This site is perfect! Very well kept and private. Definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to drive to site if you don’t plan on hiking to. I had no problems with my Bronco Sport with A/T tires. Owners are very pleasant and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back to this site.

We chose this site for a fall friends trip and couldn't have been happier about the spot! Gorgeous views, attentive host, and decent seclusion. The site was well maintained and the retreat wasn't crowded with too many camping spots. Almost zero road noise so evenings were very peaceful. Great site. Owner Dan Sr and Dan Jr were great and friendly. Awesome being able to have full hook up for our 5th wheel. 50A was available. Very quiet and was able to enjoy the evenings with just our friends who was camping with us. Will definitely stay there again.

This was our second time staying at Buck Run RV Retreat, always a great experience. It’s peaceful, it’s gorgeous and the host is unbelievably kind! Our last morning we woke up to two baby deer eating and relaxing just feet away from our camper, mama just watched from the tree line, it was so sweet. Had a great 1-night visit at the campsite on the way back from bringing a new NuCamp Barefoot travel trailer down from Michigan to NC. First time ever for us camping and it was perfect. Great directions, easy access, and easy connection to 30AMP power. We didn't have a water hose with us to connect, but Daniel brought us one to borrow and even helped us connect it. He is awesome and we will definitely stay there again if in the area. Beautiful land and peaceful.

Kelli and her husband were incredible. After meeting both for mere minutes I felt like i had been a friend for years. Then friend and family camp is huge beyond belief. The other sites I saw were all very private and more than spacious. They are all in the steep hills of Kentucky though and when they say they recommend four wheel drive, believe them, but you can still enjoy their camps. They were more than happy to haul my gear to camp in their side-by-side when my motorcycle couldn’t make it so don’t let that scare you. This place is worth the adventure!

PERFECTION!! This is exactly what we needed for a quick getaway with our pups! Quiet and isolated but a complete full hook up! No fireworks to scare the pups! The owner of the land checked on us both days and gave us a bag full of red potatoes straight from his garden! We sliced and cooked them up over the fire and brought the rest home. Lovely scenery and beautiful people at a reasonable price! Our dogs were able to run and play without leashes too! Quick walk through the woods if you wanna go fishing and short drive to Hocking Hills as well. We will definitely come back here if we just need some peaceful R&R!!

The Viking longhall has been 9 years in the making by a group of semi serious Viking enthusiasts: the result is a 60 foot long building that has 18, 8,x4' sleeping berths. Set apart from the main open area it also boasts 2 meeting rooms and a kitchen. The campsite is a very peaceful place. Some go as far as to say a healing place! The field is close enough to the Appalachian highway (state route 32) for convenience, but far enough not to be bothered by it. The area is steeped in Native American culture. In fact, the world famous Serpent Mound is but 8 miles away, with many other Adena culture sites within easy driving distance. It's also in the heart of the Amish community. The area is known for its natural beauty with many hiking trails and canoeing opportunities. The area is awash in beauty and history from the ancient mound culture to the amish culture. The area has many hiking trails some of which are part of the buckeye trail and range in length from an easy 1 mile loop to rugged hikes of many miles. Family-Owned 43+ acres. nearly all wooded. This property has been minimally developed so as to allow it to be as clean and as natural of possible. There are some trails making hiking the property easier. A few locations on the property are available for quite private camping stays or family friendly getaways. When you drive up the driveway stick to the right. The houses on the left are different properties. Park where the driveway first levels off or up near the flagpole. Trails are not meant for vehicles. Dual purpose / adventure motorcycles are ok to drive right up to the sites. No ATV's  Solar/fire heated shower near the flagpole. Closed during colder months (Nov-April). Always test the water temperature before use. Hand pulled wagon is there to make it easy to get your things to your site. Return it to the parking/flagpole area when not using it. There is cell service on the property! This is an ideal location to give children adventures that are still within minutes to a small town and other attractions in the Hocking Hills area. Approximate near by places: Enjoy the scenery while driving or just staying put: 17-minute drive to Le Petit Chevalier Vineyards and Farm Winery 20-minute drive to Ash Cave 26-minute to Old Mans Cave 2-3 minute drive to McArthur for supplies if needed

There are plenty of trees for shade, hammocks, etc. There is also an abundance of wildlife: Birds, deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, bobcats, coyotes, and even an occasional black bear. Large firepit at pond for socializing, if desired (Quiet time from 10pm to 8am as a courtesy to other campers).
