What a wonderful camping experience! You will not find more gracious hosts than Steve and Ann. Their land is beautiful, and you can see how thoughtfully and intentionally they manage it. Steve was kind enough to share about his mushroom operation, which was fascinating for everyone, including our four-year-old. Our experience was peaceful, relaxing, and inspiring. We hope to return to Hawk Meadow someday soon, and we will never forget our experience there!

My group and I loved camping at Camp Whitman in the cabins. The cabin was spacious and came equipped with space heaters in every room. These became a necessity because of the unpredictably cold weather while we were there. The property is near plenty of wineries and breweries and offers the ability walk down to the lake for a picturesque view. I would gladly recommend this camping locations to friends looking to camp around Seneca Lake.

Waterfall Creek

This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. Me and my two young kids and grandmother live at the farm . We raise pastured angus beef, grain, hay and vegetables. We can also provide campers with fresh beef and sometimes eggs.Learn more about this land: Enjoy peace, nature, and agriculture while overlooking your own private lake. 500 contiguous acres to explore on this working farm that has been in the family since 1797. We are a small family farm that has a hidden lake and 100 year old orchard at which camping provides privacy and freedom while still being a short walk or drive to amenities. Someone will always be at the main house about 3/4 of a mile away for any of your needs. Most of the time cars or r.v.s can manage the gravel and dirt road back to the campsite, assistance or a truck will be provided if a large rain storm might occur during your stay. We are just a mile north of Seneca lake providing easy access to Geneva and the many wine trails. this is basic camping area with no hookups but an electric generator is available. When visiting the Seneca Lake area of the Finger Lakes region, nature lovers, race enthusiasts, wine and beer lovers, and vacationers alike will discover authentic charm in one of a kind log cabins. Originally built in the 1920's for early visitors, the Rustic Log Cabins are one of the oldest lodging establishments in the area. All four of our cabins have a great farmers porch on which to relax and enjoy your favorite local wine or beer and watch gorgeous sunsets over Seneca Lake. Afterwards sit by your own fire pit and enjoy a quiet and starry evening - a feature of cabin life that our guests tell us brings them back year after year. The cabins are situated on three beautiful park-like acres with plenty of room for games of all kinds. The view from the grounds takes in an apple orchard, rolling vineyards and Seneca Lake - a perfect setting for a small wedding or reunion if you rent all four cabins. Built of whole pine logs all four are spacious one-room cabins with electricity, hardwood floors and stone fireplaces. The cabins are equipped with table, chairs, comfortable beds, dressers, stove and fridge. Two of the cabins will accommodate three persons and the other two will accommodate up to 6 people. A Bath House in the center of the campsite is convenient to all four cabins and contains a separate mens and women section with showers, toilets and sinks. Guests are encouraged to provide their own towels and bed linens to avoid per bed linen fee. The Rustic Log Cabins are located on the east side of Seneca Lake on Route 414 in the town of Hector. We are central to the Finger Lakes National Forest, wineries & breweries, Watkins Glen State Park and also the towns of Corning, Geneva, Ithaca, Seneca Falls and Hammondsport NY. We are open May through October.

You will see deer, geese, hawks, eagles and other wildlife. Black Leaf Campground is 40 acres located in the beautiful Southern Tier Region. We offer for rent a cozy cabin and four tent sites. All sites will give you privacy and parking space on site for 1-2 vehicles. Each site is equipped with a fire ring, picnic table, garbage can and firewood that is available for purchase. Many of our sites offer you use of electric and a water (non potable) spigot. The sites are good for Tent or Car camping. We offer flush toilets and large shower rooms with hot water and also a deep sink for camping cleanup. We have a large communal pavilion and fire pit to share with other campers and 9 baskets for a game of Frisbee golf. You are welcome to fish in the stocked pond where we offer a paddle boat and kayak, life jackets are also provided and required to be worn when on the water. Fishing is catch and release.

Welcome to Hemlock Hollow! Located just 2 miles north of the historic village of Watkins Glen. It is also at the very start of the Finger Lakes Wine trail on the West side of stunning Seneca Lake! We have two cozy cabins available. Each one room cabin can accommodate up to four guests. Inside you will find a set of bunk beds, a fold out futon, a dresser and a corner table. Linens for the beds and towels are also provided. We rent the cabins separately or together as a package. Each large cabin site is equipped with a fire ring for hot dog roasting and s'more making! Fire wood is available for purchase. There is also a propane camp stove at each cabin and a percolator coffee pot. An 8 foot picnic table and two out door chairs with a small table on the porch are also included, perfect for that morning cup of coffee or afternoon glass of wine. We also supply a few frying pans and utensils for communal use. The property itself is very quiet and secluded with a creek that runs through. There is NO ELECTRICITY in the cabins or Bath House, but some solar lighting through out the cabins and Bath House.

The cabins, cottage, tent sites & trails are very private and secluded. Each site has its own private entrance. There is approximately 10 miles of professionally groomed, maintained trails for guests to share for recreational purposes. The trails are marked and 10-15' wide. They range in difficulty. The southern section of the property ascends abruptly from 2050'-2250'. The northern range is less abrupt. It has been my passion & a genuine labor of love to keep this environment as pristine as possible. My ultimate goal is to be able to provide a place for man to be nurtured, where nature & wildlife will thrive, always striving to keep the environment as pristine & serene as possible. Truly a unique balance. Due to this balance, occupancy is limited. Small groups are welcome (contact us for pricing.) Ample parking & private picnic areas are also provided. No hunting, fishing or foraging allowed.
