Weekend Trip to Ancient Spring Farm

This was my second time coming to this wonderful spot. Rebecca does everything right. Last time I came solo and this time I came with my partner and his very anxious little dog. It was the dogs first time camping and they did great. They both loved it as much as I do. Can't wait to come back again.

What a great experience. We set up our campervan on site 7, a big open field. Very quiet. The moon rising was breathtaking. In the morning we met Joy. She brought us carrots and introduced us to all the animals. AMAZING! Water easily accessible. Uwharrie only 15 minutes away. Fun hiking and mountain biking!

Wes and Caitlin were incredibly welcoming hosts! Their little country club is such a charming spot—peaceful, cozy, and full of character. We arrived pretty late, but the directions were super clear, and they thoughtfully left the lights on for us, which made settling in a breeze. We had a lovely stay and left feeling totally recharged and ready to hit the road again. Can’t wait to come back for a longer camping trip next time. Thank you both for the hospitality!

Site 5 was great, with easy access into the stream. We could see our neighbors to the left, but I imagine you might have more privacy when the trees are fuller. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will be back to check out some other sites in the future!

Weekend Trip to Bear Creek Tee-Pee Retreat

Staying in the Tee Pee was so much fun! There was no electricity ( which we knew in advance) no a hike to the bathroom/ shower making it feel like you were in the wilderness The weather was great , the host was available if needed Recommend bringing the little ones, they would have a great time

2 nights at Bear Creek Tee-Pee Retreat

So fun! Very responsive hosts and we had the place to ourselves. The movie night was magical and we had a lot of fun lounging in hammocks, exploring the campsites and playing board games at the picnic table. The rustic tent was comfortable and the shower was nice! They could use some new table umbrellas, and the walk to the porta potty might not be great for someone with more limited mobility, but we were fine! The place would be great for a small group to enjoy together as the picnic table and fire pit are near a nice sized field in between the tipis and the campsites.

We camped for one night on our drive north. It was a pretty spot by the pond. Bathhouse was a perk nice clean shower! We did not do the farm tour but I bet that would have been fun.

The site was beautiful! Me and my girlfriend had an amazing time! I will definitely be coming back! They have a shop with meats from their farm and a nice toilet, sink, and shower. Very nice people!

Beautiful last minute find! So glad we had the chance to stay at Saxapahaw Country Club—it’s a little hidden gem in a really cool part of central NC. The site was easy to find for setup. The space was very open and had beautiful sunrise and sunset views. The property is very well set up and maintained. The hammocks hanging between the pines overlooking the pond and the lambs/donkey was my favorite. Their pork is DELICIOUS. We met the owners and they are so sweet, and also very helpful/quick to respond to questions. We will definitely be back!

This was a wonderful place to stay for a peaceful getaway! The petting zoo was out of this world, and I could tell how loved and cared for all their animals are. I can’t wait to come back and potentially stargaze! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet spot to relax and sit by the creek.

Cheryl so kindly agreed to host our homeschool co-op for a day camping experience. She consistently provided helpful suggestions and updates. The campsite was the perfect place for young kids, especially with access to the shallow creek. The farm tour was an amazing opportunity for the kids to learn about God’s creation in a hands-on way. We all truly enjoyed ourselves!

WE LOVE OUR CAMPERS! ❤ Please respect our land by not bringing firewood from off-site and burning it here. We are a working farm that allows camping, not a campground. Our native trees and crops could easily be devastated by outside diseases or pests that are carried in firewood. We offer firewood for sale from our farm (delivered to your site for no additional fee). You do NOT have to purchase it prior to your arrival, just let us know how much you will need so we will have it ready for you. Our new CAMP STORE offers firewood (delivered to your site!) , meats and eggs from our farm, Tallow & lard (both rendered right here!), drinks, Amish made ice cream and jams/jellies/preserves, hammocks, hammock chairs, smoked dog bones, soaps (made right here), rentals of: cast iron cookware, a tent, Coleman stove, fishing poles, ... and MUCH MORE! Please note that all our sites are reserved with a one vehicle limit. Some sites are large enough to accommodate additional vehicles but each additional vehicle will incur a $10 per night charge. Once roamed by Native Americans and now farmed by the same family for over 6 generations, Harmon Creek Farm is a working farm of over 150+ acres. Peace, quiet, tranquility and privacy are overflowing along the creek, and hiking throughout the hills on the backside of the farm (and on the other side of the creek) leads to interesting and abundant flora and fauna. The stocked, spring fed pond is 'brimming" with angler challenges🎣 Our cows, pigs, sheep, donkeys, chickens, ducks, quail, and geese are all eager to meet you, as are we! The Saxapahaw Country Club is a beautiful 31-acre working farm and event space. Located just a few minutes from Saxapahaw Village, it's a convenient and gorgeous place to stay. While we are happy to be a late-night crash spot for after shows, we hope you stay a minute to walk the fields, hang in the hammocks, sit by the pond, or take a swing from the branches of our 200 year old White Oak tree. You'll come down our curvy driveway through the trees, and see our event barn on the left. In front of the barn is a communal space for campers to enjoy with a great view. This area has a fire pit, chairs, wood-fired grill, handwashing station, and farm table. Please note, this farm stay is an agritourism activity subject to the limit of liabilities as described in N.C.G.S § 99E‑32(b). We have sheep and pigs and a donkey rotating through pastures behind electric fencing. You are welcome to look but don't touch the fence! We also have 3 very friendly farm cats. Pork from the farm is available for purchase, as well as firewood. Bear Creek Tee-Pee Retreat is a small slice of paradise in Mocksville NC. We are the last property at the end of a dirt road surrounded by woods on all sides. We built this space as our little stay-cation spot and knew we had to share it. We are passionate about what we do and work hard to continue to build and grow and share this beautiful space for others to enjoy. We have 3 primitive sites and 2 authentic tee-pees. There is a bath house with a heated shower, and a port-a-john that is cleaned regularly. There are 2 picnic areas with charcoal grills. We have a 24x16 enclosed stage that can be used for bands, educational classes, karaoke, yoga... ect. There is also an outdoor movie theater that is available to rent for an evening. There are a few restaurants close by and we are only 6 miles from downtown Mocksville. There are a lot of wineries and breweries within a 30 min drive from our property. We are about 15 minutes from river access to the Yadkin river for anyone looking to Kayak. There are lots of local fishing holes and places to go horseback riding. We are about an hour drive to lots of different hiking trails from pilot mountain, and hanging rock to the blue ridge parkway. We have 2 dogs that live here and will greet you at the gate. Please be respectful of the neighbors and drive slowly down the dirt road to our property to limit dust. We look forward to hosting your camping get away.
