Weekend Trip to Artemis Gardens BnB
This was our 2nd time staying with Lisa at her beautiful sanctuary and we have officially declared it our home away from home. She’s made breakfast for us, provided accommodations above and beyond the normal standards of hosting and aside from that, she’s an amazing person to get to know. We’ve both rented a room and also the whole cabin and had tremendous experiences both times. As we walk out of the front door, we’re already daydreaming about our next visit. The ambiance Lisa has created with her property is pure bliss and serenity. The walls, rooms, entire home is filled with beautiful art, gorgeous natural light, beautiful greenery and an overall sense of peace and tranquility. We are so grateful for Lisa and Artemis Gardens and Hipcamp is lucky to have her.

Weekend Trip to GloryField Hospitality Farm
The tent and bathroom setup worked great for us! The shower is 1/2 mile from tent, right by the parking spot. We did not use it or look at it. Toilet is near tent. Super private tent and toilet set up The walk isn't bad and you can use her barn wagon to haul your things if you aren't trying to keep your stuff super clean....worked for us! The friendly host met us upon arrival and told us where to go, super communicable and available if you should need any help. The fishing pond is incredible- you will likely catch smaller large mouth bass but also a couple other types. We caught 10 fish in 2.5 hrs, fishing in the evening and around 10am. Our son had a blast. Even on a cold night, the tent on the hill was suprisingly warm, so I'd rather stay here in milder weather since I'm hot natured. Bring bug spray for ticks if you plan on walking around a lot. Stay out of tall grasses. She gave us an extra bed and bedding for the three of us to sleep comfortable and that took up the whole tent. But our large dog could fit to sleep on the floor at the front entrance with tent zipped shut. There's board games, fire pit and tons of fire wood, grill, drinking water, and water for bathroom sink. Hope this helps someone to book here! Would stay again. Enjoy!

My stay at Lisa's was just magical. The vibe was just heaven to this old hippie's heart who felt like a kid in a candy store exploring all the Wonders that can be found in every corner. This place is so unique warm and welcoming there's a little something for just about everyone unless you just want to hold up in a room alone and then you might as well go to a Motel 6 because this place is all about engaging in life in all forms whether it is chilling out to good music, creating some art or playing music on one of the instruments or cooking a nice meal for the first time in 6 weeks, even just sitting and watching the rain through the beautiful floor to ceiling Windows surrounded by plants. I have already told many friends and I'm planning a return visit. Thank you Lisa you are a gracious and beautiful hostess

My adult daughter and I do a get away each year to celebrate our birthdays. We both are exhausted professionals and need to truly wind down. Lisa’s place was exactly what we needed. The house is so deeply chill and comfy! So many cool things to look at and touch. The added plus of the hanging hoop really blew my daughter’s mind and I loved watching her play like a girl again. We will 100% be coming back!!!

It was a peaceful stay. A nice retreat while in town for worlds WGI (drumline competition). Lisa made breakfast & coffee each morning. Other guests brought their doggo Fox. It was nice having a furry friend around. I hope to come back next year & bring my husband & dog too!

Lisa (human), Nemo, Luna, and Artemis (cats) were amazing hosts during my stay. I came for an outdoorsy getaway and the hiking in the area was plentiful and close. Definitely check out the Charleston Falls - they're amazing year round! Lisa's house is a work of art, each nook and cranny painted and decorated with her own work and charming decor. The room was cozy, the bed comfy, the cats friendly (shout out to my girl Nemo, who will crawl into your skin if you let her. Lots of kisses and cuddles from that ginger sweetheart). The highlight is the sitting room with gorgeous plants and lots of sunlight, looking out onto greenery and critters. Lisa was a gracious host who answered all messages/requests quickly. She made me breakfast and gave me recs for local spots. Spot was easy to find, parking was easy, and although there are a few far-flung neighbors it was 100% quiet.

4 nights at GloryField Hospitality Farm
Had to be in Jamestown, OH for a couple of days, and this Hip Camp site was in the perfect location. The setting was peaceful, and each morning brought a beautiful sunrise. Unfortunately, the weather was cold, windy, and rainy during our stay—I wish it had been warmer so I could have taken a nature walk around the property. The site was easy to access, making arrival and departure hassle-free. Kimberly, the host, was fantastic with communication, and if you're traveling with a group, she has nearby Airbnb properties as well. Looking forward to coming back in better weather!

