Weekend Trip to Goat Farm Hide-Away CVNP

We returned for the 3rd time to camp at Allison's Gaga for Goats property. It's such a nice place to visit! The goats and other animals are so much fun to pet and are so friendly. The property is very comfortable and in a nice location for exploring the area.

2 nights at Goat Farm Hide-Away CVNP

Allison’s farm was one of the funnest places I have camped so far. We woke up to the sound of baby goats playing which just made us giggle with delight and set a happy tone for the day. The goats, chickens, ducks and turkey were introduced to us by name. The farm was clean and tidy as were the bathroom facilities. Allison even went above and beyond to loan us a few bowls when we realized we had forgotten our mess kits. She is a true gem! 10 out of 10 we recommend GaGa for Goats farm as a camping destination. Next time Im bringing my daughter and grandson. Oh, and it was an easy 8 minute drive to the Cuyahoga National Park visitor center too. Location was great and easy to find.

Excellent location and beautiful property for boondocking. Close to Cuyahogo National Park, Canton, Akron and all the quaint townships you go through while going to your adventures. The hosts responded to my messages and were helpful and very nice.

We had great time and a great camp. Krista was very responsive and friendly on every level. We did a hot tent camp in the snow and we didn't get to enjoy all they have to offer, but we still had a great time by the water. We definitely would like to visit again.

3 nights at CHERRY VALLEY CHILL

I can't say enough about Troy, his family, and this modded style cabin which I was amazed on the hardwork and craftsmanship. They gave me the 5 star treatment.Your in the country side surrounded by endless acres of farm land and trees. Wood was supplied which is nice and if you need more you can always purchase more from Troy. I plan to come back in much warmer conditions so I can take advantage of those opening outter walls!

3 nights at Barrel Run Creek

Went there for Thanksgiving stayed on site BRX01 and of course I was the only idiot camping this time of year. Even though it was cold Nick provided plenty wood on the site and all through out if you need more. Each site has plenty of room makes you feel like your in your own piece of property. Would comeback under warmer conditions.

Weekend Trip to Sweet Hill

Jason and his wife were great hosts. Notified us prior to arrival to let us know where to park. Lots of flat level space with a beautiful setting of a pond. Very private too. Nice fire pit area although we did not utilize it. Great location with lots to keep you busy. They gave us great recommendations of where to go and grab a bite to eat while we were there. We only stayed one night however, if we were in that area in the future we would not hesitate to stay again!

We had a great night by the pond in our tent! Marcie encouraged us to start a fire too and we enjoyed their great fire pit and comfy chairs. Great spot to visit Cuyahoga from!

I loved camping out here! The goats and chickens are super cute and it’s definitely a worthwhile stay if you like animals and camping :)

Camping at our farm you will enjoy extremely private wooded sites surrounding our vineyards. The property is cut by Barrel Run Creek and flanked by the NSF railroad (hence our theme and name). The sites comes stocked with firewood, trash can and picnic table. Located behind the main vineyard of Barrel Run Winery, you are a short walk to the bathroom we leave unlocked for campers if you choose. We have closed the winery but the campsites remain. So close to I90 our property touches it, don't worry there is a fence at that outer tree line you can see the highway in some areas or edges and car show days are great times to look. You will hear all the noises Ashtabula county has to offer. Including but not limited to the highway, Benetka Rd Covered Bridge is part of the driving trail, there is a cool off road park down that way has events as well vroomvroom, AND we have roosters, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, rabbits, who knows what that noise was? If you are looking to only hear nature this is not the homestead to choose. Not far from all of the amazing Ashtabula attractions. Super close to harbor and cute small towns, wineries, fun local shops, and Lake Erie beaches. Short drive to Erie PA not far from NY boarder. Lots of online delivery to us options. Outhouse available but no electricity and no bath house yet. Ask about sapling adoption!!! Please ask us anything and everything tell us if you know something we love to learn and we are still learning about this wonderful piece of earth we are trying to survive on.
