The best cabin rentals near New Hartford, New York with fishing

The Farmhand Cabin was just what I was looking for...a quiet warm, welcoming place, peaceful and relaxing. The cabin has all you need for a quiet get-away. Sitting on the porch drinking my morning coffee taking the view, watching the horses in their field, was the perfect start to my day. I loved wandering around the farm, visiting the animals, particularly the horses and goats. It was different experience each time, depending on time of day. Just hanging around the gate watching the horses. goats and chickens was delightful. I was fascinated by the livestock guardian dogs. They take their job seriously. Going through the horse field gate with Denise and meeting the horses and all the goats - and the guardian dog (who proceeded to sniff and allowed me to stay, while keeping a watchful eye out) - was an experience I'll never forget. I fell in love with Kevin, a retired NYC Central Park Carriage horse. Petting the horses, expecially Kevin's velvet nose was really a highlight for me. Farm noises - animal and tractors - day and night, just faded into background noise. Evenings were spent by the brook and campfire, soothing and beautiful. I have traveled a lot - camping and sightseeing - this Farmhand Cabin long weekend ranks at the top of all vacations. I enjoyed every minute and look forward to returning next year! Karl was an amazing host! My partner and I stayed here for a bike trip through the Adirondacks and Karl accommodated all of our needs and requests. The space was clean, welcoming, comfortable and I’ll definitely book another stay!

Great peaceful stay in a rustic cabin. Karl was very friendly and greeted me even though it was quite late. It was a little hard to find the place in the dark because he doesn't have an exact address, but there is a traffic cone marked HipCamp at the end of their driveway that was very helpful. Nice clean space and kind attention to detail of showing me how things worked and making sure I was all set. Their cabin being close felt nice as a solo traveler, but I imagine couples looking for a romantic stay might hope for more distance from their main cabin. I was comforted by the sounds of their watchdog and the stars were beautiful. If you're sensitive to laundry detergents with fragrance I would bring your own blanket to block that from getting on your clothing from the sheets.

Weekend Trip to Reflections Homestead

Karl is such a wonderful host, one of the kindest people I've met! The cabin was perfect, in an isolated spot, but still close enough to civilization if there was an emergency. It was cozy and had a ton of supplies like pots and pans, garbage bags, plastic cutlery, paper towels, a wash bucket. I appreciated the camp stove too! The fire pit was great and there was firewood there, along with kindling. The outhouse was super clean. Karl and I sat for a bit (after checking on me I invited him to, otherwise he gives you plenty of space!) and had an interesting conversation about life, which was great. There were also some barred owls at night, and he knew how to call to them. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Thanks for your hospitality Karl! 10/10 recommendation

Weekend Trip to Hemlock Cabin

We spent two nights at this magical little house, and I think it’s the first time I’ve truly missed a place after leaving. Everything was thoughtfully crafted — you can feel the love and talent of the people who built it with their own hands. From the smallest kitchen details to the balcony overlooking the creek, and the shower with a floor-to-ceiling window facing the forest — it’s all just perfect. A huge thank you to the hosts for creating such a cozy and welcoming space. We’ll definitely be back! 💚💚💚

2 nights at Catskills Farmhand Cabin

Cozy little cabin next to a little creek with many amenities provided! Had a lovely time walking around the property and seeing the animals on the farm. Would definitely recommend for a small get away. Unfortunately we didnt plan the trip further ahead of time to sign up for the farm programs they offer but I'm sure it would be a great experience as the host was very kind and welcoming.

The property is beautiful and the hosts were super hospitable, showed us around, gave recommendations about local food options and hikes, and offered us coffee in the morning. We stayed in the en-suite cabin and it’s small yet had small fridge and tv. Bed was comfortable and we appreciated how clean and unscented everything was.
