About the Trials Riding: We host 6 Mototrial events each season (see below) and if spectating appeals, you can plan your trip to coincide. You're in for a treat if you've never seen these nimble motorcycles do their 'thing'... up, over, and around the obstacles. Events are busy and exciting, but no worries (!) trials bikes are not loud. Riders are friendly and considerate. If spectating is not your thing- no worries either. Non-event days are very laid back. On any given day if Trials riders come here for practice (or instruction with Mike) it's not loud or invasive, nor interferes with any camper training or play on the course. When riders are here (barring events), it's typically only 2-4 riders at a time. Multiple activities co-exist quite nicely here as there is plenty of room for all. The vintage camper is located behind our barn in the backyard. We consider it mostly private. We have quiet neighbors and undeveloped acreage behind our property. There are hiking trails steps from the camper as well as the Farash Center for Observational Astronomy. This is an eco-friendly camper, and we spared no expense in the renovation. It's fully hooked up with hot water, electricity, and wifi. The back bedroom mattresses and kitchen benches are made from organic and non-toxic materials. The kitchen bench and table transform into an additional sleeping space for one adult or 2 small kids. There is a top-of-the-line OGO composting toilet. Research it online so you know all about it. The camper has a wet bath shower with hot water. You will likely see us working in the gardens on weekends and occasionally in the evenings after work. We love to share and will offer you fresh garden veggies and flowers when they're in abundance...which is often. You will experience starry nights and birdsong mornings. It's truly an incredible space. Feel free to have a bonfire in the backyard pit or use the portable fire pit outside the camper. We'll have plenty of wood for you. There is so much to do in the Finger Lakes Region of New York, and we have a ton of suggestions for you. Just ask, and we're happy to share, based on your preferences.

Weekend Trip to Seneca Lake Brewing/The Beerocracy

Bradley’s camp was wonderful!!! We arrived and had amazing English pot pies and beer. Then went to the campsite where there was a nice tent with a comfy bed. There were lots of oil lamps (bring oil) and a fire pit (bring wood). It was great!!! I highly recommend!!!! Everyone was very nice, great communication!!!

Thanks for having us!! I must say your cabin was perfect! Secluded and no neighbors, much room for the dogs to run on your private, well maintained property! The cabin was extremelyclean and spacious. The wifi worked great and the big TV came in handy for the rainy day. We couldn't have asked for a cozier place to stay. This was my second time staying at the little barn on the hill and my first solo trip there. It was a rainy autumn afternoon when I showed up but perfectly cozy inside the hayloft, where I set up my hammock. Laurel got me acquainted with the many new amenities, as they seem to always be making wonderful upgrades to the property. Mike and Laurel's land is the perfect place for me to go when I don't want the hassle of setting up my tent and want a wall and roof and a little electricity. To a tenter, this is a luxurious paradise and I can't wait to return.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cabin! The space was spotless and very well maintained — everything felt clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It was the perfect spot to relax and visit with family, with plenty of room to gather and enjoy time together. The location was great — easy to find right off the highway, yet peaceful and quiet once we arrived. It’s also just a short drive to the Finger Lakes, making it a convenient home base for exploring the area. We truly enjoyed our stay the past three years and look forward to our next visit!

Weekend Trip to The Spotted Sandpiper

Spent 3 nights in Glamp 1 in October of 2025. It was 40s at night and rained 2 of the nights, but we stayed warm with the heater (and an electric blanket we brought)! It was dry inside the tent despite the rain. Area is beautiful. Due to weather, didn't spend any time on the lake, but did make use of the shower areas, which worked well - hot water and shower/bathroom walkable from Glamp 1. Kate answered all questions before and during the stay. Shampoo/conditioner and towels provided. Great affordable glamping experience!!

