The toilet is not available in winter due to freezing temps. We keep it open through October and generally close it sometime in November. It's pretty dark here. There are no large cities anywhere around here. My family moved here in 1957 and I purchased it from my father in 1975. Founded in 1955 as a campground, amusement park and pay to fish lake, lake lucy has a rich history of having families spending time together. After the death of lake lucys founder Raymond Mealy in 2007 the amusements and train were all removed as well as the zoo. The Steinman family purchased the property in 2017 and began remodeling the pavilion and putting in water and sewer lines to be able to use the campground and pavilion again. It has been a place for the Steinman and Mealy families and friends to enjoy for the last few years and we felt it was time to once again welcome the public to enjoy our property! We currently have 11 sites with full hookups (water, sewer, electric(50/30/20amp). The campground water will be turned off November 10th due to freezing temperatures. We will still have electric and sewage hookups available. Learn more about this land: Campers can fish, bike, swim at lake lucy. They will have access to both ponds. Top pond has bass and have caught bass over 20 inches with the largest being 23 inches and over 8 pounds. Both ponds have bass, crappie, perch, bluegill, and carp. We are within a few miles of a dollar store if any supplies are needed, a gas station is at the end of the road and we are only a few minutes from cook forest as well as the tionesta reservoir. Water is available on site for campers and campers can use the bath house. In the bath house there is 1 full bathroom with a shower and the other bathroom is just a half bath. Quiet and peaceful, come relax and enjoy time with your family at lake Lucy! we are also conveniently located close to the bike trail near clarion as well as the bike trails in cook forest and oil creek state park. Our herd may be available for horseback riding on the back roads of Penn's woods, but please let us know ahead of time if you want to trail ride. I'm sorry, but we cannot accommodate your personal horses at this time. The farm is within walking distance of hiking and cross-country ski trails that meander through the Erie National Wildlife Refuge. Also, Crawford County's best kept secret for Perch, Walleye and Blue Gill fishing (including ice fishing) is a mile away at Sugar Lake. If you come for the hunting, (in season) let us know in advance and we will help you secure the proper permits and learn the rules of the refuge. Speaking of the wildlife, come armed with your binoculars and a good camera. Common sightings include high and low-flying Bald Eagles and other birds of prey, as well as many varieties of colorful, native song birds. You may also encounter other woodland creatures, such as, White-Tail Deer, Black Bears, Coyotes, and of course, smaller furry critters, like raccoons, fox, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, beavers, ground hogs and opossum. Be sure to steer clear of the skunks and the porcupines, though! We can't wait to share this little slice of heaven on earth with you at Too Far Out Farm!

Nestled in Pennsylvania Dutch country, between a large dairy farm and the Erie National Wildlife Refuge, Too Far Out Farm is favored for its natural beauty and tranquility. Residents of TFO Farm include horses, sheep, and various other friendlies of the canine and feline varieties. You could set your watch by the evening visits of our neighbors: A herd of very social dairy cows, who always seem to mosey on down right around supper time every evening. The primitive campsite will accommodate tents or a small RV. Don't worry about nosey or annoying camp neighbors, because we only book one group at a time - YOURS! The campsite includes a large fire ring, a limited amount of cut and stacked wood, a composting toilet and a small camp table. There is room for a smaller rig if you want to bring your RV or ATV. ATV or horse trail riding delights many a visitor all four seasons of the year around here. Our herd may be available for horseback riding on the back roads of Penn's woods, but please let us know ahead of time if you want to trail ride. I'm sorry, but we cannot accommodate your personal horses at this time. The farm is within walking distance of hiking and cross-country ski trails that meander through the Erie National Wildlife Refuge. Also, Crawford County's best kept secret for Perch, Walleye and Blue Gill fishing (including ice fishing) is a mile away at Sugar Lake. If you come for the hunting, (in season) let us know in advance and we will help you secure the proper permits and learn the rules of the refuge. Speaking of the wildlife, come armed with your binoculars and a good camera. Common sightings include high and low-flying Bald Eagles and other birds of prey, as well as many varieties of colorful, native song birds. You may also encounter other woodland creatures, such as, White-Tail Deer, Black Bears, Coyotes, and of course, smaller furry critters, like raccoons, fox, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, beavers, ground hogs and opossum. Be sure to steer clear of the skunks and the porcupines, though! We can't wait to share this little slice of heaven on earth with you at Too Far Out Farm!

We cant express how stunning this property is. The pictures simply don't do it any justice. Barry and his son were wonderful hosts during our stay. They provided plenty of fire wood and water. The bed was comfortable and the tent was cozy. They did offer a heater in case we were too cold at night but we were just fine. Waking up to the sounds of nature and the creek were incredible. Saw my first bald eagle in real life! We couldn't be happier. This site has now become a tradition for us. Cant wait to visit again

Weekend Trip to Steelhead Run Recreation Area

It was a great site. East site. Both are great. They face each other but they like 40 feet away. Full hookup is always nice. It was a minute walk to Lake Erie. It’s really rocky so I suggest shoes. The sunset was beautiful. Sun rises through the trees on the other side. There is a well groomed walking path along the Chautauqua River on the other side of our site. It meets with the lake. Walked the beach back to our access area. One home, close by, made a cool rock castle. Very pretty. It was quiet and secluded. But town is only a couple miles from here. There are plenty of eateries. We went to the farmers market in Moore park to get corn and tomatoes. Also cool artisans there. Especially the wood carving. They had baked goods. Mostly fried food. You can hear the train. It must go fairly fast because they blow the horn. Super close to I 90. So very convenient. You do need a self contained rig. No public restroom/ shower. Will definitely be going back. We really enjoyed our stay.

My dog and I had an amazing time camping on Barry’s land! We had everything we needed and Barry was thoughtful enough to bring us some spring water, which saved me from having to get in my car to restock! They also supplied us with plenty of dry wood for our campfire. The views were breathtaking! We had so much fun exploring the property and hiking through Elk Creek. We will definitely be back!

We camped at the aspen overlook with our kids, dogs and our pop up camper. The property was amazing and very secluded on a high ridge overlooking the woods and pond. There were lots of hiking trails throughout the land as well. The ponds and creeks were very pretty. We brought wood but not enough, we were thankful that some was provided. The grounds are very well kept and the porta potty was very clean.

Weekend Trip to Lake Erie Cabins

We had an excellent stay in the Hosta Cabin, it was cozy and gorgeous, and so was the whole property. The direct access to Lake Erie was so special. Rosemary was kind, personable and helpful, and provided so many great spots to watch the sunset over the lake, and the stars when the sun went down! Although we didn’t end up building a fire, having the pit there was a huge plus. Being only about 50 minutes from the eternal flame falls was the cherry on top for our little getaway. Thank you for helping make our trip to NY special and memorable!!
