Weekend Trip to Stillhouse Creek Cabins
Lovely and peaceful! My partner and I both have *very* different ideas of camping and this spot was the magical blend of both worlds: It was perfect for me (who loves the peace and quiet, waking up to birdsong, relaxing on the patio in the trees, petting farm animals, disconnecting from my phone/society while reading a book or hiking in the woods) and my partner (who loves amenities, wifi, fridge, shower, TV, AC/heat, running water/shower, potable water). We both adored the hammock and the hot tub. We will be back! 💙

The cabin was a perfect getaway weekend for my husband and I (and our dog). It was 20 degrees outside the nights we stayed, but the cabin was warm and cozy with everything we needed. We loved hiking up to the tower and having a campfire at night. The hot tub was the best part! Stone Mountain Park is a short drive away and is one of the best parks in N.C. highly recommend!!

Grandfather Mountain (elevation 5,946 feet) is one of the highest peaks in the Blue Ridge Mountain range, offering rugged terrain and breathtaking vistas. Grandfather is a nationally recognized nature preserve and home to the Mile High Swinging Bridge. Roan Mountain (elevation 6,286 feet) boasts the world's largest naturally growing rhododendron garden with over 600 acres of blooming catawba rhododendron!