3 nights at Tequila Sunrise: Lakeside Casitas

Great location right on Cayuga Lake for a long weekend getaway! Beautiful and private setting, friendly and thoughtful host! We would absolutely visit again! Las Casitas are comfortable, clean, and cozy - and literally steps to the water! Though we stayed for a few days in October when it was too chilly to go into the lake, this is an ideal spot to swim or drop in a kayak. Susan was a great host and checked in to make sure we had all that we needed! We brought our camping cooking gear to supplement what the cabin offers. Sitting by the Solo stove campfire at night was relaxing, and the porch is a perfect spot for morning coffee! The bed was so comfortable, and a small electric heater that was provided worked well to keep us warm when the temperature dipped lower overnight. Also, we had never used an incinerating toilet before - no issues, easy to use! This spot is private (close to Susan’s cabin but separated by trees) and quiet, while also close to everything the area has to offer - specifically state parks with amazing waterfall hiking (Taughannock is a quick 5 minute drive south, while Buttermilk Falls and Treman are 15-20 minutes south), and cideries and wineries (don’t miss the incredible Finger Lakes Cider House, just 10 minutes north). Likewise, it’s just up the road from Trumansburg and about 15 minutes into Ithaca for more amenities. Thanks again, Susan!

Staying at Mike’s and Laurel’s property was an amazing getaway! Close to great food and cute towns, less than 5 minutes from an amazing state park, and less than a half an hour away from Ithaca and some of the finger lakes! We also had an absolute riding Trial Motorcycles for the first time! I recommend the scavenger hunt to get familiar with the property and the Trial biking course. Looking forward to our next stay!

Weekend Trip to Tryals Park Camp & Obstacle Course

Came again for Obstacle Course (see July review-tent at Hilltop). Great training with my border collie. My gal brought mountain bike this time to play. A good time for all. Highly recommend for training and fun to walk in evenings. First time renting Barn was awesome, just as described-better even. Several steps up from tent but still open-air. Thought about plugging in space heater (provided) but decided we didn't want to close up loft. Really nice at night. We were cozy enough in our sleeping bags just like our tent-but with futon mattress underneath us-and dry. Location near Rt. 38 wasn't issue for road noise for us. Description spot on about traffic 'not obnoxious' and I think muffled some by hillside trees too. Any traffic heard from road--just went along in a gentle rhythm -- like everything else here. Hosts are super accommodating in every way. Old school people who are there when you need 'em and leave you alone when you don't. The only possible drawback was being asked not to eat inside Barn. I'm a crackers-in-bed kinda guy- but I understand it- and appreciate what the Hosts do to keep critters and bugs out of Barn. Likely it ain't easy in this country setting- so no problem. The weather was a little damp outside but we built fire in the fire bowl and enjoyed warm supper just fine. It IS camping after all (!) my girl reminded me. Our dog of course was fine with the outside eating rule. Will be back again (and again) great place great hosts.

Mike and Laurel are awesome hosts. Great dark place for star gazing. I was up looking at late looking at the Milky Way. You Cant see that near a city. The cabin/shed was cool. Everything you need even a small fridge, flash light, water, outdoor faucet, sun heated shower and a place to charge phone. The outside looks like a resort. Got to see a green heron. Dont know about the WiFi but had great cell service. Don’t pass this by if you’re a camper. Way better than putting up a tent.

We loved glamping at Spotted Sandpiper! We had all of the necessities and more at our tent site. You can’t beat the view of Lake Cayuga—we loved going down to the dock for sunset every night. It’s also very close to Taughannock State Park and a short drive from Ithaca.

We stayed in The Loon cabin. It was super cute and nice. Simple necessities with all bases covered. The property was so large and had shoreline and wooded and field walking so we never even needed to leave to walk the dogs. We came AFTER kids camp season and we will be back! Only a half hour drive to CMAC! Bryan was easy to reach and quick to respond.

The Heron cabin was great. Each of the 3 bedrooms had a heater and fan. The common area got chilly overnight but the bedroom stayed comfortable with the door closed. The grounds were great and our dog loved exploring. The views of the lake were spectacular and it was so peaceful sitting out on the dock. We already can’t wait to go back and take advantage of the pool, and use a kayak or canoe. One thing to note is there is no outside lock on the cabin, though we totally felt our belongings were safe when we left during the day.

Bryan was incredibly kind, accommodating, and responsive. We rented the Hawk for 2 nights and it was perfect for our family of 4. The screened in porch is great for eating meals and playing cards. We enjoyed canoeing on the lake, and fishing on the pond. They have a very nice dock with Adirondack chairs to enjoy the lake- about 5 minutes from the cabin. They do have a pool, but it was too chilly for us to use it. No need to bring a grill or camping chairs. They have benches outside around the campfire. Also included was hand soap, dish soap, tissue, paper towels, grilling tools, microwave, toaster oven, decent sized fridge with freezer, and a fan. It has a nice rustic feel with the comforts of running water/toilet/shower. We would definitely come back!
