Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options. Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park. The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. Other features include a fire pit, wood fired sauna, and creek access for cold dips. Internet is available in the cabin. There is a Level 1 vehicle charger available for guests. The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards. The barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. We had a wonderful time staying at this special spot for a friends getaway. Our host was extremely helpful and responsive. The cabin is so well thought-out, and it's lovely to see the creativity and time that has gone into this property. It's so nice to be able to walk right out the door and hike their private trails, listen to the creek, and relax. We arrived right after fire restrictions were lifted, so we were able to use the outdoor fire pit and look at the stars. We also used the sauna every day we were there. It has an electric sauna heater and a small woodstove, so you can choose your heat source, and the short little path down to the cold dip in the creek is genius. Some folks in reviews have mentioned the composting toilets--as some of our group lives entirely off-grid, we were actually taking pictures of their setup because it's really well designed. Just think of all the water you're saving in the world. The property itself is well cared for, and their little dog is such a cutie. We would definitely stay here again!

Their property was so beautiful and peaceful. Our family had an amazing time! They had an incredible cabin, camp kitchen had everything you could think of. The bathroom was so cute and wonderful to have. So much space for all our kids and dogs to run around. The showers were so fun and we enjoyed every night sitting around the fire pit that was available. Jay has really thought of everything, he was so kind and hospitable. We loved staying at the Alsea family farms creek cabin! Where to begin?! The hosts were so kind and left us veggies and fresh strawberries picked from their garden on the property. Also a fresh vase of flowers sat on the kitchen table when we arrived which was so thoughtful. The cabin has a private hiking trail that was so peaceful and lovely. The streams and small series of bridges behind the cabin was charming and peaceful. I sat on the bigger footbridge for breakfast one morning taking in the surroundings. Small and all children not connected to devices especially would love to explore around near the creek and look and listen for critters. For the space itself was beautiful clean with everything you need. Bedding was lovely to look at comfortable to sleep in and clean. One thing that might throw certain people off would be the composting toilet. The management team works hard maintaining the space and keeping it as clean and functional and good smelling as possible. But it is a composting toilet. I personally had no problem with it. I grew up camping so this was no big deal. Up in the loft my children said they felt like they were in a treehouse. We really enjoyed everything about this place and I would have stayed longer if I could. I look forward to coming back and have shared pictures and my experience with friends. Thank you again for the lovely stay!

More amazing than the amazing review. We loved the quiet environment. Perfect cabin. Extreme attention to details. Just bring pillow cases, towels, and some beddings + food. We did not miss anything. Confortable, clean, well appointed. Plenty of portable lights, and despite the lack of connectivity we had loaded our devices with movies and recharged them via portable power banks or car. Cute loo. My only mistake was to not download maps / AllTrails. Gps does not work and only ATT works in town. Owner was welcoming and shared his recommendations for hikes - we went to the lakes 45 mn drive away. Hard to imagine what could make this little paradise better. We will be back.,

Staying ath Winberry Walden was a dream come true. The remote location hearing on nature, the river in the backyard, and the wild life around was so wonderful. The hosts, James and Linda provide every comfort one would need inside their glamping studio, which is really a VERY cozy stay with a mini split, a kitchenette, and stylish bathroom that is wonderful to warm up in! The near by river with private swimming holes, hikes around the property were so much fun too. We will be retunring and cannot recommend this stunning get away for anyone looking for a nature retreat. Not to mention how close they are too from a really cool lake that was nearly empty in the middle of summer. This is such a hidden gem of a place! We cannot wait to see what James and Linda keep doing with this property and opening up more spaces to people to enjoy this beatiful location. My only complaint is that I had to go home. ;) Thank you, James and Lind!

This was such a tranquil spot for our family. The cabin had everything we needed, was super comfortable, with so many windows looking out into the beautiful woods. The camp hosts were thoughtful and friendly, responded quickly to messages, and welcomed us onto the whole property with its gardens and chickens. We took a relaxing stroll through the stunning woods and spent quiet afternoons playing games and reading. Perfect!
