My property consists of a ridge running east to west with the access road running along the south border. the land slopes up to the ridge for about 300 feet, and then down to the river for about 800 feet. The south side of the ridge has a small pond close to the road. The rest is pasture, and an orchard and small vineyard. The north side of the ridge is old growth timber, and shady and cool. The two cabins are along the river. One is perched on a ridge over looking the river and the other is right on the river. The swimming hole is 30 feet from the lower cabin. There is room for a couple campsites along the river also. The south side of the ridge was a cotton farm decades ago, but was covered in timber when I bought it 12 years ago. The north side has been in timber for the known history of the property.

If you're looking for fancy, bells and whistles this isn't for you. If you're looking for privacy, peace and serenity in a rustic cabin then you found it. The cabin is small but cozy. The cabin does have hot water, but only for a couple minutes. It has a decent size sink in the kitchen. The bathroom is tiny and not for the costraphibic, but it's nice having something indoors. There also an outhouse. Adin offers heat for an extra fee if you ask. We didn't use it, it was chilly at night, but still warmer than tent camping. The rd to the cabin in narrow and a little steep, but we made it in and out with two wheel drive. The property terrain itself is pretty rugged and steep(sometimes slippery) with cliffs. I would say younger children need good supervision venturing if you bring them and it wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues. If you have children I would bring a baby gate for the upstairs loft, as it's an open entrance and exit at the ladder stairs, which are steep. Room for extra tents in site. There's tons of deck space here with three decks and amazing views from the top. The sounds of the rapids and the frogs are so serene. The river is beautiful and clear with plenty of room. There's also some trails on the property. Sadly you can see some of the damage caused by flooding from the hurricane. Our little family enjoyed our stay here. Adin and his wife were kind and helpful. What a blessing to own a beautiful piece of paradise. Thank you for sharing it.

My family & I loved Adin’s cabin. It was perfect for us to escape the fast city life for the weekend. We walked the creek bank, searched for worms, tried fishing.. but had no luck. Mr. Adin said Helene had taken most of the fish. The water was crystal clear, & the sound of the water moving had me mesmerized. The kids enjoyed watching movies upstairs in the loft, & they had plenty to keep them busy. We can’t wait to come back in the Summer. Thanks again Adin for having us! The Turner Family 🥰

The property was really a great location for our group that were overall new to camping with amenities nearby to pickup groceries or go to a diner when needed! We really enjoyed taking turns on the row boat, and playing card games and monopoly in the cabin area at night. The campsite felt really private, but there was some barking from dogs nearby at night, and sometimes gunshots.
Alex, the owner, was very responsive and helpful in finding local activities and resolving any issues we had during the stay!

Absolutely loved it. Perfect place to get away. Awesome creepy “Cabin in the Woods” vibes. When the sun went down the night came alive. We watched Evil Dead 2 in the cabin. This was an amazing trip. I will be booking this exact spot again. Love it!!!

We loved the area and the privacy. Very simple in the best way. Brought back a simpler time with out electronics and was able to be in the moment. Loved the VHS collection and being a late 80s kid brought back memories. Highly recommend and will be back

If your idea of the perfect vaca includes absolute solitude as you float in a river only hearing the sounds of nature, this is the place for you. It has multiple decks, a loft bedroom with a queen bed and window AC, and a daybed downstairs. Our large dog couldn’t get up and the stairs to the loft (the smaller one had no problem) which wasn’t an issue for us, but I know some dogs would make it your problem. We were able to keep the doors open allowing the dogs freedom to go in and out as they pleased without worrying about any neighbors. There were interesting trails to explore on the property.
If you are the sort that prefers glamping, paved driveways, and hot tubs, this isn’t your place. If you want a little slice of heaven in nature, it fits the bill. To us it was perfection and we will definitely be back.

Definitely rustic. But that’s what we wanted. 4 adults and 4 dogs. We were only inside to sleep. The creek was great. And the host was great, really friendly!! We hiked at south mountain, which was great. We kayaked in the creek and paddled boarded, but if the water was lower this wouldn’t have been possible. Bonfires and great food with family. Dogs stayed in the creek more than on shore. Really Small indoor space, but plenty of space outside.

Weekend Trip to Adin`s river cabin
It’s not the Ritz, but it’s not the Spitz”—Adin’s words when he welcomed us to this peaceful, private, camping the easy way, river escape. Total privacy the whole stay—we floated, relaxed, and never saw another soul, even with a campground down the road.
We drove a front-wheel-drive truck with no issues, though after rain, the private entry turned to Carolina mus, so we used Adin’s driveway instead with no problem.
Becky’s store to the right has snacks and firewood (no alcohol); Polkville to the left has groceries and drinks.

Host Aiden showed me to the cabin when I arrived and responded to all my questions.
The cabin, albeit rustic had a certain charm to it.
The deck by the river was the highlight of my stay as I was able to relax with a book and watch my dog Obie swim in the river.
The host sent me a message the next morning asking if we were okay, I so appreciated the check in.
On my way out, my car got stuck due to my fault, Host Aiden quickly came to my rescue to help me get my car out of the mud, so thankful.
I enjoyed the serenity of the area, walking around the property with my dog.

I had a wonderful experience at Adin’s River Cabin. Met him at check in and he showed me around the cabin. Had some great suggestions for where to hike with my dog. The cabin was peaceful and very quiet. Adin made sure my visit was just what I needed. I got the chance to meet his lovely wife and I had a wonderful conversation with them as I was leaving. I will definitely be back!

We loved it! Amazing spot for our dog to roam, lovely but short trail around the lake, a little row boat we didn't use but would have been a fun little adventure - we set our tent up inside because the windows are wide open so just to keep bugs off us though we didn't notice many the night we were there - great experience especially for the price!
We were tenting and it was calling for a thunderstorm and we couldn't have asked for a better spot to watch watch the rain come down and listen to it on the tin roof!
