This property was the original location of Todd’s Fork Bluegrass Festivals back in the 70’s and is directly on Todd’s Fork with 1/2 mile of River frontage. We reside within the Village of Morrow, walking distance to restaurants and stores. The little Miami Bike Trail is approximately 1/4 mile from our entrance. This property is tucked away and you wouldn’t even know you’re close to town once you’re on site. Valley Vineyards is right down the road to enjoy a bottle of wine and cook your own steak dinner nights. Take a trip to visit Fort Ancient with a day hike. A Native American earthworks complex, the largest hilltop enclosure in the world and soon to be a World Heritage site! Enjoy some canoeing on the Little Miami River a State and National scenic river which is within walking distance. We have kayaks on location for the kids to play in the creek and creeks to hike with numerous fossils deposits. Southwestern Ohio is famous for its Ordovician fossil deposits. Kings Island is approximately 20 minute drive and the Ohio renaissance Festival is near. Caesars creek state park in Cowan lake state park is within a short drive. Smallmouth Bass fishing is awesome on Todd’s Fork and we have plenty of area to Wade fish.

Madden Farm has been in the Madden family and its descendants for seven generations. The original farmhouse on Madden Farm dates back to the 1860s. In 1980, a second dwelling was added to the property when a cabin on a nearby farm was moved across the fields and placed near Madden Pond. In recent years, the family has endeavored to be good stewards of the land by planting trees, growing fruits and vegetables while incorporating sustainable practices. Also of interest, since 2014, family members from Madden Farm have hosted the Madden Road Music Fest, a one-day music festival held annually on the second Saturday in August. Our camping sites are secluded, offering a variety of shade and sunshine. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Connected to the sites, we have walking trails that meander through woods where you'll see a variety of trees and wildflowers. Our community area is centrally located with a fire pit, picnic tables, and an open area for group gatherings. The toilet and sink for hand washing are in this area. While at Madden Farm, you can relax under the trees in Sweet Gum Hammock Grove, witness spectacular sunsets and star-filled night skies like no other, and enjoy the beauty and serenity of Ohio farmland. If you enjoy fishing, bring your pole and gear to fish (catch and release) from the banks of Madden Pond. This was a great spot to camp! The views of the night sky were awesome and surroundings were peaceful and snow covered. The firewood was priced well and good sized which helped during the cold. The communication and directions were clear, and the price for being as close to the city while still being an escape is a bargain. I will definitely be camping here again in the future!

Very private. The night sky was awesome. The location was super convenient to Fort Hill and Serpent Mound. The host was easy to reach and very friendly. I’ll be back in spring and visit some of the other State Parks around the area.

Weekend Trip to Todd’s Fork Adventures

The land is very private, we were able to access the property with ease. The camp sites were distanced very nicely as we didn’t really hear or see anyone else. Access to the creek was easy, the creek water was very clear in nature. We did some fishing and caught 4 large mouth bass and a species I never dealt with before. After few forums the fish was skipjack herring know. As poor mans Tarpon. You can hear the coyotes late at night hunting animals. We didn’t encounter any wildlife like deer, or raccoons. The owner greeted us very next day. I would def come back during the summer time and do some fishing. Camp site 3 was excellent cause we like being away from people and being on our own. The location took me by surprise. The owner gave us a tip on hot tent camping, I had a stove was too close to the ground. He recommended some stone or concrete blocks. We went to Home Depot and got some cheap stone stepping stones and fixed our problem with the stove.

Sweet Glum Glade is a great, secluded spot in the woods, but also close enough to a bathroom and hand washing sink - which is ideal when your kids get covered in s’mores! We watched the sunset over the field across from our camp and slept outside underneath the stars. Highly recommended!

Madden Farm is a peaceful slice of Heaven on Earth. It’s full of charm and whimsy. Large sites surrounded by mature trees. Cute, rustic sink next to the toilet to wash your hands. Forgot a mug? No problem, grab one from the mug tree! Would highly recommend this private peaceful property.

The land is beautiful. The cabin sits on the host's property but is secluded. Love the little fire pit space tucked away. The cabin is well build and was perfect for what we needed! I did think there were cushions on the cots based on photo 6 by the host, but there is not. While decently comfortable without them, but they are squeeeeeky cots. Would recommend putting down a mattress and skipping the cots if you're a light sleeper like me. The little terracotta heater was a nice touch. Definitely puts out some heat for as simple as it is! It got down to 40d toward the morning and even with a 25d sleeping bag, it was chilly enough to need the little bit of heat so we were thankful for that! Would definitely stay again. Such a cute little cabin. I'm not a fishing gal, but the lake was super cute.

This was an amazing camping experience! the sites are very private and spacious. the hosts were kind and have taken time to make sure you have a comfortable stay. The land is beautiful, the creek is accessible and lovely. This was our first stay and we will be back! There are a couple nice restaurants near by (we ate at Fresh to Morrow) and an awesome bike path we will check out next time. We picked up records at a near by record store in an old elementary school building and enjoyed beers and a taco truck at the brewery 3 minutes away. We can’t wait to return and bring friends! Thank you to Fred and Glenn! You are doing this right and we are grateful! Jack and Aubrey (and our Escape 5.0)

When a rainy night was in the forecast during a camping road trip the Hideaway ended up being the perfect spot. I was saved from having soggy equipment and instead got to listen to the rain hitting the metal roof. The large windows are a plus in this cozy little accommodation surrounded by beautiful woods.

Our campsite at Madden Farm was very well kept, quiet and beautiful. Our two young kids really loved looking at the chickens and playing with the dogs and kitten. We really enjoyed sitting at our campfire and listening to nothing but crickets. We plan to come back. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!

I was searching for a site relatively close to Cincinnati that had dark sky opportunities and was private/peaceful. This site was perfect on all! Great communication / directions. Highly recommended, get the firewood as well. They were a good size and dry!
