IMPORTANT: We are up 1.3 miles of dirt road (with 5-7+% grade in a few short stretches) and are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle! Hiking, biking and horseback riding are available in the Cerrillos Hills Park just a mile away. There's even a nice arroyo trail to take you to the Galisteo River riparian area just feet from the hogan door. We even have a horse barn, round pen and a couple acres of fenced desert. We just said farewell to our last horse who was 30 years old, so we also offer room for your horses if you are traveling with them. A $25 per horse fee will be charged per day. Bring your own feed, please. The property includes a round 350 square foot straw bale structure with a queen size bed, reading nook (which can also suffice for a second (twin sized) bed for a 3rd person). There is A/C and an electric 'wood stove' for heat. The kitchen includes instant hot water and everything to prepare a meal (you bring the food). Amazing 360 degree views from the rooftop include the Sangre de Cristo, Sandia and Jemez Mountain ranges. The outhouse is fully equipped (even heated in the winter months), super clean and just 25 feet from the door. This A-frame was quite an interesting drive from Santa Fe. I don’t think we would’ve made it without our 4 wheel drive. The cabin was beautiful and Clean. We love the wood burning stove. Overall it was a great stay for a quick evening getaway from it all!

Great little house with all of the basic amenities someone looking for a place not too rustic would love. Harvey was extremely friendly, and gave us any and all of the privacy we could want. The dirt roads are pretty bumpy, so if you come in a standard height car take it slow.

Beautiful place. I’m going to stay longer the next time. The tree house is big and clean. Mattress are good. The kitchen and Comunity areas are big, clean, and have everything that you need. Kid and dog friendly. You can hike, archery, or just relax. Easy to arrive. Wonderful views.

Weekend Trip to Sunny Mellow Eco Villa

So, if you are looking for a home away from home, this place may be for you. This is how I want to be living on a daily basis. We parked our car on the designated gravel spot. Walked the signed trail to a deck dedicated to yoga while a ping pong table is 5 feet away. Going along the path further you see a bunny hanging out in the brush while little birds fly bush to bush alongside you. Then you spot the entrance to the tree house. Directly behind it is your fully equipped kitchen with seating and all under a tin roof. Then a fire pit is on your way to the outdoor bathroom. Don't worry you cross a bridge and step over marked rocks like on an adventure. A hot water shower, relaxes you while the trees hang over with the blue sky peaking through. This place was paradise! Thank you for being so creative and well equipped for every possible situation! Top Notch!

A great retreat into the mountains. We hiked from the cabin and also drove to and hiked in Valles Caldera. Magical location. Beds were very comfortable. Cabin amenities were good. Just take care driving on the unpaved road up to the cabin. Stay center when possible to avoid ditches on the right.

1 night at Santa Fe Treehouse Camp & Wilderness Preserve

We loved this intentional and creative spot! The treehouse is roomy and all the beds were comfortable- my kids loved the hanging bunks. It was a fun change from all the tent camping we were doing on our road trip through New Mexico and we appreciated the bathhouse and kitchen spaces. It’s a beautiful and serene area and Ciana was wonderfully welcoming and helpful with getting us settled in. We definitely recommended the treehouse!

We had such an awesome stay at this cozy cabin!! It was very peaceful, private, and a perfect spot to unplug. Jen made everything simple and stress-free. The deck was our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening stargazing!! Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature.

The perfect place to get away. No Wi-Fi, no cell service, which means you have everything you need at this sweet little cabin to take you away from life’s distractions. We love being in the woods, cooking meals, watching the fire and having our dogs with us too! This cabin has the perfect porch for sitting out and awaiting the stars at night. So wonderful. The area is absolutely beautiful!! And Duc was amazing and accommodating! We felt welcomed and taken care of. Our cabin was lovely, and the area of the river we could walk to was absolutely stunning! And our boys loved feeding the animals and even got to help collect eggs. We couldn’t have had a better time!! Would love to come back and spend more time!

New Awning Over Front of The Chi-Treehouse! Around the back is the Kitchen, Dining, Fire Pit, Sunning Lounge, New BBQ, Bridge to the Private Outdoor Shower and Bath... And Just a 10 Second Walk over the bridge!

Greg and Robbie’s property was the perfect quiet weekend escape for my wife and I. It was very clean, and it had everything that we needed. We originally booked for one night, but we enjoyed it so much that we extended for an extra day. I’d even say it is much better than the photos. We will definitely book again if we’re back in the area.
