This wooded getaway offers privacy and a bit of room to stretch out with family, friends and pets. Located just off of HWY 38, only minutes to Reedsport and the 'Gateway to the Oregon Dunes'. This almost 7 acre parcel encompasses a beautiful valley of coastal wetlands where you will enjoy approximately 1 acre of leveled camping space with two 30 amp hookups and potable water on site. In addition, we provide 4 comfortable Adirondack chairs, a picnic table and a fire pit. You are also just minutes to the very convenient Town of Reedsport dumping station at the corner of HWYs 38 and 101. You will find anything you might need in town, from groceries to fishing and crabbing equipment. Truly one of the most beautiful areas of the Oregon coast, activities in the region abound. Crabbing and fishing are centralized in Winchester Bay, about 10 minutes away. You are also located very near the mouth of the mighty Umpqua River, one of the best salmon fisheries in the state. Easy access to the coastal dunes is available up and down HWY 101 both North and South. Winchester Bay offers the closest entrance to the dunes where you can ride atvs and 4x4s and permits can be purchased in town. Stunning options for hiking, biking and mushroom hunting surround you here on the central Oregon Coast. With rainforest on one side of HWY 101 and coastal dunes on the other, there are many opportunities to explore different types of forested areas and trails. Wildlife enthusiasts are just minutes away from the Dean Creek Elk Viewing wildlife recreational area on HWY 38. This large herd can be seen daily grazing in the meadows.

Our piece of heaven… We have 200 acres of timber cozied up to Siltcoos Lake. Siltcoos Lake is approximately 3500 acres and warm enough to swim in! Your campsite is 10 private acres surrounded by the rest of our 200 acres. You are welcome to hike, bike, forage, and enjoy the whole 200 acre forest. Your 10 acre campsite is private for you and your guests. So let your pets off the leash, laugh, play music, have fun! Your site comes with a propane bbq grill(bring your own propane or rent a bottle from us), fire pit, patio set, table and chairs. There is plenty of flat, open area to maneuver several RVs and place tents. It is open and grassy. Our driveway is long and takes you to peaceful privacy. Our driveway is part gravel and partly dirt that we grade and trim as needed. You can place your kayaks and small boats into the lake at our property. There are 2 other ramps for larger boats elsewhere. RVs, tents, boats, bicycles, horses and pets welcome. There are many unimproved roads to access our creeks, springs, ponds and lake or enjoy the deer paths. Our property has elderberry, blackberry, huckleberry, mulberry, thimbleberry, salmonberry, currants… mushrooms, many wild edible plants and wild life! Siltcoos Lake has 2 boat ramps, 1 restaurant, 1 bar, 1 store, and boat rentals. The restaurant/bar/store (Darlings) will deliver, by boat, to your campsite for $10 !!! $20 minimum as of 2022. Or drive/boat over to Darlings for their well known friendly atmosphere and great food served inside or on their heated deck! Sorry no ATV use on property at this time. We love that place. So beautiful and peaceful. My dog thinks it the greatest thing sense peanut butter! He gets to be off leash, swim all he wants and love rolling and digging in the sand. We plan to come back every year.

This is where you will be. We have upgrade to a free standing gas BBQ, a new patio set with cushions, and hammocks.

This was probably our favorite Hipcamp spot of over a dozen we've stayed at in several states. Convenient to Florence and the dunes (10-15 mins), with a long dirt road down to the spot, but our 2WD van handled it fine. Extremely private, perfect for letting our dog explore and swim off-leash without worries, tons of space to relax and explore (including miles of trails through the forest), and great amenities included (incredible fire pit area, small kayak, portapotty and more). Certainly worth the price, and can't wait to come back! In a completely separate class from the vast majority of hipcamps.

What a magical place. Right on the lake. The Hosts were so kind and offered me the opportunity to arrive early when I was evacuated when the Oregon Coast had a tsunami warning. We kayaked, we swam, we cooked, we cheered, we played games. Beautiful fire ring, Stars, bats, bull frogs. We will be back next year!

This space has been unmatched in all our research for a place to camp with our large family. Secluded, peaceful, relaxing and oh so beautiful. Right alongside one of the calmest shores on the whole lake! Your own private water access and tons of space for all our tents and vehicles, canopies and the like... and we only used the "lower level." The host graciously provided us with additional firewood which is wonderful for the chilly eves under the stars. If you love just being in nature... and can survive without the fancy amenities then this is the spot! You will even be sung to sleep every night by the chorus of bullfrogs and awaken to the sound of birds singing!

Because my husband and I love the peace and tranquility of just being in our own space on the water, we did a separate booking just for the two of us several days before the rest of the family arrived! This is our second time visiting this spot and we enjoyed it as much as the first time. The lake is beautiful… our dogs were able to swim and there are trails to explore all right from the campsite. We used the Onx backcountry app to help us stay within the property boundaries. The host is very accommodating and we appreciated the early check-in add on option.

We were met by Janellen and Allen who showed us the way down the long, slow dirt driveway. At the end of the drive is a completely private huge grassy area right on the lake. The hardest decision we had to make is where to park the trailer, so many choices! We put the boat in at Darlings resort and brought it to the spot for the weekend. We enjoyed boating, kayaking, fires and the brightest moon. We will definitely be back!

This is a gem of a site! We could have stayed so much longer than we booked. The lake is warm and beautiful, kayaking was the ultimate. The fire pit area is very well structured.
