We carved our 43 acre horse farm out of wild swampy land in 2007 and finished the barndeminium in 2008. We started with Hipcamp 6 years ago and enjoy meeting new people. My husband is retired from the Air Force and works full time doing the chores. I retired May 2024 from being a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center. I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. We have different sites, please read each description or message me before you book a stay. All the sites have an 8pm latest check in unless you've stayed with us before. With the cold snap we have been experiencing the RV water source will freeze up over night. Please message me before booking the RV. We are constantly looking for ways to upgrade or make our farm more fun to visit.

My family of seven spent two wonderful days at Double LLC Farm, and it was exactly the kind of weekend I hoped to give my kids. From the moment we arrived, they were completely in love with the animals , petting them, exploring the farm, and enjoying the freedom to run and play in a peaceful, safe space. Even the camper neighbors were friendly, which made the whole environment feel warm and welcoming.
What truly made this stay special were Lisa and her husband. They are some of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve met in North Carolina. Their hospitality, warmth, and professionalism made us feel like more than guests. People like them give you hope in humanity, and small businesses run with this much heart deserve all the support in the world.
My kids were sad when it was time to leave because they loved the animals, the quiet atmosphere, and especially the kindness of Lisa and her husband. The farm is peaceful, fun, and perfect for families who want to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with each other.

Lisa was a wonderful host, very friendly and helpful, and we loved meeting all her furry friends! An added bonus was Lisa’s little store that offers high quality, farm-fresh meats. We needed a place to stop over night and Double L fit the bill. Lisa, the host, was very responsive, welcoming, and met us at the gate to guide us to our spot. Since we were there only one night, we didn't get a chance to check out the farm attractions. It felt safe and not crowded at all. All the hookups were in good condition and easily accessible. Our only issue (and this was really on us) is that the electric was 50 amp and we have 30 amp. A quick drive to Wally world for an adapter that I had been meaning to buy anyway solved that problem. Quick access to the interstate got us on our way quickly the next morning. We would stay again. Thanks for the southern hospitality, Lisa!

5 nights at Parkton Place
Our family loved camping at Parkton Place. Heather and Chris were great hosts. The views were beautiful and the property was nice and clean. Our kids had a wonderful time playing with their friendly dogs, fishing at the pond and loved feeding the farm animals. Thanks Heather and Chris!

Easy stopover spot a handful of miles off of I-95. Lisa and Brian were super easy to work with. Double L has good "sense of place" -- off the beaten path, wake up to a misty neadow full of grazing cows, sun streaming through a grove of southern pine-- a nice slice of southern NC. Chatted with Brian about the rest of the farm operations (goat's milk and butcher shop) but we did not have time to visit these onsite establishments during our short stay. Bath facilities were clean and conveniently located.

Michelle’s campground is a beautiful property. It was very clean, peaceful, and quiet. All the other campers were friendly and excellent neighbors. Everyone was respectful of everyone else’s privacy and space (which protected the overall vibe of the place) while still be kind and friendly. Overall the property is clean and extremely well-maintained. I enjoyed the trails for walking with my dogs, and they enjoyed getting to see the various animals. At night, it was dark and silent - which was so refreshing. Michelle herself met me when I arrived and was very helpful and so nice. I had an excellent experience and will definitely plan for this to be my go-to spot when I am in the area!

The hosts were extremely responsive, helpful and accommodating. We tried to get ahead but ended up stuck through the snow storm. In a panic I made the wrong reservation but without hesitation there was someone on the phone to ensure we safely arrived in the proper slip. Clean restrooms, friendly staff, laundry facilities, accessible trash area and even had a propane filling station. Walmart close by and near a plethora of places to eat…when not snowed in. Definitely recommend. Only advise: to consider not showering while laundry is in use - only due to low pressure and lack of control to fire and ice temperatures 😅 **this is Not a complaint, just to be aware**

The place was great! The bathhouse needed cleaning and supplies. There was no hot water in the shower. Other than that, we liked the play area for the children. During summer, the pool is a must!

Great place. Huge field with tins of open space. Nice neighbors. Adjoins another field with lots of different animals that my dog was amazed by. Heather stopped by to check on us and is very nice. I will definitely stay again.
