby activities include horseback, riding, wine tasting, breweries, Chautauqua Institution, Amish markets, rural bike riding, hiking along the Chautauqua gorge. Limited man-made light perfect for stargazing. Serenade by farm animals nearby with plenty of deer, crickets and silence except for the Fourth of July. Bear, Deer, coyote, song birds, bunnies abundant. NO AGGRESSIVE DOG BREADS that will chase or hunt the wildlife. Rustic picnic table on site. NO FIREWORKS. Firewood can be picked up in town or forged on the property. No cutting down or damaging trees. This is a quiet area not for any loud noises or partying. One night fee charge if garbage is left behind (that includes cigarette butts). Port-a-potty for extended stays (30 days) extra charge for the cost of the port-a-potty (NEED TO CALL AHEAD TO RESERVE AND ALLOW FOR DELIVERY). Sorry about all the rules but, you never know. Back acres provide plenty of hiking and a secret beaver dam. The driveway newly installed 2022 and directly off the road. Will need levelers because there is a mild incline. LEAVE NO TRACE. We are adjacent to the Kennerdell Tract Of Clear Creek State Forest which has miles of hiking and biking trails as well as the Allegheny River which provides fishing, boating, kayak/ canoeing opportunities. There is also The Allegheny River Trail which provides miles of paved bike trails. What we offer: We are not a campground and do not offer multi-night stays We are vandwellers when we are traveling. As such we understand the problems associated with finding a spot to overnight. We offer just that, a safe, quiet stop over for the night. That being said, if you need an extra day feel free to ask, we often say yes. We enjoy our quiet country life and request limited use of generators, Thank You
