Welcome to Squared Roots Farm, a Garlic Farm and homestead in Alsea, Oregon. We specialize in gourmet hardneck garlic and sustainable farming practices. You will be staying in a 16ft Pacific yurt built on raised deck that has a covered deck for shade and rainy days. There is plenty of space for additional tents and RV campers to join! You can swim in the creek right next to the site or walk over to the North Fork of the Alsea River where there is 1/2 mile of river access and great winter steelhead fishing too. Close to the farm is world class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, waterfalls, great views, and surfing on the Oregon coast. The camp spot is a very private grassy nook nestled next to Honey Grove Creek. There are nature trails on the property with blackberry bushes. We offer farm fresh eggs, firewood bundles, and as the garden begins to ramp up- we will offer all the veggies to campers including goat cheese! We can do cash or Venmo payments. Chris and Beth met and started dating in Indianapolis in 2009 where both were working on their graduate education. During their first date, Chris announced his goal of developing a vineyard and making wine. As the relationship evolved, Chris worked toward the goal by researching viticulture, attending classes and investigating potential vineyard sites. In summer of 2011, Chris and Beth got married and dove into the wine industry when they purchased a majestic 62 acre property in the foothills of the coastal mountain range in Yamhill County. The property had been an old timber farm that was in bad shape. In 2012, a portion of the property was cleared and planted and the adventure had just begun!The vineyard was planted in 2012, with additional blocks planted each year since. Was the perfect place to relax and get away. Felt very welcomed upon arrival and was just what we needed for a home away from home. Recommend adding breakfast to your stay if you can afford, food was delicious and had fun talking with other guests. We booked the luxury tent and it was not only cute but very comfy! All in all, had a great time and would love to do it again!

Fantastic! We booked last minute and arrived after dark. We had such a comfortable stay, and were in awe of the creek right behind us in the morning light. The bed is incredibly comfy, and we were perfectly comfortable. This place is moments from mine and my kid's favorite place to go catch crawdads. I would absolutely book again.

We loved spending the night in the vineyard! It was truly something very special with that nice view from the hill with the the clear stars in the sky and surrounded by the vineyard! It was easy to find even late at night thanks to good instructions by the host. They are very nice and we even bought one of their yummy wines from the tasting room - which is also amazing.

We truly loved where we stayed one night. We were welcomed as we parked at the guest parking lot, and toured all the amenities. There were pools and hot tubs though we didn’t use. I think a family with kids would love this place too. We stayed at the luxury tent which is very private and distant from the others. Bedding was wonderful! Clean and soft! We were able to have a good sleep the night. We loved the huge space in front of the tent where we played with our dog. One thing I should mention in addition to previous comments is we liked that we do not share the toilet with others. So clean and everything was set up so right and the best. This is the first place that I want to book again later!

We really enjoyed our time at Miranda’s farm. My daughter enjoyed the grapes, pools, and (plastic) ax throwing game. I enjoyed the little paths through the grass, a bench to enjoy sunset, and the relative isolation of our tent from the rest of the camping area. Our dog loved that she was allowed to roam and explore. A large field of dry grass (late Aug!) gave us lots of space for the dog and to lay around and watch sunset and the stars. There were all sorts of glamping perks, too! This place is super close to downtown Molalla, so it was easy to run out for ice and other supplies. The host is extremely kind and helpful, even giving me some insights into some off the grid living!

We had a wonderful stay in the Safari Tent with our two grandchildren aged 5 and 8. They loved the pool and the beautiful field to run around in. Sotero was welcoming and a delightful host. The place has lots of fun touches. We brought a camp stove and cooked for ourselves. The small refrigerator in the tent was very handy, as was the accessible warm water for clean up. Highly recommend.

Thank you so much for welcoming us to your property! It is truly a beautiful place, and we had such a peaceful overnight surrounded by acres of forest, rolling hills, and fields of grapes. Everything felt so clean, serene, and relaxing. We especially appreciated the off-leash policy for dogs—after a week of travel, our pup Fifi loved the freedom and had the best time exploring. We were treated to gorgeous morning views and left feeling refreshed and rested. We had some delays along our route and arrived after wine tasting hours, so unfortunately were not able to experience to the fullest, but we hope to come back! Thank you again!
