Tiny house with stunning mountain views located on a farm animal sanctuary, Harmony Farm Sanctuary. You will wake up in the morning to the sound of roosters crowing and our crew of friendly animal residents. It can be noisy at times but we find it delightful! The tiny house has huge, direct views of the Three Sisters mountains and Broken Top and plenty of outdoor sitting space to enjoy it and a little propane fire pit to enjoy the sunsets. The tiny house offers an amazing "glamping" experience and a unique opportunity to learn more about what we do at our animal sanctuary and even take a tour!
The Space: Our hand made tiny house offers a double sized mattress (bedding included) in the upstairs area (access via an attached ladder). Room for an additional person across from double bed also in upstairs area or put provided mat on the floor. Please note: the space is small for 3 people and better serves 2.
The Kitchen: Tiny house kitchen area has a small refrigerator, small counter space for meal prep, a tea kettle for hot water, water jug for fresh water, french press coffee pot and coffee/tea, hot plate for cooking, popcorn maker and popcorn, pots and pans, silverware, napkins, bottle openers, etc. We now have a new small outdoor kitchen with a two burner propane stove and an outside fish washing station.
The Facilities: The tiny house offers a composting toilet for night time pee pee needs and offers a port-a-potty for all other uses please! If you want to know a secret river dipping spot or where to go to find a sauna I’m happy to share!
Outdoor Shower: We have a lovely little “instant hot” shower for use on non freezing days.
The Location: We are conveniently located between beautiful Bend, Oregon and Sisters, Oregon. We have hiking and biking trails within .3 of a mile! We also have books to recommend 100's of other hiking, biking, nordic skiing and alpine skiing nearby! And, since we are outdoor enthusiasts ourselves, we are happy to recommend places to ski, hike, mountain bike, float or paddle!

TOM'S REST was created by Tom's wife Cheryl in an effort to carry out their plans to provide respite for those in need. Tom Edwards worked tirelessly for years to clear this wild recreation space where he planned to live while helping others. Tom suddenly and unexpectedly passed February 2, 2015 while in the process of making his move to Sisters with his High School sweetheart of 45 years. Cheryl continued his passion and their dream to make this a place for those in need as a way to honor the most giving man she ever knew. This process has brought some healing and it is our hope to continue that healing for others in need from life's many trials.
Anyone having a grief, widows/widowers, caregiver, cancer, hospice or other group that would like to have their group listed should message us as well. These respite visits are short getaways to refuel and support individuals during tough times.
Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will hopefully gain some needed respite. Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired.
My deepest thanks to all who have stood alongside through this journey and continue to do so. May we collectively create TOM'S REST with Tom's intention and the passion he infused in us to carry it through to fulfillment.

We have a Yurt, a cabin, 3 RV/Travel trailer pads and 2 tent sites created here and plenty of room for everyone to have their own space yet be all together. You can book the entire campground, or just one of the units. Whether it's just you, or you're bringing a crew, we know you'll love it here!
Our favorite hikes in the Central Oregon area is Smith Rocks and Chimney Rock. The Prineville reservoir is roughly a 12 minute drive and the starry nights here are something to behold.
Up the road is the most unique petting zoo that we recently found! Find it and you might just be able to hold a baby kangaroo!
Boondocking site means there is no hook-ups or running water so you'll want to bring in your own water and heat if you're here in the colder months.
Your four legged furry family members are welcomed! They must be accompanied at all times and not left on the property alone. The dog run is for you to keep closer tabs on them while relaxing, not for leaving them while going into town or enjoying the area. The dirt is very soft and it wouldn't take very long for them to dig under to get out and go looking for you. The cabin or yurt is also not a pet storage area - with no power or AC, pets are not allowed to be left alone in the dwellings.

Our house is located in Wood River Village. It is the beginning of where the Deschutes River bends as it comes into the town of Bend. One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. We just stayed one night so didn’t ’use’ the site much. But it was everything we needed to just pull in after dark, pop up our camper, have a nice peaceful sleep. Sat outside in our chairs with our small dog for our morning coffee, then got the road again. Easy to find if you’re coming from Hwy 20. Nice flat and clear parking area. Quiet restful night.

