While I didn’t get the chance to meet Nicole in person, I had a great conversation with David, who was incredibly accommodating and down-to-earth. He made me feel right at home (away from home). What a great place to get away! The Farm was the perfect combo of “roughing” it and glamping! Check in included a nice tour of everything there. The farmhouse has two full bathrooms (one with a clawfoot tub) and a kitchenette. There are lots of places on property to hang. They had bonfires both nights (I was too tired to join in.) The birdhouse Cabin didn’t have any power because the storm had knocked it out l, but they supplied a battery powered fan, and two Lanterns. There isn’t a lot of ventilation in the cabin, so the fan was a life saver. I would 100% bring my family next time!

If you want the human experience this is your place. Also the dog experience, the cat experience, the chicken experience and the nature experience. Just come here. It smells wonderful. It’s peaceful and energetic at the same time. Benjamin and Ashley have curated a farm/camp/retreat that is perfect for taking that deep breath we all need to reset course. Since we didn’t bring camping gear we stayed in the ensuite and it was very cozy and comfortable. Ensuite is a great name since the bath/dreyyssing area is larger than the sleeping area. Oh and there’s a ballet bar in the room so you can keep up with your stretching. No AC but even with the high July temps the fan kept us cool and comfy. You can have privacy if you like or take part in a communal atmosphere. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and generous. We so enjoyed getting to know them and hope to see them again soon!

The place is really nice and clean. Barb and Jim are very welcoming and my dogs had lots of space to roam. There is some kind of plumbing cabinet across from the bed and water started flowing through at 1:30 am which woke me up since it was very noisy. I had to leave early the next morning so I didn't have time to ask them what happened. Maybe they had a dishwasher on a timer or sprinklers but I suggest you inquire about this if you're a light sleeper.

What an unbelievable experience! We went for the solar eclipse, such a perfect spot to see totality. The cabin was so homey and lovely. It was made of cedar so its scent was perfect. At night it got a little cold, so the wood stove was needed. The hosts provided everything we needs: firewood, eggs, coffee, tea, and even a cooler! The cabin had everything we needed too, a fan, plates, cooking utensils, etc. a lovely experience, we can’t wait to go back!

This was such a lovely experience! I stayed for one night with a few friends for the eclipse in the Rustic Tiny Home Cabin - it was very comfortable and cozy! Nicole was a fantastic host and even helped get my car out of the mud when I first arrived. She hosted an Eclipse party that we went to as well, which was a ton of fun and really added up to an incredibly memorable experience! Better Farms is a six hour drive from Boston but I would absolutely make it again, and hope I get a chance to visit in the future!
