We are NOT an RV park nor are we a " camp ground " . We Are an Organic Garden ( Urban Permaculture ) that you can stay inside a magical, growing goodness space . This place is very, very private . The parking area is not private . Our road is dead end , very low traffic . The garden wall around the whole tent area has a 6 foot tall , very thick wall , and trees , surrounding every thing. There is a forest and pond for ducks behind the garden . Our place is for Wildlife, to be fed, and given water and safe space to raise young. We are located in an area where the birds of the world fly from the north to the south and then change direction each season. Many lizards . Many wild mammals . There are many farms in the area. With Horses , goats , chickens , ducks , mules, donkeys , other livestock . We have no pets and no livestock. At night this is dark ( we do have solar lights on walk ways ) and it is peaceful. A safe zone for travelers . Serene , gentle and lovely . You get your privacy . New Mexico is so amazing, all year . We have inside space in Fall / Winter . Welcome to Mother Bosque Garden . Started in Corrales NM in 2010 . We are in the North valley of Albuquerque New Mexico 87107. The same families have lived here for 100, 200, 300 plus years . 1000s of years . Native people have lived in this valley for close to 20,000 years more . The Rio Grande is very close by ( 2 miles west of us ) bike or by car . We are close to route 40 and route 25, just 7 mins. away . There is a Food Co-op with in a 5 mins. drive . And a regular store and gas within one mile of our place. Come eat Traditional New Mexican Foods and Heal with Very Living Traditional New Mexican Herbal Medicines . Relax, rest, find repose. The property is in the agricultural village of El Guique just north of Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, where indigenous settlements have existed for many centuries due to rich soil, proximity to the Rio Grande and Chama rivers. While we are in a rural area, you will be 10 min north of the town of Espanola and 5 min from the Ohkay Owingeh rest stop (with a great El Parasol Norte takeaway restaurant- don't miss their tacos!). It's easy to run to Espanola's Wal-Mart, Lowes or other stores if you forgot anything or need to purchase supplies. In terms of the campsite, our 5 acre property is a narrow agricultural strip that extends from the irrigation acequia (ditch) at the top of the dirt road down into a dense bosque (forest), ending in a path to the Rio Grande. The campsite is in the bosque (forest) a little distance from our house in the privacy of the cottonwoods and elms. At this time we do not have other campsites sharing the space so you will be camping by yourself and have the bathroom to yourself. It is a short walk from the camp to the Rio Grande where you'll find stairs to the river. The river is wade-able in the late summer but in winter/spring the currents are strong and not advisable for young children or non-swimmers. You and your family are welcome to walk back to our farm to interact with goats, chickens, and our friendly dogs, use the playground, or swing on the large swing by the pond. This property is at its best Summer through mid Fall when all is green, the pond is full and river is calmer. Winter camping is still doable but may include snow, a frozen pond, and leafless trees, as well as visiting sandhill cranes. The site is spacious, has a firepit with a cover. We can supply wood if you need it (just text us). In summer we have mosquitos being so close to river so come prepared with some serious sprays or creams- citronella candles and herbal stuff won't be effective here. You will have a lot of privacy in the bosque, and it is relatively quiet from urban noise. But you will be in agricultural country, so you will hear sounds of roosters, horses, goats, peacocks as well as our neighbors doing their thing in the farm land all around you. There can be dogs barking so if any of this noise bothers you at night you will want to bring earplugs.

Hiking is along the acequia, across the creek or you can actually hike in the creek, as the water runs underground shortly past my property. There are also many places to hike west of my property along Rosa Castilla. Wild horses roam all over the BLM land and along the creek. Desert area, 6000" elevation, so very dry and must be excectionally careful about fires. Only in provided grills . There is abundant wood that you can use for free, but put all coals out and you can use the creek water, when it is there. REMEMBER this is the desert!!I would like to book a 3 month visit from January 1st-April 1st with free water. You need to provide your own electricity, but solar would be an excellent option as sites are on south facing, so panels would work well. I would like to trade a discount for help on the farm during this time. $5.00 a day disount, plus the water. You would be the only one booked during this time, so very quiet and private for long term winter stay!!

Pristine camping along a small creek. Flat area surrounded by mountains and cottonwoods. Hiking is along the acequia, across the creek or you can actually hike in the creek, as the water runs underground shortly past my property. There are also many places to hike west of my property along Rosa Castilla. Wild horses roam all over the BLM land and along the creek. Desert area, 6000" elevation, so very dry and must be excectionally careful about fires. Only in provided grills . There is abundant wood that you can use for free, but put all coals out and you can use the creek water, when it is there. REMEMBER this is the desert!!I would like to book a 3 month visit from January 1st-April 1st with free water. You need to provide your own electricity, but solar would be an excellent option as sites are on south facing, so panels would work well. I would like to trade a discount for help on the farm during this time. $5.00 a day disount, plus the water. You would be the only one booked during this time, so very quiet and private for long term winter stay!!

Nice host. The morning coffee was a welcome offer. This is a convenient spot in town. The setting is a neighborhood house with tent sites in backyard garden. Very pleasant. Use of bathroom and shower a useful bonus. Will stay again when traveling through in future.

She was very welcoming and friendly when I arrived and was nice enough to make me coffee in the morning before heading out. We chatted and got to know each other a bit which was lovely. Our friends & I had a great time camping in our RVs at this location during the Abq Balloon Fiesta! It’s about 2 miles from the festival park, in a safe/gated location, and centrally located to so many things. The best part was waking up and having coffee and breakfast in our PJs while watching balloons drift literally right over us on one of the mornings we didn’t actually go in to the park. One even landed at the lot right across from us and the balloon crew let us watch it deflate. Such a cool experience. We had water and electricity and plenty of space to enjoy ourselves. Host was helpful and responsive to all our needs. Camping was a unique experience for those 5 nights and a memory we’ll cherish forever.

Rancho Algo Mas is 25 minutes or so from Ojo Caliente, one of our favorite places on the planet. You drive in past the main house, past all the animals of a working farm. You camp in a secluded grove of trees with fire pit, table, and freestanding compostable toilet. It was one of the best hipcamp experiences we've had! Very thoughtful touches. Our only regret is that we didn't get a tour of the whole property!

Beautiful views and quiet. Quirky property with a cemetery (campsite is behind it near the edge of the mesa). The road to the site is rough and definitely requires higher clearance and 4WD/AWD. We made it up slowly in our electric mid-size SUV, not without a few sketchy bumps underneath. I couldn’t imagine a sedan having great success up the road (big rocks, big dips and eroded areas, and mud in areas after a rain). Just FYI!

This site is right on the river bank and is super peaceful. We did not have any problems with bugs. The site is set up with full hook ups as well as a little patio with a fireplace and seating. J & T met us upon arrival and were very friendly and informative about local things to do. Getting out was a little tricky (our tt is 27’) but not impossible. We’ll definitely be staying again!
