another amazing stay at fruitdale farm! The fern cabin was super cozy, kept us warm and dry during some rainy weather. My boyfriend and I have loved our time staying at fruitdale over the years. You can feel the love that is put into this land 💛

We loved our stay at the Little Fern Cabin for a glamping getaway for our 16th Anniversary. The kitchen was great to prepare our own food and the porch offered a private spot to eat while listening to the birds. We loved exploring the property and would love to come back with our four kids at one of the tent camping sites in the future.

My daughter and I had a great weekend getaway together at Fruitdale Farm! Aimee is an excellent host and our stay was so peaceful. A much needed break from the chaos of life. We stayed at the fern cabin site and it was so nicely done! So excited to book again sometime soon!

Weekend Trip to Fruitdale Farm
This place was truly magical. I did not want to leave. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and spent the weekend snuggled in the woods at the Sugar Shack.
We enjoyed all of the trails connecting through the property, took advantage of the sauna, and took some homemade goodies home from the farm stand. I'd love to go back in the winter and enjoy the wood burning stove inside the shack. It wasn't quite warm enough for us to take advantage of it this trip.

We have never had a bad HipCamp experience, but Aimee’s farm far exceeded our expectations. Fruitdale Farms is an absolute gem of a retreat. It’s obvious that Aimee puts her heart and soul into this land. The Sugar Shack is such a charming place to unwind and reconnect with friends and nature. We can’t wait to return with our kiddos and friends to try out one of the beautiful campsites on the property. We will be back again and again. Thank you, Aimee!

The sugar shack is a gem tucked away in the woods with the most beautiful views. We had to opportunity to look at all the tiny houses Aimee has on her property and they all had there own unique charm. We will be back!

Sugar shack was well placed (next to a small creek with a mini waterfall... Wouldn't be surprised if the water flow is 14 gallons per minute for the waterfall)... There are trails to walk on, which is a positive.

Weekend Trip to Fruitdale Farm
Even with the best of lodging, I feel like there's always that one thing that could've made it better- "it was a wonderful cabin EXCEPT FOR..." But honestly, our time at Fruitdale Farms was perfect across the board.
The space is gorgeous with so many lovely little things to see (bee hives, inoculated mushrooms logs, trails, a nice little pond with koi). And the Little Fern Cabin was so very perfect and cute. We both thought the bed was amazingly comfortable and were charmed by all the care put into the decor. The gazebo kitchen was one of the best kitchen spaces we've used - so well-stocked with everything you could possibly need in the way of spices, utensils, cookware, etc - any time we thought of something we'd forgotten to bring, it was already there. We also loved that the kitchen was its own space in a revamped aviary.
There was easy access to firewood and some tomato and berry plants for sale. We loved our time at the sauna. The printouts they leave for guests detailing places nearby to visit were so helpful - we wouldn't have known about the floating bridge/beaver dam trail if not for that (since it's not officially open and they're still working on the adjacent trail), and it was phenomenal. We also enjoyed the visits of the charming farm-cat Tangie who spent time with us in the mornings and evenings and was the sweetest little love-bug.
Thank you again, Aimee, for all the love and care you put into your place. We very much look forward to coming again.

2 nights at Fruitdale Farm
this farm has been on my Hipcamp wishlist for a while now. finally, everything lined up to get to sneak away for a parts of three days to celebrate our nine year anniversary. off-grid and disconnected enough to have some peace, but just enough cell signal to handle life as needs arise.
everything is beautiful + well thought out. the other cabin and camp sites looked adorable. but I’m very grateful we got to experience sugar shack. it was nestled back in the woods with plenty of privacy. the trails are well marked. and everywhere you look are little pockets of love + intention from Aimee’s hands. you can tell how well she loves the land here.
the woods are rich with life. fungi, wildflowers, 17 year cicadas, her chickens, cats, and fish. the sauna was a real treat. the pond was fun to play in, some of the fish even let me pet them. I went to the sauna and alternated from sauna to shower, as it instructed, and felt a deep sense of peace. the walk back to the cabin was perfect.
the cabin itself has everything basic you’ll need for coziness and meals and lighting. it’s so charming. every aspect of life there became so dear, however brief.
if I have one singular thing that could be improved, it’s the shower attached to the host residence. my husband is horribly afraid of spiders. and the biggest wolf (?) spider stared him down in there preventing his time there to be as magical as mine. bugs and spiders are expected. but may be good to keep up on.

Aimee is a wonderful steward of her woods, land, gardens, pond, creatures, chicken and bees. She is approachable and very accommodating. Her property is beautiful, well cared for and well kept up. We absolutely loved our stay, our time was too short to explore the surrounding areas or to enjoy the sauna ~ we will be back! Thank you for sharing the beauty of your whimsical glamping houses and nature's beauty!

Weekend Trip to Fruitdale Farm
This was our second trip to Fruitdale farm and it was just as fun! Though it was the off season and very cold while we were there, we stayed warm in the Fern Cabin. We used the kitchen for dinner and breakfast and had a wonderful time outside. We used the sauna and shower twice to stay warm and they were both amazing and relaxing. The trails and bathroom were well maintained and easy to find. Previously we stayed in the fall and got to see the garden and chickens so we did miss those on our trip this winter. We can’t wait to go back this spring/summer!

Aimee’s land is so beautiful and peaceful. The Sugar Shack cabin was a perfect weekend getaway for my partner and I. The cabin has everything you could need, and we can’t wait to come back! I want to make a stay at the Sugar Shack a seasonal occurrence at the very least! Aimee is so inspirational in the way that she’s built a sustainable farmstead and we are looking to do the very same!

Came for a romantic Valentine's Day getaway and the sugar shack did not disappoint. The cabin is cozy, and the wood burning stove keeps it plenty warm, even in February! It was great to getaway from the hustle of living in downtown Cincinnati and disconnect for a weekend. The tiny town of Bainbridge is very quaint and offers traditional small town Ohio charm. If you stop in, I recommend the coffee shop at the theater and walking through the antique store (it's huge!) Excited to come back and stay in the summer and check out the nearby nature preserves!

Weekend Trip to Fruitdale Farm
I had a lovely solo winter escape at the sugar shack cabin. The cabin had everything I needed and was cozy and warm. Listening to the water running in the creek just outside while having coffee was so grounding. I loved hiking Barrett's rim trail and Kamelands trail, and afterward getting a warm pretzel sandwich from the Amish bakery. Highly recommend the sugar shack cabin for a solo or couple's getaway!

Above and beyond as usual! This was our second time at the farm but our first time staying at the Sugar Shack. We were pleasantly surprised at the accommodations and how much fit in such a lovely little cabin. Aimee started the fire for us so that it was warm upon arrival, and she was kind enough to let us roll over the sauna add-on from our last visit that we never got to use. The farm is truly magical, and my partner and I have made so many memories on the property. We cannot wait to visit again.
