Home Afarm

7 sites ¡ Lodging, RVs, Tents11 acres ¡ Seaman, OH
Our little hobby farm was procured in December 2021. While we're just getting started our new home, we hope you'll enjoy sharing the orchard, meadows, forest, and swimming pond with us. "Roads go ever ever on, under cloud and under star. Yet feet that wandering have gone turn at last to home afar." Learn more about this land: Come relax atop the Appalachian foothills of southern Ohio. Enveloped in the heart of Tranquility Wilderness Area, our 11 acres has a mix of native pawpaw, peach, pear, and persimmon trees, deciduous forest, cedar woods, wild meadows, a small swimming pond, and a large, accessible field for ample flat for tents and room to play. Trails through the woods are being worked on, and facilities expanded as the seasons pass. Mellow nature’s soundtrack of birds, crickets, and frogs and enjoy an incredibly clear view of the night sky. Hiking, kayaking, biking, birding, fishing, hunting, swimming, and more are available at several state parks and historical sites like within 10-30 minutes of the farm. Amish country is likewise near at hand with several bakeries, markets, furniture shops, and greenhouses. Our primitive sites are spaced for privacy, with a gravel parking area near the cottage and additional field parking is available near the road on the opposite site of the main house. While most sites are walk-in only, the upper field sites may be able to be parked near and the Lower Meadow, Boneyard, and Oak Grove may be able to be driven to, as weather and site conditions permit.

Artemis Gardens BnB

4 sites ¡ Lodging4 acres ¡ Tipp City, OH
Travelers, wanderers, students, naturalists, collaborators, creators, and the curious - stopping by or settling in - you’re in for a retreat beyond the ordinary! Artemis Gardens BnB is more than just a place to sleep (in cozy, enchanting bedrooms) and eat (delicious food the host makes for you). It’s an eclectic oasis nestled within nature, infused with art, and just a few miles from Dayton - very convenient if you’re attending an event or visiting someone in Ohio! Nature is strong here. The cabin is rustic, some of the native plants can be prickly, and pollinators are everywhere - including the honeybees with stingers (who live in three different natural hives on the property). In other words, stay aware of your surroundings. • Stroll among the flowers, fresh air, and sounds of nature. • Enjoy homemade breakfast noms in the sunroom. • Check out a book from the home library. • Get the band back together in the music lounge. • Dip into the art supplies if inspiration strikes. • Close the curtains and nap anytime in your own private bedroom made for a goddess. • Gather your friends, book all three of the rooms, and reconnect for a weekend. • Meet new friends by mingling with fellow guests in the safe, inclusive shared spaces. • It’s only five miles back to the BnB if you’re going to a show at Rose Music Center. • Take a five minute drive to see Charleston Falls and hike. • Need a picnic packed or candlelight dessert setup? You got it. • Build a fire outside. • Craft culinary creations in the stocked and equipped kitchen. • Finish the novel you started writing. • Finish the tv show you started watching. • Enjoy the view of the stars from the back deck or while perched in the Lyra hoop in the sunroom. I live on the property in a separate tiny cabin, and when I book individual rooms, I fix breakfast for my guests. When the entire cabin is booked, I can still provide breakfast or you can have the place all to yourself. You’ll always have my contact info and won’t be too far away.
