The barn is beautiful and you are welcome to take photos, however, you are NOT permitted in the barn without supervision. Absolutley NO smoking or fire near the barn. It is over 100 years old and built by my great grand family and is irreplaceable.
SPECIAL FEATURE:
As I am just beginning the camp on site experience I offer several options and additional services.
#1. Some find out after arriving that I teach NC Concealed Carry Handgun Classes. If you wish to participate in a class, it is preferred that you register before the day of the class. I will post classes on this site so that campers will know there will be shooting in the late afternoon. Some chose to camp on other weekends, some choose to go out to eat during those times, and some don't mind either way.
#2. I am also much in favor of work for camp site. Some have asked to do clean up or other small jobs for the priviledge to camp. So far this has worked out well, with one exception. Please do not accept an offer to take on a task that you do not know how to do. Example, pulling weeds or trimming if you do not know what a weed verses flower looks like. LOL
#3. There is plenty of firewood, see photos, here laying around and some trees down that will make great firewood (bring your own cutting tools.) We also sell firewood by the bundle.
#4. Being a camper here gives you the privilege of fresh veggies and fruits that are in season, as well as fresh free range eggs.
MAJOR POINT:
You must remember this is a working farm and our duties and responsibilities for the farm come first.
You must abide by the boundaries. *see map* The creek is the back boundary and should never be crossed onto my neighbors. I will not tolerate any disrespect to my neighbors, what so ever.
No! the roosters don't have an off button, neither does the jacka... donkey! When it is hay cutting time, we will cut hay. If you want to hike the property, feel free, know the boundaries and bring a machete to cut your way by the creek/stream in some areas. We have thistle trees and briars, you are welcome to cut all you wish as you go. There are spiders, bugs, and snakes etc. Black snakes, king snakes, runners, and whip snakes belong here and we ask that you do not kill them. Copperheads are here as qell and if you see one, come get me and I will dispatch it for you.

My husband is retired from the Air Force and works full time doing the chores. I retired May 2024 from being a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center. I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. Michelle’s campground is a beautiful property. It was very clean, peaceful, and quiet. All the other campers were friendly and excellent neighbors. Everyone was respectful of everyone else’s privacy and space (which protected the overall vibe of the place) while still be kind and friendly. Overall the property is clean and extremely well-maintained. I enjoyed the trails for walking with my dogs, and they enjoyed getting to see the various animals. At night, it was dark and silent - which was so refreshing. Michelle herself met me when I arrived and was very helpful and so nice. I had an excellent experience and will definitely plan for this to be my go-to spot when I am in the area!

The hosts were extremely responsive, helpful and accommodating. We tried to get ahead but ended up stuck through the snow storm. In a panic I made the wrong reservation but without hesitation there was someone on the phone to ensure we safely arrived in the proper slip. Clean restrooms, friendly staff, laundry facilities, accessible trash area and even had a propane filling station. Walmart close by and near a plethora of places to eat…when not snowed in. Definitely recommend. Only advise: to consider not showering while laundry is in use - only due to low pressure and lack of control to fire and ice temperatures 😅 **this is Not a complaint, just to be aware**

The place was great! The bathhouse needed cleaning and supplies. There was no hot water in the shower. Other than that, we liked the play area for the children. During summer, the pool is a must!

Great place. Huge field with tins of open space. Nice neighbors. Adjoins another field with lots of different animals that my dog was amazed by. Heather stopped by to check on us and is very nice. I will definitely stay again.

We arrived 1 hour before sunset. Heather and Chris were attending to the animals, getting them ready for a cold night 30 degrees. It was amazing to see the variety of animals they have. Heather invited us into the coral where we got to meet and pet them. So much fun. They have a beautiful farm. We highly recommend their place!!

This place is absolutely wonderful. The owner is so sweet and thoughtful. It will be our go to spot anytime we are in town for horse shows. Its quite and well taken care of and if you have an animal lover they will love it here.

It was a great spot and close to Sedgefield at The Park- perfect for horse shows. She provides you everything you may need firewood, cute little donkeys/ goats and Michelle is very hospitable. Perfect Host!
