This property is 180 acres of woods and mountains with streams and ponds. Beautiful settings. If you like hiking in the mountains this will definitely hit the spot. YO can fish in the ponds it has blue gills and catfish. I also added grass carp there as part of weed management. This used to be an abandoned farm which I want to bring back to life. The site offers three luxury large Safari Style Tents and 4 Pioneer wagons. All tents are far away from each other to provide privacy and freedom of going Wild (still remaining civilized in your manners and careful attitude to Nature around you). Tent 1 is in the Forrest itself and it is pretty cook and serene. Tent 2 is on the top of a rocky hill overlooking the forest. Tent 3 is the most remote and closest to the ponds. It has most of the open space around it, and can be a great place for parties. We are working on making the sites and the area more comfortable, but I do not want to make it a manicured park. I want it to remain wild and still offer comfortable stay. The farm is work in progress. Eventually it will be an Ostrich farm. and have other animals too. The closest town - Lenoir is about 12 miles away . Closest Grocery store (Dollar General) - about 3 miles away. Closest Gas station - 2 miles away. Professional Tennis court, Basketball court and large kids playground are in a public park within - 5 minute drive. Lenoir has restaurants, shopping, etc. Hickory is a larger town about 25 minutes drive. Hickory Lake is a large reservoir with marina where you can rent a boat and it also offers a good game fishing. Nice swimming beach access on Lake Hickory 13 miles ( 20 Minutes) from here: Lake Hickory Wittenburg access area (Wittenburg Access Area, 175 Wildlife Access Rd, Hickory, NC 28601) Asheville is 1:25 hrs to the West, Charlotte is 1:25 hr to the East. There are couple of Ski resorts 45 minutes to an hr away.

Located on family land granted by King Charles in 1685 we have worked hard to restore and refurbish in a sustainable way, using the trees and supplies from the land that they sit on. Hand crafting doors and furniture the way the family did it 140 plus years ago. The history of this place is deep, even the nails for the cabin and farm house that is now the clubhouse were hand crafted by my great grandfather in his blacksmith shop, along with the wagon wheels, horse shoes, misc farm utensils etc... there was no running out to Lowes to pick up what was needed, it was made in the blacksmith shop. We love riding ATV's and SXS's on the trails on the mountains that I grew up on with my 3 brothers, we hope the people who visit and experience the mountains feel about them the way we do, we love em. We like to give riding tours and talking about the mountain and its challenges. We named the park from the famous product that was created here during prohibition, Cherry Bounce Moonshine. You can visit some of the original still sites on the mountain, of course they are not operational today. About the adventure co side, We are an adrenaline pumping ATV and SXS park with 25+ miles of mountainous trails at four skill levels; Green (Easy), Blue (Challenging), Black Diamond (Very Difficult) and Double Black Diamond (Most Difficult). You can bring your own ATV or SXS or rent one of ours. We have cabins & camp sites that are accessed by ATV or SXS on the mountains as well as hiking or biking. We do not allow jeeps, trucks or dirt bike motorcycles on the mountain, just ATV's and SXS vehicles.

Second trip back, we love it here. The yurt is perfect, it has more than needed to make you comfortable. The property is private and peaceful, fish in the pond, plenty to explore, we are coming back every year.

If I could rate it higher I would, this was a great get away on a beautiful plot of land, the beds are comfortable and even with 8 people it didn’t feel cramped at all. They also had pickleball which was a lot of fun. 10/10

We spent the weekend in the bus and absolutely loved it! The kids loved the driver's seat and the sitting area upstairs. It was an awesome night escape with nothing but the stars above. They have thought of literally everything you need. The view and atmosphere were lovely! It's a nice place to forget the city life. We will definitely do it again. The host is very attentive and pleasant.

We loved the area! So beautiful and peaceful! The host had everything ready for us and we didn’t run into big issues. However the ad said 6 people max and I think that’s a little misleading. It was just 2 of us and there was not a lot of room in the camper. It would be a good spot for more people who brought tents to put up outside the camper. Again we enjoyed it and I recommend, just be aware of the amount of space inside.

Weekend Trip to Rustic Ridge Rooftop Skoolie

We had the best time on Steven’s land in the Rooftop Skoolie! Steven was an extremely gracious and communicative host, and we felt incredibly cared and provided for throughout the entire trip! The bus sits at the backside of a beautiful property and feels completely private. We opted for Steven to provide a bundle of firewood for us, and a large, dry stack was waiting for us when we arrived! While sitting around the fire pit, you’ll enjoy mountain views and wide open rolling hay fields. We loved roasting marshmallows and catching fireflies in the evening. The newly constructed “outhouse” (toilet, shower, and laundry) was gorgeous, clean, and climate controlled, which made getting cleaned up after a long hot day of hiking a real treat. The bus itself was a highlight of the trip for my two boys. They loved sitting behind the wheel, pressing all of the switches and buttons, and operating the door for us to move in and out. The interior has been carefully designed and crafted to maximize utility without sacrificing comfort. While we did spend most of our time outdoors, we were all able to sleep comfortably inside. There’s a small selection of card and board games that we played at the picnic table during downtime and didn’t feel the need to turn the TV on at all. If you’re looking for a special weekend getaway close to hiking, swimming, waterfalls, fishing, mountain biking, paddling, and so much more, look no further than the Rooftop Skoolie! 10/10 would recommend!

This property was absolutely fantastic! It is a little piece of heaven nestled I the foothills of South Mtn. The property offers peace, quiet and beauty with an amazing host that makes sure you're comfortable and taken care of. The property also hosts a slew of gorgeous animals including Highland cattle. The site is well-maintained, well stocked and provides you comfort away from home. Its far enough away from civilization to give you peace and quiet, but also close enough if you want to run and get a pizza or hit a local brewery. I will be staying again in the near future and recommend to any and everyone!

2 nights at The Barn Loft

We loved this farm! The rolling pastures are beautiful, it was a delight to see and talk to all of the animals. Brittany was very accommodating, providing us with some wood for the burn barrel. This is not meant to be a negative comment, buy if you stay during cold snaps, I highly suggest you layer up. As cozy, clean, and cute as the loft is, it does not get warm in the least when it's in the 20s. We layered up, brought extra sleeping bags so we were fine. The animals in the barn below have their idea of noise level. Ha! We appreciate farm life, so none of the various noises bothered us. It was quite amusing. The bathroom downstairs is very rustic, but clean. We didn't have the opportunity to check out the outdoor shower. We will definitely return!

Everything was perfect, Adil's setup included everything we needed and some things we wouldn't have thought of. We loved the area, and the kids had fun with the canoe. We'll be going back and would recommend this site to anyone.