My dog, Panzer, and I had a great stay here! We had originally booked site 4, but due to a no-show Cheryl said we could set-up in site 5, which gave us a ton of room to spread out that I didn't expect. It can be dusty, but I'm used to that in Central Oregon - having the gravel road cuts down on the dust quite a bit too (personally, I packed up my tent in the gravel). I was surprised by the complete lack of bugs, which was a great highlight. And I loved how close the restroom was - even being in the furthest camping spot, it's maybe a 2-minute walk. Once we got the lay of the land, the best part was being able to let Panzer run off-leash - he had a grand ol' time traversing the terrain. It was nice that Cheryl kept checking in on us as well - very personable and a great conversationalist.

Weekend Trip to Harmony Farm Sanctuary
Staying at the Tiny House on the Farm Sanctuary was one of the most unique and heartwarming experiences I’ve ever had. Every detail in the house felt intentional and personal—cozy, charming, and full of character. You can feel the love that Robine has put into creating this space. Waking up surrounded by nature and animals was something truly special. Everything was clean, inviting, and just perfect for a grounding weekend escape. I left feeling restored and inspired. This cleverly designed tiny house was a treat. How fun to sleep in the loft! Cannot believe the STARS out here. Fun to have the animals nearby. The best quiet sleep and gorgeous views of the mountains in the morning. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay right down to the gorgeous orange cat who came in the evening to greet me and walked me out to say goodbye in the morning. So sad I didn’t have time for a farm tour. Next visit!

Cheryl is a very friendly host and so easy to work with! We happened to be the only campers there when we stayed (I think a recent fire scared people away), and it was fantastic to have a real bathroom all to ourselves!
In fact, since we were the only campers, Cheryl suggested we switch to site 5 which is bigger and has more shade. We really appreciated that!
Our biggest complaint is no fault of Cheryl's; the land is just really dusty, and all of us and all of our stuff was very dirty. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

Weekend Trip to Harmony Farm Sanctuary
Our stay at Robine’s farm was truly magical. The tiny house was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable night. What made the experience so special was the chance to share it with our baby — seeing the animals up close was unforgettable and brought so much joy to him (and to us!).
Robine herself is an incredible host. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and safe, even while dealing with the challenges of the nearby fire. Her kindness, hospitality, and dedication to caring for the animals really stood out to us.
We left with wonderful memories and hope to come back again in the future. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, unique, and heartwarming experience. 🌿✨

Cheryl is amazing! Not only does she have the most incredible story about how this place came to be, but she was thoughtful and caring. My mom, me, and my dog came through just as the fire near Sisters started. She called us to warn us and since we were originally going to tent camp, she offered us the gathering room to sleep in to stay out of the smoke. Her property is absolutely stunning. Wish we had more time on her property and with her and her sweet dog.

We had a last minute trip to Bend come up. Hotels were booked and I thought, why not roll the RV and try HipCamp. We ended up in a centrally located spot in a quiet part of town that is walking distance to Old Mill and the Amphitheater. The spot was lovely with power so we could run the AC. It was very hot that weekend. This will be a go to spot in the future. Thanks Joel!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Cheryl's Hipcamp. Cheryl greeted us shortly after our arrival. The sites were as described, with a close walk to the facilities. It was a lovely spot to rest our heads after a day on the trail at Smith Rock and watching our son play disc golf in Sisters.
Such a convenient location, close to Sisters, Redmond, Bend, and Smith Rock, makes this location attractive for those that love to play on the east side of the Cascades in Central Oregon. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend Cheryl's land.

We had a fantastic stay in Bend! Joel is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The site itself is great — well-kept and in a perfect location, close to anything you might need.
We had a small mechanical issue with our truck during the trip, and Joel went above and beyond by lending us a tool to help get it fixed. Such a nice guy!
Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable, and friendly place to camp.
