2 nights at Castle De Rio

We had a great stay! Nikole was incredibly responsive, helpful, and kind throughout. The spot was exactly as described and shown in pictures—clean, well-lit, and easy to find. It’s in a quiet, safe neighborhood with friendly people out walking, some with their dogs, which made it feel even more welcoming. The water and power connections were exactly where Nikole said they’d be and were easy to hook up to. The garbage can was conveniently located right by the spot. Our camper trailer sits a bit higher so we were able to navigate the incline without issues. Lower sitting trailers would definitely need to take it an angle which Nikole plans on with the driveway open. She’s thought of everything. We appreciated the thoughtful setup and would definitely stay again in the future!

Courtney’s spot was a great spot! We were looking for a safe place to car camp after a concert at Isleta. It was a 10 minute drive to the venue and located near tons of breakfast places. It was clean and well maintained, secured and beautiful! Courtney worked with us for our super late arrival and made everything super easy. Would definitely stay again next time we’re in ABQ!

Th campground was nice enough but we did not use ant services…laundry or pool. Interesting configuration of campsites, but it worked. We had a tree that shaded our car! Staff very helpful. We added the n an extra night!

Weekend Trip to Elk Ridge Ranch

We enjoyed every bit of our short stay at the ranch! Our hosts were so welcoming and the animals on property were a highlight for our son. We would definitely recommend this lovely spot for anyone looking for a unique and relaxing time!

I’ve never been treated so well. They made feel like part of the family. Don’t miss out on this spot. It’s conviently located near most major stores. The area is quiet and beautiful. There close to parks and trails. This property gives you a great view of the hot air balloons that canvas the sky. I’m a travel nurse and I’ve been to many sites. By far I give this one 5 stars. We were on our way home from the Grand Canyon and needed a place to take a day to rest before making the long drive to Houston. Dale and Susan were an absolute delight and wonderful hosts for our family of five. Our kids loved feeding the elk, playing with the dogs, and swimming in the pond. The area nearby is beautiful and we left feeling refreshed and ready to head home.

Weekend Trip to Casa de Cass - City Oasis

Such a beautiful, well cared for and tranquil space. We so enjoyed our brief stay and wish it could have been longer. Chase is indeed a gracious and kind host. Great location for an overnight traveling I-40. Very quiet. We have a 23 ft class C and if you park facing the hookups no leveling required. We don’t have a horse but the facilities for them seemed excellent.

4 nights at Manzano Mountain Retreat

This was a wonderful camp spot for a reprieve on our trip across North America. The hosts were incredibly helpful and generous, showing us to our spot and sharing a meal with us when we first arrived and were tired and hungry. The ranch is lovely with lots of animals and apple orchards, as well as a pond and a few trails to explore. Closest town with grocery is about 25 minutes, and be wary gps may take you down dirt roads so turn off that feature if you don’t have the vehicle for that. Also, don’t forget to grab some apple cider for the road it is delicious, hands down the best Ive ever had!

Everything was wonderful at Neema's. I really appreciated the access to a restroom and shower. The property is well curated and very peaceful. The goats were an added bonus as well. I will definitely stay again.

3 nights at Elk Ridge Ranch

We spent several nights at the Elk Ranch using it as a base camp of sorts while we spent time visiting family and exploring the Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas. The site was easy to find, convenient, and offers a perfectly peaceful and beautiful view. Communications with Susan prior to our arrival were appreciated and helpful. Once there, Dale and Susan were fantastic hosts - we very much enjoyed and welcomed talking with them - it was as though we knew them forever. Their dogs are the sweetest, too with each stopping by from time to time for some attention. The Elk were a bonus for us. We learned a lot and were able to take home some meat and jerky. Getting to experience the elk up close was super cool since you don’t often find them roaming our home state. We would go back again and again as the hospitality won us over. Definitely a 10/10.

Ultimate peace and privacy. Nestled in juniper-wooded hills with sweeping views. Close to Albuquerque (20 minutes) and Santa Fe (40 minutes) but feels like a secluded retreat. Most people have no problem finding my place by entering my address in their GPS. However, I have had 2 HipCampers report their GPS directed them to a road called Camino de las Brisas or Las Brisas Loop. Turning here will lead you to a steep, dangerous road where it will be very difficult to turn around if you're in an RV and impossible with a trailer. Continue on Camino de Las Huertas to Senda Osa Vieja. It's marked with a street sign, a stone monument with brass plate. There's also a blue "private road" sign with a dragon. This land was purchased in 1956 by my archeologist parents because of the ancient pueblo site (dating from 1000 A.D.) and pit house sites (dating from 800 A.D.) Until the mega drought seriously impacted the land, a stream ran through it year round. Now it is only intermittent. Across the valley from this property, and within view of the campsite, is the site of a Spanish Colonial village, San Jose de las Huertas. It dates from the 1700s and is now owned by the Archeological Conservancy. This area is rich in history both Native American and Spanish. Learn more about this land: Located in the high desert 20 minutes from Albuquerque and 40 minutes from Santa Fe. Views of Sandia mountains, and near historic archeological sites. Within a 10 minute drive are popular mountain biking trails. Petroglyphs are a 20 minute, moderately strenuous hike from property. Very peaceful, quiet and safe. Read all the Rules and Safety info before booking so you understand exactly what facilities are and are not available, particularly if you in an RV or trailer.
