We require guests to arrive no later than an hour before sundown (summer 7:30pm - winter 5:00pm) We require this because we are very rural and our sites are not lit to keep our property natural and prevent light pollution for ourselves and our neighbors. In the past we've issued refunds for people who have neglected this rule. We will no longer be doing so in the future.

Nestled in the bosque of the Abiquiu valley, filled with tall, majestic cotton woods and softly fragrant Russian olives. At sunset, the sky opens up to amazing beauty and the swallows begin their nightly swooping over the river. Very near by are locally owned cafes and historic places to visit. The Abiquiu valley is filled with music, arts, studio tours, spas, hot springs, lake recreation, fishing, hikes, and so so many spectacular things to see and experience. Some nearby highlights include Abiquiu lake, Plaza Blanca and Ghost Ranch, with many hidden gems in between. Reach out to us if you have any questions about local activities. We have uniquely remodeled vintage and modern, trailers and an Airstream available to rent in a lush, grassy field . The field is very open, we have some mature trees and have just planted some new, baby cottonwoods. We have a screened in gazebo with a propane fireplace, a gas BBQ, outdoor shower, kayaks and hammocks for all to enjoy. Please do not be shy. Introduce yourself to the other campers. Share stories, make s’mores. Sing songs!! Our yoga, meditation and meeting space is now open. If you are interested in booking this space for private use, please contact us to tell us what you are planning. We, live onsite at the edge of the resort area. Please respect our neighbors by remaining within the "Glamp Zone" This glamp zone occupies only 1.25 acres. Part of our mission in creating this space is to bring folks together. We encourage campers to mingle. Maybe organize a group float down the Chama. The float from just above Bodes to our very own shore is wonderful. It takes about two hours. There is one challenging spot, but beside that, the float is calm and tranquil. Please be aware, we have cats, chickens, goats, donkeys, horses and dogs that live on the property. Your pets are welcome only if they are guaranteed to not pester or hurt our posse of pets. Also, we will not tolerate excessive barking or inappropriate running around or bothering ourselves or other guests. You must pick up all your and your pets waste and take it with you when you leave. In the rugged desert environment, the secluded casita is located on Plaza Blanca (“the white place”), memorialized in countless paintings by Georgia O’Keeffe. On a remote mesa with spectacular views at the end of a steep dirt roadway, the 200 square foot Casita Samuel is a modernist jewel that blends native rock and local materials and with architectural details that pay homage to my architect father. Large windows let the outside in; real cork floors; and terrazzo in the kitchen and bath—all materials remembered from 60s LA. Includes a light-filled, restful salon with full-size bed and air conditioning and heat; a Prep Room (small kitchen); and a Wet Room, with Ruvatti sink, shower, and toilet. Livening up the Prep and Wet Rooms are murals by artist Scooter LaForge. With 9 acres of pristine natural landscape surrounding it all, the casita Is a space of deep solitude and silence—offering an ideal location to retreat, rest, write, and dream in the midst of a pristine enchanted landscape. This modernist jewel sits at the end of a steep and rocky dirt road. Though graded and well maintained, this road is rough so slow driving is recommended. Once you reach it, the casita is a still point in a churning and turning world. Located 150 feet above an arroyo on the edge of the Carson National Forest. This was my second stay at the same site, and it was just as magical and fantastic as the first one! Diana's communication was clear and helpful. The amenities such as bathroom, kitchen shed and hot tub were all kept clean and in great shape. And last but not least, the area where the property is located is JUST so amazingly beautiful and peaceful, with fall colors still adding more charm. I look forward to another stay!

This was exactly the getaway me and my pup were looking for! Beautiful views. Friendly hosts. Clean and maintained property. I had time to enjoy some kayaking and lounging. I will back to take advantage of the yoga yurt and outdoor shower. Highly recommended!

My significant other and I were passing through on our way back from a cross country road trip. We found this Hipcamp and it was incredible. We only stayed for one night but it provided us with everything we needed. The outdoor shower was beneficial for us, as we were hiking and camping for multiple days prior. We were able to clean up before heading home to Arizona. We enjoyed the most beautiful sunset and sunrise from our campsite. I appreciated all of the beautiful rocks and subtle trinkets placed around the property. My favorite part was viewing the abundance of the colors against the red rocks as the sun set. We ended the trip leaving some special rocks to add to the collection. ✨ Will be back and would recommend this Hipcamp to anyone needing an escape from the noise of life.

We went up to Javalí very much focused on paddle boarding both at Abiquiu and doing a two hour river paddle. I actually just booked at this property because my friend had already booked a spot there and I had no expectations. Y'all. This is a really special property. We came in and we're immediately drawn to the lounges that were facing the gorgeous river view. When I tell you that we didn't move from there for at least an hour. Complete & total nervous system reset immediately. There are so many thoughtful amenities around the property, including a gazebo with mosquito screen for later in the evening with a gas fire pit also facing the river, an open use yoga yurt, gas barbecue, hammock, hammock swing, lawn games, the sweetest baby goats, huggable donkeys, and super fantastic vibes. The hosts are authentic, relatable, kind, open, helpful, communicative and truly lovely people. We will definitely be back. If you are considering this spot, just do it. You won't regret it.

We stayed in the Blue Bird. It was cozy, clean and had everything we needed. Robin our host was super responsive whenever I had questions. The privacy and the view were great. We loved the property. It was both beautiful and peaceful. There are lots of birds to see. They had some friendly dogs. There were fantastic views of the stars at night. We would 100% stay there again. I stayed with a friend. She stayed in the bed and I slept on the couch and it worked out perfectly for us.

Amazing grounds, Plenty of room. It was just me and my dog and three other people sharing another RV. I had the Bluebird. One stayed for one night because of the smoke from fires coming from Arizona and Colorado. My little puppy just couldn’t catch his breath. Other than the smoke. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. The hosts were friendly and accommodating.

WOW the view!!!! I love the idea of being greeted and shown around, that was helpful. My site was very private with a short walk to the canyon edge. Even better, the view is the perfect site for a sunset. The directions were great, and the amenities were amazing. I loved that I had cell service, too.

Everything was PERFECT. From the river to the animals to the attention to play, freedom, relaxation and peaceful setting. This place has it ALL! Payment and reservation was stupid easy to set up. Everything was provided. Aaaaand there was shade, water, FIREFLIES and baby GOATS. Best money my tired city butt has spent in forever.
