I have approximately 2 acres partially wooded located off of a gravel road. Country feel close to the coast! North Topsail Beach is about a 5 minute drive and many other waterways with boat ramps . We are located 20 minutes south of Camp Lejeune and about 30 minutes north of Wilmington. I have a fenced in back yard for kids and or pets. A few playgrounds set up. Firepit available. Charcoal grill available. I will allow limited access to indoor bathroom. Limited access to use of kitchen depending on circumstances.

The Secret Sanctuary Farm is a co/op located on a portion of Prince George Creek that has a double Oxbow or hairpin turns in the creek. This unique feature prevented loggers from logging the property. As a result, there are many huge old-growth trees on the property as well as a variety of fauna and flora. A truly unique blend of farmland. Including an assortment of friendly animals to interact with. Woodland, wetlands, and a deep spring fed fresh water creek that connects to the Cape Fear River. This is a working farm. Please do not Open any gates to the animals. The fruits and vegetables on the farm are for the members of the farm. Eggs from our chickens will be provided for you to use for breakfast. If you happen to choose a campsite with a kitchen. There is a coffee pot and all cooking utensils. There are four permanent 4 shelters on the property. Composting toilets. Showers are still in the works. All of the shelters have their own composting toilets. Small propane heaters are available for each shelter. The first 1gallon bottle off propane is free with your stay. it will last 5-7 hrs. each additional bottles will cast $6.00 per bottle. There is also solar, powered lights, usb charging stations, fans, and air coolers. each Conestego hut has a locking front door to keep your belongings safe Campfires, hiking, canoeing and kayaking. Kayaks, canoes and lifejackets are available. All the Wilmington beaches are within 30 minutes.

You will experience the most unforgettable sunsets, overwhelming peace, tranquility and a supreme connection back to nature. With only a 10 minute drive to historic downtown New Bern and a 30-40 minute drive to the beach, you can experience the best of both worlds. Many people tell us, and we know it true ourselves, there is something truly healing about our property. Come find out! Our personal home is located on the property, but we give our campers space and privacy during their visit. A few notes: -Our campsite is located on a peninsula surrounded by the river, because of the nature of the property, we do not allow children under 10 to visit. -Firewood is not provided but can be purchased at KOA just down the highway. -Fishing licenses are required for those wishing to fish -On your ride down our dirt road you will pass mobile homes about a 1/4 of a mile from us. These are our friendly neighbors that keep to themselves and do not interact with our property. If you are not comfortable driving past that, this might not be the campsite for you. This is very common in rural North Carolina. -Our campsite is for 5 people and 2 tents max. If you have more than 5 people coming please request to add additional people to your reservation. -Our bathroom has a sink, toilet and electricity. There is no shower available. -This is eastern NC, and there are plenty of wildlife and bugs. -Dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all times. -The campsite is located on the peninsula of our property but if you are more comfortable camping away from the riverfront you are able to move over to the pond as well (there is also a fire pit there).

Stay on a working farm/ vineyard. Originally a tobacco farm that was converted into a muscadine vineyard. Currently it's more of a farm than a vineyard. The vines are still there, but it was empty for a couple years. Such a magical spot with so much history. Plenty of space to wonder. Late summer we have Upick. We also grow vegetables and pasture raised meat/ eggs.

Weekend Trip to Happy Haven

I really enjoyed my stay! The location felt safe and was conveniently close to supermarkets and restaurants (just a 5-minute drive) and only 15 minutes from the beach. I car camped this time, but the site looks great for tent camping too, which I’m planning to try next time. Kath was very responsive and answered all my questions quickly. Although I didn’t get to meet her in person, I still felt very welcome.

Host was awesome! Beautiful sunset and sunrise view on the vineyard. Will definitely go back again. The local town doesn’t have much to offer, so come prepared and stocked! River kayaking, hiking, and plenty of wildlife!

Weekend Trip to The Secret Sanctuary Farm

Words can’t express how wonderful their campsite is! The cabins have comfortable beds, there is everything and anything you would need to stay for a weekend or longer. All you need to bring is food , whatever comfort items you personally want. They have everything! They have grills, fishing equipment, kayaks, life vest, firewood, power to charge phones, bug spray, fans, grilling/ cooking equipment. This is a once in a lifetime place. It is such an amazing special place, tucked back in the woods next to a creek with plenty of shade, chairs , fire rings , shower , camp toilets, dock to fish off of. Plenty of catfish, bowfin, bluegill, bass to find. Each cabin is slightly bigger than the bed , it has solar powered lights that also can charge your phone. Private camp toilets, shower that is from the creek water , and the peace and quiet is unimaginable. James and Sola are amazing people, the nicest people you will find. Anything you need they are there to help. Their farm is a sanctuary that they tend to with animals that are kid safe , chickens, horses, goats and many more. The pride and love they have for their property for your camping adventure is worth every second you are there and every penny. Perfect for romantic spot, a getaway, mental health, whatever your reason is this is the place for you. HIGHLY recommend. The solitude and experience is unbelievable. James and Sola were very nice and welcoming! We stayed at Lokis lookout and enjoyed the serenity! Feeding the animals was a nice welcome to the property, and a great way to start off a quiet camping weekend. We found it super convenient that there was lots of camping equipment for cooking that was made available!

Very favorable location to North Topsail beach, well maintained land and friendly host. Kathrine was very responsive and accommodating and having a potty on site was a nice addition to our camping. Overall highly recommended, just remember to bring a bug spray lol

Just got back from an awesome RV trip to Sneads Ferry, North Carolina 🏖️! I can't believe how beautiful the area was, it was the perfect getaway. Our RV was super cozy, and it made the trip so much more enjoyable. The host was so friendly. Definitely will be coming back.

Weekend Trip to Phoenix Farms Vineyard

Host(s) were friendly, meeting us on arrival and offered us two options to set up in. We chose the one a bit further away from the animals (goats, chickens, ducks, peacock, & a pig with piglets) all of which were extremely cute, but we had our dog with us and didn't want to stress him or the animals. Our spot was a bit more private and further away from the house and pen, Keep in mind s there are no services so make sure you are fully self contained. The spot was nice and open so our solar and starlink had clear views. Host even offered us some fresh eggs the day we left It was a peaceful couple of days

James & Sola were great hosts. They showed us around the property upon arrival and gave us options for our one night stay. They were very accommodating. My son got to help feed the animals their dinner and really enjoyed himself. We did camp near the chicken coop, so it was no surprise when the roosters began to crow in the morning.

We absolutely loved this space! Spanish moss, river front, big sky, birds, jumping fish made for a peaceful retreat. The bathroom was a big bonus as well as a nice fire pit. We hope to return soon!