GloryField Hospitality Farm is a 148 acre active farm and vacation destination. Enjoy your stay and the picturesque view of fields, cow pastures, and wetland pond. Spend your day fishing at the catch & release pond, hiking the 2 miles of mowed trails, you are 3 miles from the Ohio Erie Prairie Bike Trail head. Ask about helping with some of the farm chores. In the evening roast s'mores on a campfire, catch fireflies, or stargaze away from artificial light. The farm is shared space with a variety of short term rental sites; however each site has over 100ft away from each other. The owner Kim also lives on the property in the barn with her 2 golden doodles Scooby & Trixie. GloryField is an active farm so there are also people, vehicles, and farm equipment that have access to the property. They are the only people allowed to drive beyond the driveway. The nearest town of S. Charleston is 3 miles down the road and has a good grocery store, gas station, & dollar stores. Restaurants include Pizza/sub/salads, Chinese, Coffee shop, bakery, & Ice cream (unfortunately no delivery). Other popular destinations are... Cedarville University - 10 Minutes, Yellow Springs & Youngs Jersey Dairy - 20 Minutes. Larger cities of Springfield, Xenia, & London - 30 minutes. Dayton, Columbus, Kings Island, and The Air Force Museum - 1 hour.

Travelers, wanderers, students, naturalists, collaborators, creators, and the curious - stopping by or settling in - you’re in for a retreat beyond the ordinary! Artemis Gardens BnB is more than just a place to sleep (in cozy, enchanting bedrooms) and eat (delicious food the host makes for you). It’s an eclectic oasis nestled within nature, infused with art, and just a few miles from Dayton - very convenient if you’re attending an event or visiting someone in Ohio! I live on the property in a separate cabin, with three indoor cats - Artemis, Luna, and Nemo. They can hang with you or I can keep them away depending on your preference. When I book individual rooms, I fix breakfast for my guests. When the entire cabin is booked, I can still provide breakfast or you can have the place all to yourself. You’ll always have my contact info and I won’t be too far away. Nature is strong here. The cabin is rustic, some of the native plants can be prickly, and pollinators are everywhere - including the honeybees with stingers (who live in three different natural hives on the property). In other words, stay aware of your surroundings. • Stroll among the flowers, fresh air, and sounds of nature. • Enjoy homemade breakfast noms in the sunroom. • Check out a book from the home library. • Get the band back together in the music lounge. • Dip into the art supplies if inspiration strikes. • Close the curtains and nap anytime in your own private bedroom made for a goddess. • Gather your friends, book all three of the rooms, and reconnect for a weekend. • Meet new friends by mingling with fellow guests in the safe, inclusive shared spaces. • It’s only five miles back to the BnB if you’re going to a show at Rose Music Center. • Take a five minute drive to see Charleston Falls and hike. • Need a picnic packed or candlelight dessert setup? Down a private drive, tucked back in the woods, this A frame sits on 3 acres. In the warmer months, the home is far more secluded. In the winter months, neighbors homes are visible through the brush, but we just planted 28 7ft trees to help with this. The property features 2 acres of fenced in property, which is perfect for all size dogs. Hot tub and sauna on large wrap around deck, plus two propane heaters. Top floor features main king size bedroom with large deck. 2 couches and one giant bean bag chair, plus 2 TVs with PS5. 2 king size bedrooms on the main level. All 3 king bedrooms feature black out curtains. A queen "bedroom" in the downstairs next to the bar, pool table, and full gym. Aerial silks on top floor and main level. Two hammocks-- one by the grill and the other tucked in the woods. They are the wonderful cocoon type that you can easily fall asleep in. Beautiful trails weave through the fenced in property. Giant firepit area with plenty of space to pitch tents if some of the group would like to enjoy being outside. Bulb lights spaced around the property. Lots of wildlife that comes to visit, including multiple generations of deer who have been having and raising their young on our property for years. (There is NO hunting on our property) Property backs up to 50 acres of designated Green Space with a small creek that runs through it.
