Situated in the heart of the Finger Lakes, Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake has been in operation since 1954 as a small non-profit summer camp and retreat facility. We enjoy welcoming people from around the world to our little camp community!
Our site includes nearly 120 scenic acres with a seasonal brook, hiking trails, fishing pond, an organic vegetable garden, a labyrinth, and excellent birding opportunities - all overlooking Seneca Lake. We are located half way between historic Geneva, NY and Watkins Glen, NY with the iconic state park and international speedway.
Our site offers a wide range of accommodations including 4 quaint cottages that accommodate 4-6 guests. All with kitchenettes, full private bath, fire ring, picnic table and BBQ grill.
Additionally, we offer a bunkhouse for your large family or youth group, and smaller summer camp cabins that sleep 4 each. A central shower house is a short walk away, with each cabin site having its own porta-potty and handwashing station.
If tent camping is your style, we have several sites off the beaten path that we can recommend for your more secluded camping experience. COMING SOON! We will have 6 RV sites with full hook-ups for those who would like to bring their own rig!
Again, our property features a swimming pool, hiking trails, a small organic garden and activities such as archery, boating and more for guests. Many of these activities require staff to facilitate, so please make your actvity requests well in advance!

Robinia in Glenwood is a working homestead located on 24 acres of mostly forested land. The predominant species in the mixed hardwood forests are Robinia Pseudoacacia (Black locust) and Black Walnut. There are places on the land and a short walk away along DuBois and Glenwood Heights Roads where there are wonderful views of Cayuga Lake. It is less than a mile walk or ride to the Black Diamond Trail, a hiking and biking trail that extends four+ miles North to Taughannock Falls State Park and four+ miles South to Cass Park, the Ithaca Children's Garden, and the City of Ithaca Municipal Pool. And all of downtown Ithaca. Hundreds of adjacent (although not accessible) acres are wildlife preserves, abandoned orchards, and a working honey bee and bison farm. Bathroom and hot showers available in the house, included in price, indoor kitchen and an on-site enclosed porch space for rainy days available for separate fee. Gardening, produce and flower-picking can be arranged on-site in season. Within biking distance of Finger Lakes National Forest in Hector. Located half-way between Ithaca and Trumansburg, down a long driveway. Amazingly quiet and private.

In the 1960s, Llewellyn's love for aviation led him to construct a small airstrip and hangar, and then his son Terry began to plant Christmas Trees (no more cows) and clear much of the land. Only spent one night here but I would come back! Great location, super close to the finger lakes. The staff was super friendly, they upgraded my stay and moved me closer to the exit because they knew it was a better site and it was empty that night. Check in was super simple and there was even live music playing at the gazebo in the evening. The ‘locals’ were super friendly too, we walked around at night and everyone was up and hanging out and one asked if we needed help finding our site. Would recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Towner's Country Retreat! We were at tent site 1, which was perfectly secluded but not too far from the outhouse. The firepit was clean and the wood we purchased from Scott was cut perfectly and well dried. The creek was peaceful to watch and listen to, and we heard a great variety of birds. I definitely agree with others that 4W/AWD is best, as the road in and out of the tent sites can be very windy and slippery. Unfortunately we didn't get to do any wading or swimming because of the weather, but we'll be back sometime soon!

Depending on the site there are views of the lake. Sound from other campers was drowned out by the lake, even though the sites are pretty close together (like a typical state park). Beats any state park nearby by being so close to the water, and at a comparable price. Bathrooms were shockingly nice, although multiple showers and one toilet stall is an odd choice. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

We stayed at this campground during the Finger Lakes Rally and couldn’t have picked a better home base. Our site was well-placed — easy access without feeling crowded, and just a short walk to everything we needed. The facilities were spotless the entire time we were there, which made a big difference after long rally days.
What really stood out was the staff. They were fantastic to work with from check-in to check-out, quick to help and genuinely friendly. Made the whole trip feel effortless.
Highly recommend this campground for anyone coming out for the rally or just looking for a clean, well-run spot in the Finger Lakes area. We’ll definitely be back!

There are three separate sites at this location, we have stayed at site 2 multiple times and this was our first time at site 3. As with other stays everything was tidy when we arrived, the privy is kept fairly well. The sites are just a short walk from the most breathtaking waterfalls and a lovely Creek Walk that goes on for more than a mile. My kids and dog were extremely happy with our trip, even with a 7-hour rainstorm one of our days. We will definitely be back!

The site was wonderful! We especially enjoyed boating on the pond, riding around in the golf cart to explore the property, and visiting the waterfall. If we are able to visit again, we'll definitely plan to bring lots of lanterns for the cloudy/rainy times without electricity. The cabin was comfortable with a well-functioning kitchen and it was a very relaxing visit.

We had a wonderful time staying in one of the cabins with our grandson. Everyone that worked there was very friendly, responsive and helpful. Our cabin was nice and clean. It was great to be able to visit the animals in the barn and learn about them. The cabins do have electricity including heat and AC. We highly recommend this campground.

Tent camping with Krys was wonderful! She was very accommodating and a gracious host. The facilites and equipment provided were lovely and made the stay much easier. Right near the hub of Ithaca, but close to major hiking hotspots. And absolute must stay!
