The Heart Center

9 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents30 acres · Robbinsville, NC
The Heart Center sits on 30 acres of beautiful forest land and it is surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest.  The place is an old school site that was literally left to be buried by the forest, until I came along and decided to fix it up, and create a holistic sanctuary for people wishing to get away from it all. A place where one can heal, contemplate, re-energize, and relax in a quiet and pristine environment. Feel secluded enough to experience your own inner stillness; and, yet, connected enough to enjoy many beautiful area attractions that are just minutes away such as: Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Fontana Dam and the Appalachian Trail, 20 Mile Ranger Station, Cherohala Skyway, and Santeetlah Lake! The Heart Center is about love, unity, harmony, joy and re-connecting with ourselves, others, and Mother Nature. At the Heart Center, we take special interest in providing our guests with a uniquely peaceful, positive, comfortable, and relaxing experience! Whether you are laying on a hammock, walking the labyrinth, or just sitting on the deck taking in the sights and sounds, we want you to enjoy.

Destination Outdoors! DO IT!

7 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents108 acres · Cullowhee, NC
Four years ago I purchased my dream retirement.... 108 acres in the beautiful college town of Cullowhee, NC. Nestled up to the Great Smoky Mountains National park, this property is unique in everything it offers. Riverside on the renowned fly fishing river, the Tuckasegee River, or ridge top on Cullowhee Mountain, elevation 3850'. There are improved camp sites, a yurt, or free range camping and hiking. The fall views are spectacular, wherever you decide to locate. We implement " Leave no trace" rules and welcome respectful 4wd access to our ridge top. We are currently endeavoring agroforestry techniques to respectfully harvest the bounties of the woodlands in our Living Mountain Farms online store. Our hope is to one day make this magical mountain sustain those who reside upon the reserve, and provide a most memorable stay for our guests!Destination Outdoors! DO IT!

Craving something different and unique? Experience the great outdoors with all the comforts of a cozy bed, hot water bathroom, and temperature-controlled air. With no WiFi (but excellent cell service), it's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Each of our rentals—2 Yurts and a Safari Tent—features its own private deck and glamped-out bathroom. Guests can also take advantage of our shared outdoor eating area, grill, and fire pit. Relax under the stars, and depending on the time of year, you might even catch a glimpse of the firefly extravaganza. We’re excited to share that our neighbors at Tri-County Racetrack—just 0.6 miles down the road—have officially reopened! On race nights, you might hear the distant rumble and roar of the action from your cozy yurt or tent. Some folks love the energy and excitement... others might prefer a quieter evening under the stars. Either way, we want you to know ahead of time so you can plan the stay that’s right for you. If you’re up for a night of dirt track fun, check out their schedule online. Let us know if you have any questions—we're here to help you create the experience you want.
