We are a family farm. Established in the 1970s we have lots of local wildlife and water fowl. We have chickens. A lake that is stocked with catfish,brim and bass .
The sunsets are incredible. And when the full moon is over the pond it is an amazing sight. You can relax here by the pond or venture out to explore historic down town New Bern ,or head the the beach located in Morehead, Swansboro, and the surrounding areas. Check the local Restaurants and the local shops as well. Throughout the year we are surrounded by many different festivals as well.
You can listen to the crickets and the birds chirping, and watch the squirrel as they jump and run from tree to tree. We are close to the beaches and are in close proximity of the National Forrest as well. And there are quite a few golf courses near to us as well.

Welcome to our cozy A-frame cabin where you can enjoy nature while being close to downtown Oriental. Minutes from the village, this private and quiet camper’s cabin has a unique wing-wall feature that allows nearly all seasons stay.
Enjoy a quick stay or have a few guests tent camp with you on the property. Sailors and hunters have just a short drive to all your local interest while enjoying complete privacy while you stay.
The cabin is a new build and it offers a full sized bed with a comfy mattress, a coffee bar that includes: water kettle, french press, coffee, & tea, an electric heater that helps to take the edge off in the colder nights and a big fan for the warmer months.
Even thou the cabin allows only 2 people to sleep in it, we have a designated tent area that allows more guests to bring their tent and enjoy the camp site. There is a four person tent under the bed for use if needed. Please clean and stow tent back the way you found it when done.
Electricity is available, just be mindful of high voltage items while heater is running. NO bed linens and pillows provided. The wing-wall has an easy mechanism of opening and closing; use the cleat on the pole to tie it up. Be mindful of its weight and assist it with your hand as you pull it up.

This farm has been in the Harris family since 1872. Civil War veteran Haywood Harris bought 300 acres from the Bell family for 300 silver dollars and began tapping the pine for pitch and turpentine for naval stores and shipbuilding.
From 1899 to 1933, it served as a sawmill site.
The hurricane of 1933 destroyed the steam-operated mill. Farming operations began, including tobacco, row crops, orchards, animals, shrimping, and winter logging. Today, the fifth generation has turned it into a hay farm.
The tobacco barn was rescued and remodeled into a cozy cabin using many of the old tobacco sticks and tier poles in the construction. Down on the shore of Clubfoot Creek are a gazebo and dock, just right for a lazy day of fishing.

Stayed in the tiny home on Rizwan’s land and it was awesome! It was a beautiful view right on the water. We had plenty to do and we certainly took advantage of that. We started off by kayaking, switched to the paddle boat, fishing, and then finished off with making s’mores by the fire. We ended the night grilling some steak and potatoes inside of the kitchen area. So peaceful and a much needed get away.

We didn’t get lucky in the weather dept, but it was still a very nice get-away for the family.
Word to the wise - invest in bug spray; the mosquitos have no mercy!
We look forward to returning though (hopefully with better weather)!

Rizwan's place is quite beautiful, down to earth, and has room to explore! The type of feels I enjoy! I could truly see all the hard work, love, and attention that has been put into the accommodations.
Any questions were answered pleasantly and promptly. I slept well and had fun hanging around the property and look forward to coming back again and seeing what's new! I really enjoyed the details like the communal kitchen, docks with fishing poles/tackle, PFDs (lifejackets), and especially the various watercraft you could use.
We may not be the best fisherfolk, but my dog and I had a great time attempting to fish on the paddleboat, while watching the pelicans, osprey, and eagles dive into the water around us. (2 thumbs and paws up)

This host communicated with excellent response times and even called to check on me while i was running late ( from kayak fishing til dark ) on the way to his lodging ! The entire rental lodgings were made to look & feel like a outdoor camp or retreat being it was along a pristine tidewater creek. The experience was just so friendly and Rizwan gave me the impression i was a welcome and appreciated guest. Definitely a great value & look forward to another stay at Serenity . thx Bluejay fan !

Weekend Trip to Serenity
We had an amazing time! The RV was beautiful! It had everything you might need. You could bring your clothes and food and you'd be all set! The screened in deck was perfect!! We spent our time playing cards on our deck, cooking food, fishing from the floating dock, taking out the paddle boat and fishing from it, (there are also kayaks available) star gazing in the provided zero gravity chairs, and napping. Riz, the host, was a super cool guy!! A couple of the days there were a couple different campers nearby, yet it was still so quiet and felt private. We can't wait to come back! We plan to bring my boyfriends 14 year old son and his friend and we will rent the tent on the water for them, and the rv for us! They will love it!! Thank you Riz for an amazing stay your property you have built is impressive to say the least!

The Cozy A Frame lived up to its name for me during my solo senior kayak fishing trip to Oriental and the Neuse river. The little A frame gave me a neat little place to relax at night and watch the fire pit thru the clear side of the A frame. The high fenced in area was safe and plenty of room. The short drive into Oriental made this convenient . Thanks Travis !
