Booked a night here pretty spur of the moment and it’s not really camping season yet so I was surprised to see firewood stocked. We had a kid with us that was new to camping so this was a great first trip for him. The kids explored and the parents relaxed. This is close to my office so I’ll be adding it to my favorite.

Had a amazing getaway for a few days! Cabin is awesome and it was great to unplug and leave worries at home. Hike directly downhill from the cabin led to a small waterfall and the Grand River. Stars at night framed by the trees were gorgeous. Highly recommended and look forward to returning!

We returned for the 3rd time to camp at Allison's Gaga for Goats property. It's such a nice place to visit! The goats and other animals are so much fun to pet and are so friendly. The property is very comfortable and in a nice location for exploring the area.

Allison’s farm was one of the funnest places I have camped so far. We woke up to the sound of baby goats playing which just made us giggle with delight and set a happy tone for the day. The goats, chickens, ducks and turkey were introduced to us by name. The farm was clean and tidy as were the bathroom facilities. Allison even went above and beyond to loan us a few bowls when we realized we had forgotten our mess kits. She is a true gem! 10 out of 10 we recommend GaGa for Goats farm as a camping destination. Next time Im bringing my daughter and grandson. Oh, and it was an easy 8 minute drive to the Cuyahoga National Park visitor center too. Location was great and easy to find.

Went there for Thanksgiving stayed on site BRX01 and of course I was the only idiot camping this time of year. Even though it was cold Nick provided plenty wood on the site and all through out if you need more. Each site has plenty of room makes you feel like your in your own piece of property. Would comeback under warmer conditions.

Jason and his wife were great hosts. Notified us prior to arrival to let us know where to park. Lots of flat level space with a beautiful setting of a pond. Very private too. Nice fire pit area although we did not utilize it. Great location with lots to keep you busy. They gave us great recommendations of where to go and grab a bite to eat while we were there. We only stayed one night however, if we were in that area in the future we would not hesitate to stay again!

We are a small goat farm located within minutes of Blossom Music Center, Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Sarah’s Vineyard. There are many activities nearby such as hiking trails, bike paths, metro parks, fishing, kayaking, river floating, swimming and even train rides. Our farm allows for hands-on contact with our animals, along with many other activities for younger kids to enjoy during their stay. We welcome tent campers, tree hammocks, small RVs and small/mid-size campers. We also welcome friendly, leashed pups. ***Please note that we are a working farm, and that we may have scheduled farm visits during the hours of 10-4 daily.

Hemlock Hideaway

Hemlock Hideaway and its 18 acres was originally part of a larger 100-acre plot that was surveyed and settled in the late 1700's by Gideon Granger of the Connecticut Land Company. Granger sold it to one Jehoikim Burget in 1815 for the whopping price of $400. The resident house was built in 1816 by Burget and then passed down to family members over the next 5 generations, until we bought it in 2003, marking the first time the house and remaining property were ever officially sold. In the mid 1800's, a grist mill was put up across the river from the cabin, and our creek was the main road in and out of that operation. There is a gravestone belonging to the wife of Jehoikim's son, she being half Native American and therefore couldn't be buried in the local white cemetery. We also own the original hand-written deed from 1815 detailing the sale of the original 100 acres to Jehoikim Burget. Learn more about this land: Our primitive cabin nestled in the woods overlooking the Grand River is a nature-lover's paradise! Come canoe, fish, experience wine country, or unplug and just get away from it all. Please note: There is no running water or electricity at the site, but the cabin is generator-ready and there is an outhouse. The cabin does have a wood burning stove for heat and simple cooking, however there is no running water or electricity. That being said, the building is wired and has plugs and outlets and is generator-ready. You provide your own generator and fuel. We provide bottled water, sheets, pillows, flashlights, a fire ring with cooking grate, charcoal grill (you provide the charcoal), access to firewood, and an outhouse with toilet paper. Our 1/4 mile of Grand River frontage can be accessed right outside the cabin door via a quick hike down the somewhat steep hillside. If hiking isn't preferred, then a quick two-minute drive will take you to the Harpersfield Covered Bridge Metropark - a favorite of local fishermen. Bigger groups with tents are welcome, but will need to bring all supplies beyond what we provide for two guests.

Purchased by my grandfather back in 1953 it has been a diverse fruit farm for many years. Currently we have almost 200 acres, a lot of it woods. We don't currently grow the crops that we did but we have planted some wine grapes in the last several years. As we also have a winery, The Winery at Spring Hill, we wanted to get some of our own grapes in the ground. We have several places for tent camping and we have a large parking lot at the winery for RV parking. Learn more about this land: Right in the middle of Ohio's Wine Country! Enjoy an evening at our winery or take the day and explore the 30 wineries in the area. In the spring of 2024, we built and opened a fenced in dog park called the "Barking Lot". Woods and fields surround the camping area. Close to the natural beauty of the Grand River (State Wild and Scenic River). Just a few miles from Geneva State Park and Geneva-on-the-Lake. Lots of activities: wine tasting, covered bridges, boating/canoeing/kayaking, fishing, swimming, biking, hiking, birding, nightlife, history, golfing, and lots of natural beauty.

If you are looking to only hear nature this is not the homestead to choose. Not far from all of the amazing Ashtabula attractions. Super close to harbor and cute small towns, wineries, fun local shops, and Lake Erie beaches. Short drive to Erie PA not far from NY boarder. Lots of online delivery to us options. Outhouse available but no electricity and no bath house yet. Ask about sapling adoption!!! Please ask us anything and everything tell us if you know something we love to learn and we are still learning about this wonderful piece of earth we are trying to survive on.
