McKee Farm is rich in memories and rich in history. It has been in the family for over 150 years and we were told that it was one of stopping points for the underground railroad. The 240 acre farm boasts a hidden cave, wide open fields, breathtaking forest land, and historic and rustic barns. Nestled at the edge of a wooded creek, Tullihas in the Trees treehouse boasts a beautiful sunset view with rolling hills. Tullihas combines comfort with the thrill of being immersed in nature. Built using recycled electric poles, Tullihas in the Trees has a deck perfect for hammocking, an interior dressed with windows so that guests can feel as if they are living amongst the trees, and two small lofts ideal for a restful night's sleep. Oxley in the Woods is our newest treehouse cabin. Nestled in the woods with a view of the sunset, the lovely A Frame is filled with lovely woodwork, vintage parquet flooring, and private wooded views. The deck is huge! We've had guests set up a tent on the deck beside the treehouse for fun! Swings, and a slide make the Oxley a fun adventure. The double bed in the loft and the two stacked single beds are comfortable and cozy. The McKee Farmhouse was built in the 1800s and is rich in memories. It's a rustic old house, with wood trim, hardwood floors, and plenty of imperfections that make it unique. You can sit on the porch and drink your coffee with a view of the barn and pastures, or cozy up in one of the house's four bedrooms and sleep in. The house is fully air conditioned and heated, has all the amenities of home, but takes you back to a simpler time. Our campsites are all set apart from one another in various locations on the 240 acre farm. Secluded and unique, each campsite has its own charm. We provide guests with a fire ring and a shovel, and some sites have a picnic table. Hiking trails are marked throughout the land. Guests can hike with views of horses, cows, wildlife, corn fields, large boulders, and rustic barns. The dirt roads provide great places to drive ATVs and four-wheelers. An Amish farm borders McKee Farm. Guests should know there is minimal cell service, however, this can offer a great opportunity to unplug. The drive here follows scenic country roads, so please be mindful of winding turns and local wildlife along the way. My 2 littles and I stayed here for our yearly mommy & little escape and had the best time! The cabin was in such a peaceful area, but so much to explore! Everything we needed was available and it was very comfortable. The kids loved the little fishing pond too! PJ greeted us when we got there and gave us the background information on the place; which was very interesting. He made us feel welcome and was available when needed! We will definitely return! Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway!

The cabin was very nice, well designed, clean and comfortable. The land and woods surrounding were beautiful, and it was a very peaceful spot. There was lovely attention to detail and accommodations in the cabin, everything was clean and well stocked, the heating and cooling were taken care of, and there were games and a nice DVD selection to choose from. This was a great spot to unplug and get away for the weekend, and we would definitely stay again!

The Oxley site is a really nice site to camp at. I know it's only a primitive cabin, but only just barely. It has so many comforts that I wasn't expecting, it felt pretty luxurious compared to what I thought it might be. No water, no electric. No problem. Honestly, you hardly notice that while you're there. So many little but smart decision to implement something like reflective tape and solar lights on the stairs. Or, backup cookware and plateware in case you forgot yours. The camplights in the cabin and in the outhouse to use when needed. Even a little stove. So many little things that just add up to make the stay as nice as possible. Beyond that, being back away from the road was nice. You don't feel secluded, but it certainly feels private. Being half way up a large hill, you'll want AWD or 4x4 to get up it, but it's location is nice because going further up the hill on foot gets you to a flat landing that we liked to sit at and watch the sunrise hit the hills around us. It's a great place for a couple, small family, or a small group of people. Would definitely come here again.

This place is a gem! So cozy and private! Kitchen is stocked and great for cooking. The nature around the cabin is lovely, great spot on top of hill for sunset and moonrise! The host was very nice and accommodating. You can here some noise from road but there isn’t much traffic so it’s not bad. We had an amazing stay and will be returning!

We loved staying in the cabin. The land is beautiful. Despite being fall, it was warm, and the compost bathrooms were clean. They also provided us wood and some lanterns! The one recommendation is getting there while it’s still bright out because it can be a bit hard to navigate to the cabins. Overall it was a great trip!

This was a wonderful location! We used infrared and night vision plus Heat sensors down in the hollow looking for Bigfoot. Had a great fire at the fire pit. Spent Saturday at the Bigfoot Conference. Drove over to salt fork state forest - packed like sardines there vs turkey Hollow - never felt crowded. Will definitely return. There is electrical and one light inside the cabin - didn’t have to use my ECOFLOW. Bring your cot or rollout matt - plenty of room. Approx 16x16 cabinets with porch. Outside there are plenty of trees for hammocks as well. Two port a John’s to choose from and water outside the cabin. Again, I will be back! Thx … this was a great accidental find. The Seabee Clem

Weekend Trip to Ashcraft Hills

Our vist to Michelle & PJ'S cabin was relaxing and enjoyable! Pj arrived shortly after our arrival to show us a few things needed to make our stay more pleasant. Also a bit of family history of the property. For example; how to open the newly installed back door (among other things) which opens completely to bring the outdoors right into the living room! Even without a screen it was outstanding, as there were no bugs to speak of, over than the occasional sink bug which finds themselves a way in no matter what. He also pointed out a hiking trail/logging path which we, and our dogs enjoyed. He also made it very clear that he was available to bring us anything any time, be it more wood, to runnig out of salt. Though the cabin was well stocked with everything needed for our weekend stay. We have stayed in much higher priced cabins that were not stocked as well. After the meet & greet we never saw him again. (As it should be) Our dogs, which are used to being off leash, had the run of the place. Our lab mix found the pond and creek on her own...lol and roamed the woods and fields. While indoors they loved laying on the deck watching the leaves fall and watch wildlife. We were also very comfortable on the deck, or inside enjoying the outdoors.( the door) lol We had fires indoors and out, very relaxing. I could go on and on! If we are in that area again we will definitely rent this cabin again. You just can't beat the price!

Weekend Trip to Glamping at River Run

This little getaway was everything. The rustic, bohemian vibe was thoughtfully executed. It was warm, inviting, and so clean! The hosts are excellent communicators which was evident right way. They have taken care of every detail. Seriously, leave it all at home! Blankets, lanterns, kitchen/cooking items - stocked! We drove over 3 hours to camp in someone's backyard. Was it worth it? YES! Not negatives, but some things to consider: There is a train nearby that you hear all night which i find personally comforting. You will also hear a decent amount of traffic noise from the nearby road. Although you're tucked away, there are still people and other glampers on the neighboring property that you can hear and see. Also, the waterfront is super cute! Probably good for fishing and walking the property, but too mucky for taking a dip. Oh! The nearby downtown area is also fabulous with lots of great shops, bars, and restaurants. This sweet little glamp spot has everything. 💕

A beautiful and quiet place, would definitely recommend staying here! The cabin was clean and cozy. I would recommend parking near the first campground where the wood is and not by your cabin unless you have 4wheel drive because the hill is quite steep. I definitely plan to stay here again!

The cabin was perfect! Highly recommend it. The host did a great job with the place. Gives a good detailed layout of the property and places to visit in a book. Also fun with all the different animals on the property the host owns.
