We had a great time camping at Canter Lakes Sunset cliff site! It was a beautiful property with plenty of privacy. We hiked the trails around the property, saw some farm animals, and kayaked in the private lakes. Great spot!

The hosts were so incredibly kind and gracious! The property was easy to find, quiet, and such a breath of fresh air. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of birds and nature. We will definitely be back!

We had to make a last minute change in plans and we were very happy to see that there was a place to camp at such late notice. And even more happy to see that there was a shower! Got in under total darkness, had an issue getting our bearings initially but the directions Julie gave were very good. But the best surprise of all was waking up. We didn’t realize how pretty to site was until we got up and we left wishing that we could’ve stayed longer. We would definitely stay here again.

I loved camping here, the view was amazing as well as quick access to the bathrooms. Easy to navigate the place. Very secluded and felt safe. Would recommend to anyone!

Amazing property, easy to navigate back to private, secluded site passed the horses and donkey. Camping on soft sand under the beautiful live oak enjoying the sights and sounds of nature was such a great experience (especially the barred owls :) The trails were nice and we definitely want to take advantage of the easy access to water next trip down (fishing/kayaking). The bath house was appreciated and convenient. Thanks for having us!

The site was very quiet and relaxing. Julie was kind and easy to communicate with. The property allowed me to visit Wilmington, without the hassle of an RV park.

Our stay was great! Very easy to find per the instructions, and the map the owners send is helpful since there are private properties and other homes bordering parts of the property. The bathhouse is a really great amenity- didn’t use the shower but being able to have a place with (super) hot water for brushing teeth and using a flushing toilet etc made a difference in the cold morning weather! We can’t wait to come back when it’s warm and take advantage of the creek access.

My daughter and I camped here and had a great time! Secluded campsite with very beautiful scenery. We really enjoyed the solar string lights on the wooden posts - so cool. The bathroom with shower which is only a short walk from campsite was nice. We will definitely be back again!!!

My dad and I recently restored a 1978 Volkswagen Westfalia camper bus and decided to try it out for the first time at Canter Lakes. It was perfect! The spot is located beside 2 ponds with a large sunshade covering. We drove two cars and pitched and tent and had a ton of space left over. You could see a home in the far far distance, but that was it. We felt very secluded (in a good way). There was a bathroom and showers within a 5 minute walk and it was very useful indoor our nephew. We did not use the shower. We came from Myrtle Beach, SC which was about a 1.5 hour drive. The area is about 30 min from downtown Wilmington, NC. The host was very helpful and communicative. We will be back!!!

We had such a wonderful time camping here!! Very relaxing and plenty of privacy, the dogs had amazing time as well!! Bathroom facilities are nice and convenient, would highly recommend.
