This place was lovely! We went so wee could go to the goldendale observatory to catch the meteor showers, and the stars out there are incredible. We also got some pastries at the Greek Orthodox Bakery which were delicious, and checked out the Stonehenge and the Maryhill art museum along with exploring more spots along the Columbia. There’s so much to see here! I love how they have set it up. When we stayed it was a hot weekend (105 degrees!) and so I’m so glad we stayed here instead of in a tent, the bed and the couch were comfortable, there was everything we needed inside and it cooled down enough at night with the windows open (yay for screens on the windows for bugs!) that we could all sleep! I’ve already recommended this beautiful spot to some family and friends.

This washout first Hipcamp experience. We decide to stay at this location on our way to Idaho to break up our drive. The location is easy to find and very quiet with the only sounds of coyotes at night. The owners dog was quick to greet us and played with our dog. He was so nice he played next to our trailer for most of the night and kept the coyotes up on the hill all night long. Jarrod was a great host and made sure to say hello to us after we arrived and to make sure everything was good and offer any help. He also stopped by in the morning to tell us goodbye. There is zero cell service at this location so if you need to contact Jarrod prior to arrival make sure you do so before you get near hos place. once connected to WIFI there everything was good to go. the water,power, and sewer hookup were good and reliable. if you are going to use the sewer you may want to make sure you bring an extra long hose or hook 2 together. All in all I would recommend this location to anyone and will stay here again in the future.

It was a wonderful stay close to Goldendale for the Oregonian Trail Rally. We were able to work our shifts and come back to peace and quiet after the noise and bustle of the rally. We only stayed for one night at the cabin and wish we could’ve done two. This is a rustic cabin and we were prepared for that. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, the gorgeous wildflowers and views, and the simple but comfortable accommodation. We had minor issues lighting the stove but followed instructions and the last reviewers notes and got it started. We didn’t shower, so can’t comment on that. The porta potty was very clean. We brought our camp lantern and mostly used that while we played games. Spring is a great time to visit and we’d definitely return.
