Our camp is the shared vision of Brian and Lee and son Michael. We fell in love with this beautiful property where we plan to build our eco-friendly, off-grid homestead and farm. Lee's favorite song and the inspiration behind our name is "Puff the Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul and Mary. A land of whimsical imagination, beauty and maybe a dragon or three is our shared vision for the farm.
The camping options are flexible, ranging from prepared campsites along both Little and Deep creeks with composting outhouses nearby, to "Camper's Choice" options where you may hike in or drive in and create your own camping experience. Please note that since the "Camper's Choice" options allow freedom to select hike-in or drive-in options, the exact distance to nearest outhouse may vary.
There are 144 acres to explore so campers can set up a secluded getaway or cluster together in a group.

Honah Lee Farms has over 140 acres of woods with open fields distributed throughout. We are bordered to the south by the Flat River, to the west by Deep Creek, and to the north by Little Creek. Most of our campsites are nestled in the trees along one of these bodies of water and all campers have access to the 10 foot waterfall area where Deep Creek runs into the Flat River.

My farm had been untouched for years and only used as hay farming. It is rolling hills known by the locals as "Butterfly Hill" Which the farm is home to many species of butterflies in the summer. I know the area was inhabited by native Americans many decades ago. I have found a few broken arrow heads over the years. The farm is beautiful and quiet. I have a beautiful hiking trail around the property for you to take your fur babies on. The cabin is right on a beautiful stream too. There are several state parks nearby and river tubing within 10 -30 minutes. Hot showers and potable water just a few feet away.

Our farm is a beautiful, private 25 acres with an 1830s house, outbuildings, animals, orchards, gardens, pastures, old trees, wildlife habitat, a spring, and woods. I love this farm space and Rebecca who runs it. I rented the pine run site. Spacious and comfortable. Walks around the farms are beautiful feeding a friendly horse and saying hi to the goats and chickens.
Rebecca offers breakfasts st a reasonable fee but i missed that during my second visit here.
You cant miss out on visiting here.

I stayed at The Love Shack this weekend and had a wonderful experience. Wendy was a wonderful host—thoughtful, welcoming, and clearly dedicated to creating a beautiful space for her guests. She even cleared the leaves off the trail before I arrived, which made for such a lovely walk through the woods. I spotted a deer along the way which was nice.
The A-frame shelter was cozy and warm. I enjoyed the most relaxing nap in the hammock. I highly recommend!

We had a great time at the love shack! It was perfectly cozy, and Wendy has done such a wonderful job creating an accommodative experience that really feels unique. The shack itself was more spacious than I expected, and the setting was beautiful, were very grateful that Wendy would share her beautiful land with the public! Even though it rained we were able to stay warm and dry. It was a really great place to stay, and I hope we get another chance to visit.

Camper's Choice #1 comes with a secondary site that is more secluded than the primary. There is a small hike so pack lightly because the trail isn't exactly smooth. Once at the site though it is completely private, except for a few cows across the creek that are pretty nosey. We said multiple times during our stay that it is the best site on the property so check it out. The site doesn't have a picnic table like the others and the outhouse is a 5 minute hike away, but it's manageable. There is a table and fire pit provided. Also Mike is very helpful and always available if we needed anything. 10/10

Absolutely loved camping here! Mike (Brian's son) was our main point of contact and so nice and helpful. He sold us some firewood after we ran out for a great price. Being right next to the water was so peaceful. They have two super friendly donkeys that you're able to go up and pet which was a blast! Would definitely love to come back during the spring or summer to forage some.

This is a great spot beside a canoeable river that has a put in about 2.5 hrs upstream. Teresa was very prompt with communication. I certainly hope to go back and would recommend it. I've camped at alot of hipcamp sites and this was definitely one of the better ones.

Mike was great checking us in and showing us around. Spot was perfect for tents, 2 small and 1 large. Wooded area on a “peninsula” with the creek wrapping around you. Was just Dad, his daughters and their dogs and we all had a great time. Especially the dogs in the creek. Outhouse is easy and quick to get to, kids could go in their own without worry. Saw some vehicles at another spot up from us, but never saw the campers or heard them. Great spot.

I can't say enough about this place and the owners. The site, was beautiful and there was plenty of room for activities. When we got there, they were unloading a huge load of wood for us, and came back the next afternoon and dropped off more. They were so nice and helpful, and even offered to take us and the kayaks up river so we could float down! We will be back here many many more times in the future, especially in the spring and summer to do some fishing! We did catch 3 bass in about 20 minutes, nothing big, but fun to catch.

We absolutely loved our weekend here at Canaan Campground! It was very private, and we felt extremely safe there. Plenty of room to camp either by the river, or up by the main fire pit in the field. The owners, are what made this place perfect. They were extremely helpful, made sure we knew how to get there, and also kept us stocked with firewood. You couldn't ask for nicer folks. There's so much land here to run around on with the kids, or pets, and plenty of fishing available, right there at the site. I was able to catch 2 rock bass and one small mouth in about 20 minutes. We can't say enough about how awesome this place was, and we will 100 percent be staying here in the future.
