We have a screened in gazebo with a propane fireplace, a gas BBQ, outdoor shower, kayaks and hammocks for all to enjoy. Please do not be shy. Introduce yourself to the other campers. Share stories, make s’mores. Sing songs!!

This glamp zone occupies only 1.25 acres. Part of our mission in creating this space is to bring folks together. We encourage campers to mingle. Maybe organize a group float down the Chama. The float from just above Bodes to our very own shore is wonderful. It takes about two hours. There is one challenging spot, but beside that, the float is calm and tranquil.
Please be aware, we have cats, chickens, goats, donkeys, horses and dogs that live on the property. Your pets are welcome only if they are guaranteed to not pester or hurt our posse of pets. Also, we will not tolerate excessive barking or inappropriate running around or bothering ourselves or other guests. You must pick up all your and your pets waste and take it with you when you leave.

Lush high desert river oasis nestled in a fertile valley in the Carson National Forest right between the fiery expanse of Taos and the rolling colorful formations of Abiquiu. Peaceful and private 3 acres right by the river at the edge of a little quaint town called La Madera (145 people, no shops)- just 6 miles to the healing mineral Hot Springs of Ojo Caliente, a place of emergence or rebirth as known to the local Natives.
Right by the river, held by a ridge (that makes for amazing sunset hikes), I have a 16ft Yurt Canvas set up with furnishings (desk, couch, wash stand) and a wooden Queen Bed with down bedding. This site can only be reached by foot across the river via stumps- a car can be parked near by.. approx. 50ft.
I also have a Vintage Camper that can be heated, has a kitchen, electricity and plenty of outdoor furniture with a fire pit and serene mountain views. As well as a monastic and very grounding Ensuite Bedroom, or a simple campsite if you want to bring your own camper or tent. All facilities have access to a guest bathroom inside the main house.
I offer dog sitting while you soak at Ojo, healing modalities that you'll find in the Extras section, and my dear neighbor Jackie takes appointments for massages with homemade essential oils.
+++ 6 miles to Ojo Caliente Hot Springs. There you will find the best restaurant in the area, with locally/organically farmed produce.
The land is naturally and beautifully wild- it is not a manicured campsite. The dirt rd down to the property is best suited for higher clearance vehicles, but is manageable for city cars.
With land by the river comes the mosquitos- June to August only. They are predominantly active during sunrise and sunset; long loose fitting clothes and a repellent work great.
Waterhole, Waterfall and climbing sites near by, as well as Plaza Blanca, Abiquiu, Ghost Ranch and the Taos Gorge are 30 mins drive away.

Grass pasture/orchard farm with private river - in Cundiyo, NM - 24 miles North of Santa Fe, NM on highway 84/285 and highway 503. This unique cultural experience in a spectacular setting is a once-in-a-lifetime vacation off the high road to Taos. Grass pasture/orchard farm with private river - in Cundiyo, NM - 24 miles North of Santa Fe, NM on highway 84/285 and highway 503. Cundiyo is a unique, secluded Northern New Mexico farming community. 18-acre farm -classic western freestone stream runs through the property, and we own both sides of river for approx. 1/2 mile. A series of grass pastures/meadows are flood irrigated from the river via traditional Acequias. There are sturdy footbridges over the creek. Fruit trees and grass, glades of oak trees and stands of cottonwood. The banks of the creek are shaded by Alder and Willow trees. There is a simple treehouse and a zipline near one young orchard. By the river is a simple, old A-frame, log cabin that has a porch for shade/cot sleeping. Composting toilets (2) on property. Farm enjoys quiet and privacy, occupying its own stretch of the river valley from ridge to ridge. The river runs year-round and has excellent trout fishing. There are horses on the property, and frequent sightings of turkeys, riperian birds, coyotes, snakes, deer and bears. Incredible mountain and river views. Nearby hiking, kayaking, fishing, mountain biking. All roads to and through property are rough, 4WD roads. Property is boundary fenced. Canyon walls are very steep and impressive, having bouldering and rock climbing features. The canyon is so private you cannot see another light at night. No highway noise. Spectacular in all seasons. Exceptional culturally - day trips to Santa Fe, Taos, Chimayo, Abiquiu, and Ojo Caliente. Perfect for families or large groups. Unforgettable experience. Loved staying here! A beautiful spot with a little walk into town to grab a beer or food. The cemetery was filled with so much uniqueness. I would not have ever been graced with this sweet gem if it wasn’t for finding this camping spot!

We loved staying at the Silo! It served as a great base camp for our adventures throughout the weekend. It’s a short drive from Santa Fe and Taos and surrounded by a ton of outdoor recreation areas. The space itself had everything we needed - fully stocked kitchen, bathroom with a shower, and a comfortable bed. It’s also secluded and offers great solitude surrounded by nature. We briefly crossed paths with Pat who was very friendly and welcoming. We would happily stay again and suggest this stay to everyone!

Very cute little place. Nice private location, but easy to find. Pat is very kind. There were a few things in the Silo that didn't work upon arrival. Pat brought in the maintenance man, but was unable to fix them during our stay. Thanks for putting in the effort.
The bed is very firm but we found it very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen and linens situation. Porches are really nice for enjoying the views. We would definitely stay here again.

Pat was responsive to all our questions before and during our stay, and we appreciated her flexibility. Our concern about a gas smell turned out to be an unlit pilot light on the stove, and that was easily remedied. We also wondered if a silo would be drafty--but it wasn't. We were there in early October, and the view of the surrounding Chama River Valley was beautiful. We loved the Silo and would stay there again!

Excellent campsite to give you a wonderfully rural retreat in the hills, with fast and easy access to Albuquerque and all it offers.
Excellent full hook up facilities, flat gravel pad, looks towards the hosts home but far enough away for privacy. And the hosts were super nice and welcoming.
Huge pool / artificial lake you can swim in and beautiful Elks to wonder at. And you can purchase fresh meat from the very ranch on which they were reared.
This is what “Hipcamping” is all about and we would return again, and again, and it will be our go to place if and when we are back in the area.

Beautiful views and quiet. Quirky property with a cemetery (campsite is behind it near the edge of the mesa). The road to the site is rough and definitely requires higher clearance and 4WD/AWD. We made it up slowly in our electric mid-size SUV, not without a few sketchy bumps underneath. I couldn’t imagine a sedan having great success up the road (big rocks, big dips and eroded areas, and mud in areas after a rain). Just FYI!

The Edge was such a fun and funky place to stay! It’s about 1.5 miles from town so is quiet and up on the mesa—great for sunsets. The Land of the Dead was a nice treat as well, make sure to spend time there, looking at all the graves. Kim was a very gracious host, communicable and kind. Would stay here again!
