We are located in the heart of Antelope, a rural (near) Ghost town that is rich in history and culture. This particular property is currently being cleaned up and revitalized. We would like to open it up to dry camping, some cabins, and RV Space with partial hookups at this time as we are already seeing a huge influx of cyclists and motorcycles in the area and they have no place to camp. There is a bathhouse onsite as part of the Pavilion structure. Please do not park on grass, unless you are an RV Space with partial hookups that has made arrangements with park host. We live in a beautiful location! The main attraction are the outdoors. The large Ponderosa and Oak treed forest engulf the safari tent with the smell of what some say smells like vanilla. Birds are chirping, deer grazing and squirrels gathering. Sit on the porch and watch it all happen. It truly is relaxing! I want to mention the STARGAZING here is amazing! Just push the power button on the backside of the solar panel for the lights, and it will turn them off for a better view of the night sky. Please turn them back on, if you remember. Check out Goldendale Observatory. It boasts one of the largest public telescopes in the nation! It’s free. Guest access “Moonshine Hideaway “ is on private land of 20 wooded acres. Included are 5 other sites. You are able to walk around the acreage, but please be respectful of other sites. It’s fully fenced with the only way in and out is the front entrance at this time. Please don’t go on neighbors property. Everyone here has No Trespassing and they are serious! Thanks for understanding. Other things to note Fire ban is now lifted. We have wood here at seven dollars a bundle or you can bring your own. You’re also welcome to get wood from the forest here, it’s most likely going to be smoky though. If Moonshine Hideaway is booked for the nights that you’re wanting, check out Starlit Hideaway, which is very similar to Moonshine Hideaway being that it has a comfortable king bed and private spacious grounds.

During your stay, visit our seasonal farmstand that sits just outside the garden gate where a U-pick herb garden awaits. You will likely find us in our one-acre garden and we love to share our unique growing methods with interested guests. Our camp features our Dreaming Tree site, an open one-acre field that sits alongside a quiet county road with minimal traffic. Big White Oaks provide a shady outdoor retreat with a view of Mt. Hood. This site is large enough to also accommodate large groups up to 20 guests. There is a spring fed water spigot at the corral for washing up. While our family finds this spring water safe and refreshing to drink, keep in mind, its UN-filtered thus classified as non-potable water that needs to be purified before drinking. This site offers a unique experience where you can take a closer look at farm life by encountering cows, pigs, goats and free-range chickens. While guest are welcome to pet them, please refrain from feeding. There are many plants that are toxic to them. Don't forget to meet Petunia, our beloved free-range Kunekune pig. While shy at 1st and can SOUND intimidating, her affinity for belly rubs makes her favor easily earned. Beyond the farm, you'll find yourself perfectly situated just 1.5 miles east of Catherine Creek Rec. Area. This prime location caters to a wide range of interests, from hiking and mountain biking to hunting and rock climbing at Coyote Wall. Wine tasting at four neighborhood wineries (two within walking distance) is also a popular activity. The area teems with wildlife, including deer, wild turkey, songbirds and woodpeckers.

848 Outpost | Room to turn. Space to stay. 848 Outpost is a small, off-grid basecamp set across 38 acres of woods and open field, with just four sites. Two designed for vans and overland rigs (+tents), and two set up for tent camping. It’s a simple, low-key place to land, with space to breathe and none of the crowding of a traditional campground. Part of a larger 80-acre land group (including our family’s historic 28-acre farm), the property supports forestry management, wildlife habitat conservation, and low-impact recreation. The outpost backs onto forest service land, offering direct access to rugged, unmarked terrain for experienced hikers and explorers. There are no formal trails—just open access to largely untouched landscape. Location 15 minutes to White Salmon 30 minutes to Hood River ~1.5 hours to Portland Access The road is not suitable for large RVs or long trailers. We offer one very large dispersed camping site on the property with easy road access. The site is very secluded, flat, and private, but it is completely undeveloped. For those looking to explore on foot, there is a stunning hike to a nearby bird reserve that can be started right from the property. The trail follows a scenic ridge for several miles, providing constant views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, the Columbia River, and the surrounding cherry orchards. If you visit from mid-April to mid-May, you will find the property completely transformed, as it becomes covered in vibrant Balsamroot and a variety of other local wildflowers.

Beautiful campground with free dirt bikes to ride around! You are fairly close to other campers, however, so this is not for those looking for a super remote experience.
